Morgan was super glad that it was basically repetition from here on out. They still had one other thing to train, and Morgan needed to slog through this one before they could begin the next one. Morgan took the message and replaced it onto the table with all of the other items. Yes, this was going very well. After this, it was just the standard repetition that they always did and dragged out, with Morgan using just the whistle, and the izer grabbing the message and only the message, before Morgan asked him to drop it. Morgan gave him the blue berry as a treat of course, and then continued working with him in the exact same manner. Command was given, the izer performed the function as per usual, and then he was given a treat. This repeated again and again until Morgan was pleased with him and felt like he had it down pat.
Morgan was pleased to note that there was only one more thing they needed to work on today. They planned to come back at some other point to train a few more things, and then eventually a few sets of things for self-protection or perhaps for show, but today they had a short list only for the training guild purposes. Morgan had a bunch of other creatures to worry about, after all, including the tat-lungs and Waar. Michiryuu and Domino were on the back-burner, and so was Pachinko in all honesty.
"Alrighty boyo, one last thing and then we'll get you home." Morgan said. Lots of progress was had today, even though it had been an arduous morning. The last thing was the location of Morgan; if that even made sense. Morgan figured that this one would be much easier, since Pachinko loved blueberries. They would use them to get the creature to come to them as a location.
This was, at least, what Morgan's plan was. They hoped that it would work out as they had planned, since that would ensure that they didn't have to waste a lot of time getting the rest of this hashed out. Of course, Pachinko and Morgan would have to return for the rest of the list. However, Morgan was planning on doing that well after all of the tat-lung were caught up. Heck, perhaps even Morgan would work with Michiryuu in the meantime before then.
Morgan gave the command they had chosen for their own location, and then placed the berry on their hand, holding out their arm away from where Pachinko was sitting nearby on the table. He saw the berry; and wanted it. That was that, Pachinko wanted that berry, and he moved up to Morgan's arm with a hop of a jump. "Good boyo, Pachinko!" Morgan said, allowing him to have the berry.
This was hopefully a good sign, but Morgan knew that they were going to have to eventually wean him off of expecting the berry, as they had before. Morgan gently took Pachinko over to the table and sat him down, knowing that he probably was too lazy to move unless prompted. They were right about this, in fact. He stood on top of the table preening the cloudy golden fluff on his wings and chest. Morgan stepped away at this point, and placed a berry on their arm when he wasn't looking. Then they gave the command yet again that they had chosen for the location of theirself, and immediately Pachinko heard the noise and looked up. He saw that Morgan had another berry on their hand just like earlier. It took absolutely no time for Pachinko to come on over again to get the berry. "Good boyo, Pachinko!" Morgan said.
Morgan repeated this a few times, each time they would bring Pachinko back to the table and sit him down before turning back around and doing the same thing again. A berry would be placed on Morgan's hand, and the command would be given. Pachinko got more and more ready for the command each time and would immediately move to Morgan's arm to get the treasured berry every time the command was given. Finally, Morgan felt like they could move on to the next step; that was, without the berry being obvious for him to see. Weaning him off of that would be very important indeed. Morgan put Pachinko back down onto the table, and then walked to a different area this time, not putting any berry on their hand. The command was given, and regardless of checking for the berry, Pachinko moved back to Morgan's arm. Success! Morgan was quite glad.
Now it was all repetition from here, and repetition they did. Morgan was getting quite good at that by now, it would seem. Morgan would give the creature a treat each time that it performed properly of course, but the treat wasn't visible at all. Morgan would place Pachinko on the table, and then walk away, farther and farther each time, trying to make sure that he knew that the location was indeed Morgan that he was supposed to be going to. Then the command was given, and every single time that it was the creature would move over to Morgan no matter how far away, and hop up onto Morgan's arm. That was exactly what Morgan wanted, of course. They went on repeating this for about thirty minutes, and finally Morgan was sure that he knew what he was supposed to. The two went home after that, since Morgan had more things that they needed to do today.
 - [End of 'Location : Morgan'] - [The pair go home]
Fiera Ferella: I picked mine because ive always wanted to write an amphadron tbh. :0 I'm eager to see how it'll turn out!

Riku: Oh, I see what you mean now, Nerius. Dang...that’s a good point. How do we get around it? Naturally we will look at the opponent’s stats - which can’t be done IC. Hm.

Èdan: Not necessarily, there's stuff that can affect a foe's aim in the same turn
Jul 11, 2020 8:51:23 GMT -6
Nerius: The lack of suspense. I slogged through them all for the points, but it got super tedious to write. (This isn't specific to mosca, just a general 'why I'm eh on this tourny'.)

Nerius: And it's not about "winning", rather I was referring to the disaster that was my attempt at the petite tournament. And how one glance at the stats made me go 'yep, gonna loose this one', and be proven right in every single round. It's not the loss, but..
Jul 11, 2020 6:39:31 GMT -6
Nerius: Yes, the dreaded auto-hit or auto-miss can strike at any time, but what I mean is the only way a mosca is loosing is if there's a un/lucky dice roll.

Èdan: Don't forget there's moves and abilities that halve dex or affect the opponent's aim. Not to mention, never underestimate the cruelty of a natural 1
Jul 11, 2020 6:16:47 GMT -6
Riku: High dex can miss. I had an unbroken brown who won like three fights by sheer luck of the enemy missing over and over. Lol Besides, not to be cliche, but...it’s not all about winning. You can come in second place and still get 23 pit points.

Jack: Don't forget to PM me your intent if you're entering! I need to know before training!
Jul 10, 2020 17:29:29 GMT -6
Fanged: I'll be going with a huntress mosca build I have in mind.
Jul 10, 2020 17:12:28 GMT -6
Xentus: I'm the one who's entering fully intending to utilize the 9 dex flighty mosca. Curious to find what might beat it
Jul 10, 2020 17:07:55 GMT -6
Flare: In opinion, I have a kakum baakir set aside for Flare's usage, but I've never worked with it. It'll be a new species to work with. Just because soemone enters a 9 dex creature doesn't 100% mean they'll win.
Jul 10, 2020 17:04:42 GMT -6
Nerius: Would use one myself, but I don't want to waste a re-growth on something I'll never do anything with outside this tournament, especially since there's no guarantee there will be enough people for it to run.
Jul 10, 2020 15:53:52 GMT -6
Nerius: I was looking at the stats of the creatures that could be entered, when it was first announced. Someone enters a flighty mosca? They're going to win. There's nothing that can move faster, and nothing that can survive a hit from wing buff while in flight
Jul 10, 2020 15:52:37 GMT -6
Nerius: I've considered it, as I do want the pit points, but I dunno. My last attempt at tournament rush training uh, did not go well *coughwhiptailcough*. Plus I suspect someone's going to enter a mosca and basically auto-win.
Jul 10, 2020 15:49:29 GMT -6
Riku: Hopefully more people do. Counting myself, I think there’s only 4 right now. 🤔
Jul 9, 2020 17:21:27 GMT -6
Flare: I'm gonna enter
