The Vulticus accepted the treat eagerly and snapped it up quickly. Now that there was a new trick to learn, Bingo was eager to get more treats. Fanged took some steps away from Bingo and watched as she darted back into the sauna. The woman had foolishly left the door open and Bingo was back to investigate the strange scent some more. However, her blunder also provided her with another opportunity to get Bingo to learn to come to her on command. She raised her fingers to her mouth and let out an even louder whistle this time. Immediately, Bingo snapped to attention. The noise was loud and worked well to draw the Vulticus’s attention back over to her. Remembering that she could be rewarded with a treat, Bingo trotted eagerly towards Fanged. Once she reached the woman, she was quickly given another treat to devour.
“Excellent work girl! You’re catching on quickly!”

Once the treat was gone, Bingo once again retreated back over towards the sauna. Fanged wondered if she should properly investigate the area in order to figure out what had Bingo so fascinated, but she wanted to train the trick first. With the Vulticus distracted, Fanged whistled as loud as she could in order to draw Bingo back over to her. The sound had lost some of its excitement now and Bingo was more interested in investigating the strange smell. When Bingo didn’t come immediately, Fanged whistled again. As though suddenly remembering that she could get a treat, Bingo tore herself away from the smell and raced towards Fanged.
“Nicely done! Timing could be a little quicker, but I won’t criticize you for that,” Fanged remarked.
She quickly fished out another treat and handed it to Bingo. The Vulticus slobbered over her palm as she grabbed the treat and gobbled it up.

This time, Bingo didn’t immediately race back over to the sauna. Apparently, the smell had gotten boring to her. This gave Fanged a chance to change up how she trained the trick. She moved over towards the door and whistled sharply. Bingo perked up and raced over to join Fanged where she was. Instead of a treat this time, Fanged gave her a good scratch behind the ears. Bingo accepted this reward with much enthusiasm. She waited for Bingo to move away from her before she made her next move. The bathroom door was open and she snuck through it, making sure that Bingo didn’t notice her. When she was on the other side, she raised her fingers to her mouth and whistled again. Bingo looked up in confusion, not sure where Fanged had gone to. Fanged whistled again to give her another hint. This time, Bingo realized that Fanged had left the room.

Bingo raced out of the room and met Fanged in the main bedroom. She wagged her tail happily when she reached the woman and received enthusiastic pets from her. Additionally, she was rewarded with another treat for a job well done. Bingo accepted the treat gratefully and moved away to eat it in peace. While Bingo was busy, Fanged moved herself back into the bathroom and hid behind the door. Bingo would need to put in some extra effort to find her. She waited for Bingo to finish eating before she whistled again. Bingo responded instantly and she began to track where the sound had come from. It took her a bit longer, but she soon realized that Fanged had snuck into the bathroom. She followed her nose and soon discovered the woman waiting behind the door.
“Good work, Bingo!” she praised.
Bingo wriggled in excitement and gleefully accepted the ear scratches that Fanged gave her.

March Fanged had managed to find the thrumming crystal and had taken Bingo home unscathed for a break. She hadn’t wanted to tucker the Vulticus puppy out too much so she had cut her trip a bit short. Now she and Bingo were back for another go at the mansion. The Vulticus puppy was all rested up and eager to get back to adventuring. They headed up the steps of the mansion, Fanged taking the lead and Bingo following her close behind. Bingo waited at the door eagerly. Fanged opened it quickly and placed a foot out to stop Bingo from just bolting inside. Bingo found it hard to sit still while Fanged did a quick sweep of the inside of the mansion. Surprisingly, it looked more like a garden than it did a proper room. However, it was suspiciously void of any life. Without insects or small animals, the whole thing felt plastic. She warily approached one of the plants present in the room. She touched its stem and was quite surprised that it was actually real. How did they get enough sunlight? The room didn’t have any windows and she wouldn’t call the lights above particularly bright. Bingo was pleased to be in the plant room. She moved closer to a bush and marked her territory. Well at least she hadn’t done it in a proper room. The room felt pleasant to explore. The temperature was warmer than the air outside was, but it wasn’t warm enough to force Fanged to remove her windbreaker. She wandered around the plants, looking for anything that appeared out of place. On closer examination, there appeared to be small eggs hidden among the plants. When Fanged picked one up she realized they were made of plastic. She shook it, checking to see if there was something hidden away inside.

Something inside the plastic egg rattled as she shook it. She tried to crack it open, but it was more difficult to do so than she had anticipated. It was as if what remained inside wanted to be hidden. Bingo raised her head at the strange sound and trotted over to join Fanged near the center of the room. She wriggled excitedly as she found a different egg on the ground. She picked it up gingerly in her teeth and then raced around excitedly. Fanged beamed at her for a moment before she looked for a way to break open the egg. There were some rocks in this room’s manufactured garden. They should prove helpful in cracking open some plastic. She scanned the area, noting that there were many decorative rocks to choose from. They were sizable and she might not be able to pick them up, but she could certainly smash an egg against them.

Bingo followed her as she approached the largest rock in the room. It was light grey and had jagged corners which would work well to break plastic. She held up the egg and tapped it against the rock as she tried to locate a good enough spot. When she found one, she held the egg up and struck it against the rock with considerable enough force. Immediately, the plastic crumbled into pieces, revealing the objects hidden inside the egg. The first thing that fell out was a bright pink cluster of glitter. Fanged dodged the annoying substance, in turn sending the small sparkles straight down onto the plants around them. She also did her best to keep Bingo away from the glitter, but the Vulticus was less careful. She managed to avoid the glitter for the most part, but Bingo still got her paws coated in the sparkles. Fanged would have to deal with that later.

Inside the rest of the egg were objects that were more interesting than glitter. She couldn’t exactly call them useful items, but they certainly were interesting. The first item she pulled out was a small slime figure of a flower. It looked like something that might appeal to a child and Fanged could certainly understand why. She didn’t feel great about dropping the slime flower on the ground, but she didn’t have any reason to keep it. Bingo immediately darted towards it and went to grab it in her mouth. She soon realized she would have to drop the egg she already had in order to pick it up. Ultimately, she decided to keep the egg. Fanged sifted through the rest of the egg she had broken open. She pulled out a small metal puzzle game, a pile of feathers, and a plastic whistle. The only thing that looked remotely useful was the whistle.

With the egg successfully broken open and discarded, Fanged decided to take a break and get some training done. She called Bingo over and brought out a bag of treats for her. The Vulticus immediately perked up with interest. Treats were always welcome to her! Training stay always made Fanged feel a bit bad, but it was an important trick for pets to learn. She started by introducing the command word to Bingo.
“Stay!” She held up a palm out in front of her to emphasize her point.
Fanged then began to move away from Bingo. The Vulticus found it quite difficult to stay still. She moved forward as soon as she found interest in something else.
“Bingo, no,” Fanged told her.
Bingo stopped, but she was confused as to why she was being told no. Fanged stepped back over to her and handed her a treat for following the command.

Bingo didn’t mind the trick now that she had gotten a treat out of it. She might not understand things completely, but food was one language that was universal in her eyes. When Bingo was done eating, Fanged repeated the command.
“Stay!”
She then took small steps away from Bingo, watching the Vulticus’s reaction closely. Bingo waited in place for a moment before she moved forward.
“No, Bingo. You need to stay!” Fanged told her the command again.
Bingo stopped where she was. She appeared a bit sad to be told off again, but she still listened to the command. Fanged made sure she continued to stay in place for a bit longer before she rewarded Bingo with another treat.
“That’s a good girl, Bingo. You’re starting to get the hang of it.”
She waited for Bingo to finish eating her treat before she decided to continue. This time, she waited for the Vulticus to become distracted first.

It didn’t take long for Bingo to return to playing with the plastic egg she had found earlier. Briefly, Fanged had a realization that she should probably try to open that one as well. But that could wait for her to finish training first.
“Okay, Bingo!” she called out to her pet. “Stay!”
She moved quickly away from Bingo this time, trying to entice her into following based upon her chase instincts. Unfortunately, this worked a little too well and Bingo stayed only for a few moments before moving to follow Fanged.
“No, stay!” she repeated the command.
Bingo stopped moving, flicking her ears back briefly as she looked dejected. She soon changed pace however and looked more determined than sad as she focused on the trick. Fanged took more steps away from her, only stopping when it became evident that Bingo wasn’t about to move.
“Great job, girl!” she praised Bingo.

She moved back over to Bingo and handed her another treat. Bingo accepted it happily and Fanged didn’t think she even tasted it as she gulped the treat down. Now that Bingo had a baseline for the trick, she wanted to test to see if the Vulticus could perform the trick without mistakes.
“Bingo, stay!” she commanded Bingo.
The tiny puppy remained still, though her focus remained on Fanged as the woman walked away from her. Fanged continued moving until she had deemed that enough time had passed.
“Alright Bingo! That was an excellent job!” she praised. Fanged took out another treat and tossed it to Bingo. It landed on the ground in front of her and the Vulticus was quick to snap it up. Once she was finished, Fanged had her repeat the trick.
“Stay girl!” she said in a firm tone.
Fanged then turned her back to Bingo and started walking away.
