The Herbologist’s Delight was one of those stores that Fiera hadn’t had much experience with before, even though she knew it was one of the most popular shops in the labs. She had been there what, once? Twice? Certainly not enough times for it to be familiar to her. However, here she was now, and she knew what she was here for. Her collection of magic crystals had been growing lately, and so had her interest in making a node. To do that however, and take advantage of the powers of magic, she still needed to pick up a couple of ingredients. One of those was a magical berry, only produced by one special species of plant creature. “Hello there.” She said, sauntering up to the front desk. “I’d like to purchase a king of the evergreen. You still have some in stock, correct?” She said smoothly.

Fiera blinked, a little surprised. She wasn't expecting such a polite response! What a sweet old lady this was- it was enough to make her feel almost embarrassed for her usually snooty atmosphere. She chuckled a bit, her shoulders dropping and relaxing as she let some of her perpetual wound up tension go. "Oh, uh, I wouldn't worry about that. It doesn't really matter to me. Just pick whichever one's been here the longest or needs the most love or something, you know?" She said. She shuffled a bit at the offer of cookies. "Ah, sure! I'd love some." She said, not even thinking about what kind or if they were any good- with how nice this place smelled, Fiera was sure they'd be perfect. She'd have to find a reason to come back here in the future- this shopping trip was a lot more pleasant than she thought it was going to be.
Alura smiled again and passed her the little bag of cookies and then nodded, "Of course dear, I'll be right back." She moved to the back of the store, to the greenhouse, and wrangled one of the Kings after a few moments, leading it out on a leash. "Here you are, this one has been here for quite some time, I hope you can let it flourish!" the older woman announced with a bright look on her face, "Is that all for you, dearie? Or is there something else?"

Fiera waited patiently as Alura went and fetched the king of the evergreen, turning the little bag of cookies over in her hands. It was a simple little bag, burlap with a drawstring. Fiera could smell the cookies from here though- they really were hot out of the oven. She made a mental note to resist eating all of them before she got home, but she doubted that that was a promise she'd be able to keep. Soon enough, she heard a rustling and the opening of the door, and she came back with the creature in tow, ruffled up and on a leash. It looked a little scruffy, but the humanish wasn't sure if that was from its age or just the effort of getting it out here. Fiera reached out for it instinctively before turning back to Alura. "Oh yes, thank you." She said, taking the small king. "I appreciate all the help today."

Oh, right. Payment. Fiera had nearly forgotten about that. She fumbled for her coin purse, counting out the credits as she poured them into her hand. The king of the evergreen looked up at her as she worked, clearly nonplussed about the wait. It was quite a cute creature, if she was being honest. This one she had been given seemed to have a nice temperament as well- or at least a placid one. Finally, she managed to scrape all the credits together, placing them on the counter with just a little bit of awkwardness. "This should be it- fourty credits. Thank you so much for everything today." She said before pocketing her coin purse- and the bag of fresh cookies she was given- once more. She picked up the king of the evergreen's small lead again too. Fiera didn't need it running off on her just after she bought it, after all.
Alura smiled and waved at the woman and her King of the Evergreen after she counted the credits. "Good luck to you, dear!" she called after her.
Morgan: No one knows yet. But I did want to make it clear that the jar itself isn't used for lotine husbandry in any way. c:

Twilight-Claw: I'm only assuming that it does something similar like a Fungal Beast that infects a Leaf-scatter. (the one with moss and I think it was a pink flower growing on the head.)

Silver: I'll try it soon and we'll find out!
Jun 5, 2020 4:16:11 GMT -6
Silver: I don't think anyone knows yet!
Jun 5, 2020 4:16:05 GMT -6
Darky: What did the 'infection' do again?
Jun 5, 2020 4:14:43 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for this information, its really useful to know! <3
Jun 5, 2020 4:14:30 GMT -6
Morgan: The lolatic doesn't disappear after one use, and can be reused on the same lotine when it is allowed to 'infect' a lotine- to my knowledge.
Jun 5, 2020 1:41:37 GMT -6
Morgan: The only effect/thing that the jar can be used for is to open up into a lolatic. The jar itself has no use in lotine breedings.
Jun 5, 2020 1:39:52 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: and the jar is then gone, if with the creature I am more guessing with this the creature doesn't disappear and it has unlimited use.
Jun 5, 2020 0:17:55 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Something else I am wondering about with the Lotine breeding is whether one would use the jar the Lolatic comes from in the breeding, or actually the creature itself. I'm assuming with it if its the jar, then it gives people only one shot in a breeding,
Jun 5, 2020 0:16:08 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Then using it in my rps is definitely just for the sake of rp's and not for anything additional.
Jun 5, 2020 0:12:17 GMT -6
Renathan: Fish are unlimited use once bought though. c:
Jun 4, 2020 22:31:17 GMT -6
Renathan: There's no additional effect for adding a fish to a magical berry in a lotine breeding. Magical Berry is kinda it's own thing. Adding a fish for roleplay value shouldn't hurt, but it has no effect when used on a magical berry lotine breeding.
Jun 4, 2020 22:27:14 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: be just for the sake of rp, and perhaps seeing if it might lent a bigger chance to multiple offspring with unique pattern. X3
Jun 4, 2020 15:31:01 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I think your right on it being unlimited use yeah, although.. *cough* I only found out a couple hours after I started writing that I had yet to buy the fish in question so used the one you could get for free as a replacement, it still was meant to mostly
Jun 4, 2020 15:30:59 GMT -6
Riku: From what I loosely understand about the fish is that it isn't one-use, whereas the berry is. I feel like there wouldn't be any consequence of 'using' the fish...which I'd think just ooc wouldn't be counted for whatever rolls or whatever it is that it uses
Jun 3, 2020 14:14:30 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?
Jun 1, 2020 6:09:21 GMT -6
Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)
Jun 1, 2020 5:36:49 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I am still interested in trading it for a green drake.
