'Keep at it, Basa', Xentus encouraged excitedly, 'Keep moving, do not get hit!' Normally, he wouldn't take pleasure in assaulting his beloved pet like this, but knowing the bean bags hardly registered to the beast made it guilt-free. Besides, Basantai seemed to be having fun with this little game. Its front legs 'tippy-tapped' as lightly as a several hundred ton beast could, shaking the earth with each step. He supposed that fulfilled the 'keep moving' past of his instruction. The man's lips were curled into a permanent smile as he began his next wave of hacky sack assault.
He rained down upon the serpent with two consecutive throws, aiming down the length of the body. The first bounced off the shimmering white scales, and the second missed. Basantai less moved in time to avoid getting hit, and instead moved after the first hit enough for the second to miss. He supposed it counted as a win.
'Yes, good job, Basa!'

Encouragement and repetition were key to teaching anything. Even if it was by coincidence, Xentus celebrated it. Basantai swelled with satisfaction, rumbling deeply. The low vibrations shook his body even from his vantage point in the air. But it wasn't time to celebrate too much. The training continued in a beat. 'More, Basa!'
Hacky sacks resumed raining from above as Xentus threw the last few he had left. Basantai watched him with increasing care, tracking the first sack as it came hurling toward him. He knew he had to move. Shuffle away, step away. Thump! Too slow. Thinking about moving took too long. The sack bounced off his hide and tumbled to the ground. The next one was coming while his eyes were still on the first. His finned ear twitched, hearing Xentus straining as he threw. Basantai struggled to discern where he could be hit, but did his best to move all the same. Move away!
