Renathan was quiet as the creature finished her seed. He was beginning to get very contemplative, after all. The snowy landscape nearly felt draining on him; he wanted to go home and curl up by the hearth with a fuzzy blanket and some hot cocoa. However, he still had things to do today; lots of things! Renathan grabbed on to that tenuous thread of determination, and then mixed up the yarn balls again. He continued to work with Auburn on her blue 'lae' command, and then slowly switched to mixing it up; calling out commands for blue, then green, and then orange, and then going back around yet again. He wanted to make sure that all of her colors were sticking, after all, and it didn't feel like a burden. He was glad that it wasn't taking long for her to get these colors, because Renathan was about ready to be done with them. He was finally happy with her ability to pick out blue all the time, and he decided to move on.

Well, it was time for the next color and it was already driving Renathan crazy with monotony. He had no idea what possessed him to do these anymore, he knew that he was planning on using this neat set of tricks in a contest someday, maybe a lot of contests, since they didn't seem to be too hot at the moment with the populace... Anyway, he knew he had to push himself through these next two colors, and then they could actually move on to something else more useful or interesting to teach. Auburn cuddled into his knee in an attempt to comfort him from whatever negative emotion he was having, she wasn't too sure and just accepted her role as a comforter quite well. Reanthan petted her, and then pulled out the next colored yarn ball from his bag, not even wasting time by pulling out a different set of yarn balls altogether this time.

It seemed that the next yarn ball was coincidentally very purple. Yes, the word for purple this time. Renathan stood up for a moment, stretching his cold joints out a bit before settling back down. Auburn may not be bothered by the cold weather, but the mammalian really did not like the winter at all. He pushes a bit of snow out of the way from his seat before settling down this time, however. Renathan then pointed at the purple yarn ball, drawing Auburn's attention once again. He then called out the command for it as usual, feeling a bit repetitive. "Tii." He said, and then he gestured to it again. "Tii." He pointed at it one last time, and poked it with one of his fingers. "Tii-ii... Tii." He felt like that would be quite good enough. Auburn immediately ran over to it and grabbed it happily, cuddling her face against the yarn ball that was actually comically sized compared to her.

Renathan decided to throw her a metaphorical bone, and he took the yarn ball from her, replacing it with a seed. Even if he was a bit bored training the colors still, he was very pleased with her and she was doing a great job thus far. Renathan had a huge soft spot for the tiny bird, he was super careful to keep her as comfortable as possible, and as happy as possible. Renathan waited until she finished her seed and threw away the empty seed casing before he continued on with training her the distinction word for the color purple. "Tii." He said, not giving any physical indication of which of the colors she should be looking for. The word seemed to be enough for the well trained bird, and Renathan was glad to see her run without any issues to the purple yarn ball, even ignoring the blue and green ones that were right next to it.

Renathan happily traded another seed for the purple yarn ball again. He stared at the purple yarn ball with an empty kind of gaze as the jibiji gladly chowed down on the seed. Renathan wasn't quite sure why he was feeling so funky today, but he wanted to finish this off as soon as possible. Perhaps it had to do with how many links he was feeling at the same time recently, it was distracting and hard to concentrate on one at a time with so many creatures around. He wondered exactly how one was supposed to deal with all of those links at once. Renathan tried to focus on Auburn's happy link for now, however. After the jibiji finishes her seed, Renathan calls out the command yet again. "Tii." The creature ran over to the purple one without any issues at all. Then, Renathan traded a seed for the purple yarn ball again.

The jibiji was super happy about this, as always, and Renathan mixed up all of the yarn balls again. Auburn was just tearing through these colors, and he was glad that sooner or later they would be done with these. All they had left was the pink color, right? Renathan got a jolt of excitement at that knowledge, they could move on to something else soon enough! Renathan then called out the command for the purple yarn ball distinction again, and the jibiji ran up to the purple one excitedly. One traded seed later, and Renathan was beginning to work the creature through all of the colors on the table yet again. First purple, then green, then blue, then orange, and back around again. The jibiji was taking this as well as Renathan could have hoped, not having any issues differentiating between these at all. Renathan decided after a while to move on to the last one now.

Renathan was glad to be able to move on to the distinction word for the color pink now, as it was, thank goodness, finally the last color. Renathan's happiness certainly leaked across the link, making his jibiji even happier; puffed up against the snow like the cutest ever marshmallow. Renathan couldn't help but laugh at his own idea there; she would be a mighty big marshmallow! Renathan was quiet for a moment, and then took all of the remaining yarn balls out of his backpack, red, yellow, and pink. All of the yarn balls were on the table now, sitting on the powdery snow. The jibiji seemed super excited now; she was always happy to learn more stuff and earn more seeds; and seeing all those yarn balls must have immediately triggered her into seeing more seeds in her immediate future. Renathan could feel her excitement through the link, and was happy. This would go by quickly, he was sure.

Renathan stared down at all the yarn balls, forcing himself to continue with this last color training part. He pointed to the pink one, delighted that Auburn immediately stared at it carefully. Renathan called out the final command. "Dao." He said, his mind mentally flashing pink at himself. He was using the color names in his language, to continue her training words as they had been; in his native tongue. "Dao." He said, pointing at the pink yarn ball. The jibiji was already making her way to the pink ball. "DAO. Daayoo. Dao." He repeats, gesturing to the pink ball. Auburn immediately runs up to the pink yarn ball as soon as Renathan moves his hand away from it, and she grabs it, rubbing her head against it almost like a cat. Renathan chuckled at the adorable picture this presented, and he quickly traded her a seed for the pink yarn ball, happy that she was getting this so quickly as per usual it seemed.

The training was going well so far, and if Renathan had any say in it; they would train at least one more thing after this. He just... Had to decide what to train the creature to actually... Do. He was beginning to really thin out his list, after all, and he was really running out of things to randomly train Auburn. Relatively soon, he knew that she would be as trained as she could be, and he would have to find some other way to spend productive time with her. He wasn't sure what at this point, but he was sure there would be something to do! Renathan quickly gave the creature a seed in return for the pink yarn ball, and he begins taking all of the yarn balls up in his hands so that he could mix them up. He does so, and then gently puts all of them on the table atop the snow.

The jibiji finished her seed quite quickly, tossing the seed casing away. Renathan was always amused by how many seed casings were around in the snow whenever they were finished with things. Before, in the summer, the seed casings would be lost visually, at least to himself, in the grass and he hadn't really noticed. However, now that it was in the winter atop the snow, the seed casings could be seen as plain as day. Renathan chuckles at this, and then he called out the command for the distinction of the pink color. "Dao." He says, softly. Auburn ran over to the pink one, picking it out against the myriad of other colors, even the red and purple ones. Renathan traded another seed for the pink yarn ball, and he mixed all of the yarn balls up again. The jibiji was super happy to have another seed, and Renathan hoped that she wasn't going to run out of that excitement any time soon.

Renathan was glad that the creature did take to training quite well and without fighting him every step of the way. Renathan waited until the jibiji finished up the seed and threw the casing away as per usual. Renathan was glad that the seeds were completely biodegradable, or else this place would probably be covered in thousands of these seeds in huge piles all around the area. The idea made Renathan laugh a bit. Renathan continued working with the creature with the pink yarn ball until he was sure that the creature got the Dao command down pat. Then he proceeded to work the creature through all of the colors in turn, the whole way through the rainbow. Each time the command was given, the creature picked up the correct yarn ball and he was able to trade a seed for the yarn ball. Eventually, Renathan felt like all the colors were now down pat, including the pink one, and he could not be more relieved. That was very, very receptive.

Renathan knew that now they would be able to work on a different training bit, though he wasn't sure what yet. He had a moment to decide as he took all of the yarn balls and put them all back in his backpack. Now, he knew that Auburn knew how to do the completely yarn ball trick, which would be adorable in the contest ring. Renathan had to decide now exactly what the last thing or couple of things he was planning on training today. He looked up and glanced around him, and then finally decided on working with her flight. He wanted to teach her to do a barrel roll, or at least one of those quick dodging rolls in the air. He figured that this would give her a bonus in getting away from enemies. Renathan made sure that everything was together, and then he called the jibiji up into the air. Renathan had to decide how to do this now... And what command.

Renathan decided quickly on the command word; Saeri. This word was pretty close to her other aerial commands, and he tried to keep them all similar and grouped with other commands of the same general type. This allowed him to memorize the commands, and might help the creatures too, who knows. Renathan thought of himself as a decent creature tamer but he was in no way a master at it. He wondered if anyone could really call themselves that, as if there was nothing else to learn at all... Renathan wondered about that. Renathan then called out the command, "Saeri!" which drew the jibiji's attention automatically. Whenever she came close to Renathan, he playfully tried to swat at her, which had the desired effect of her rolling away. She tended to roll anyway, just to play, and he'd hoped that this would prompt that reaction. It made training her this a lot easier. She lands not long later, and Renathan gives her a seed for her trouble.

The jibiji seemed confused but took the seed anyway, eating it quickly. Renathan was sure that they would get this completely quite soon, so he wasn't too worried about this slight confusion he could feel across the emotional link thing. The jibiji finished her seed and seemed to contemplate for a moment, staring at Renathan. Little did Renathan know, she was working through the training since she was so used to it. She knew the command for flying, and the command for landing. That command he used was not either of those. She received a seed, so she had done something right; but what was it? It had to be the thing that was different. She slowly worked out that it was something to do with the swat, though she wasn't sure what. She'd just have to test it out! Renathan called her up into the air as soon as she finished her seed.

Renathan was a bit shocked when the jibiji seemed to fly close to him, as if waiting for him to call a command. He should probably be used to her excitable working nature, but he was always a bit shocked because she was so different than his other creatures. Renathan did call out the command, "Saeri!" The jibiji tried something, coming near him to see if he would swat at her he was sure, but he didn't want to get her too used to that. She flew around in a circle and then did a roll, testing him, he realized. Renathan immediately called out positive reinforcement words, and when she landed he gave her a seed for her trouble. She was really used to him now, and that was making training a bit easier. Renathan waited until she was finished with her seed and then called her up in the air again to work on this now that she seemed to have gotten it.
