Renathan had one traded extra supplies that he had to the kid for a number of extra serpentine, and it was time to get those liquidated. Well, all but five of them anyway. He was still holding out hope that the gemstone workshop would come back- and he did love to actually use serpentine. So he had picked out a few pieces of serpentine before he put Auburn on his shoulder and went out to The Underground. Renathan patted Auburn on the shoulder as he went, and when he was close to the shop, he went ahead and left Auburn on a nearby ledge, telling her to stay.
It was close enough that it wouldn't be an issue for him to walk inside without her on his shoulder. When he stepped in, he held the sack of gems up. "Hello Mister Kor, I'm here to sell some gems today." Then, another thought, he'd brought another sack just in case. "And do you happen to take Ore?" He also had quite a bit of spare ore at this point, and he probably wouldn't use this many of them in all honesty.
Kor looked up from the gems upon his work desk, pocketing the loupe that had been up to his eye before turning to his customer. A small nod of recognition as the mammalian approached; he'd gotten plenty of gem stock from this one before, likely he could come to expect more. "Hullo there," he returned, not unkindly but as deep and gravelly as ever. Of course he was right about the gems to be sold; considering it was raw material for him, the workman didn't seem to mind the selling near as much as others would. "Course, let's take a look at 'em," the man agreed readily; that was one of the reasons why he was here, after all! "Ore? Yeah sure, letssee it, too." Truth be told, ingots were tidier and much nicer to have around - but it was difficult to demand such things when the workshop was closed and most denizens didn't happen to have access to smelting without it.
Renathan couldn't remember whether he had sold ore to the shop in the past or not, but the look on the shopkeeper's face told him that he indeed had, and that he had forgotten. Woops! Auburn was singing outside again (she always sounded so happy- every season except for the summer.) and Renathan was glad that she was doing okay. In the future, he'd have to start using the sever bond spell again. He always had to in the summer so that she could be kept in a room that circulated air and kept her cool with all of her fluff! "Here you are sir!" Renathan said, face in a grin behind his mask. He put both sacks down with the serpentine in one and the ore in the other, to where the shopkeeper could get to them easily. "Thank you." He said, as he twined his tails around his leg to make sure he didn't accidentally step on them.
Kor nodded to the bags set before him, too stoic for any reaction to peek through when the bags were upended to reveal another impressive gathering of serpentine. Why, he'd just picked up quite a lot of the gems from a completely different customer! Pulling the loupe back out of his pocket, gems were counted and inspected one by one as he mulled their abundance over. Maybe someone had unearthed a particularly prolific vein in the mines of the stuff? Whatever the source, his jewelry designs were going to be awfully green for a time. Gems sorted and accounted for, Kor turned to the ore which was appraised in the same way. A few numbers were jotted down on a nearby notepad, and the man nodded to his customer; it didn't take long when you'd been at this as long as he had. The piles of gems were placed back on the countertop for now, should they want to take any back. "I kin' give ya' 1,225 on tha' serpentine, an' 1,520 for tha' shadow iron; so 2,745 if you're lookin' to sell the whole lot."
Renathan totally would have kept his large hoard (which had had been selling in pieces for some time now) had he had anything to use them for, but as of right now he knew that he needed the credits more- and he could always go down to the mines for more. Of course these particular pieces all came from the trader over the last year. He didn't at all feel bad whenever he handed over the pieces for checking. It really was amazing that the traders' had this many gemstones at one time, though they all appeared quite different to him. He knew that whatever the amount that was appraised, he'd most likely be selling both lots. He listened to Auburn outside while he waited as she sang, and then whenever the shopkeeper let him know the price he nodded. "Certainly, That's price works for me sir- I'd like to sell both lots." He decided.
"Alrigh' then," Kor responded, nodding to himself as he set about sliding the precious stones off the counter and into his own trays for later sorting. The customer's pouches were set at the edge of the counter nearest him, followed shortly by neat stacks of credits so that the large denomination could be counted while Kor counted them out. "Tha's 2,745 credits," he confirmed as he finished counting, pushing the stacks forward. "An' my thanks! Be sure to come back if y'find anything else interesting for me." He always needed material for his shop, after all.

Xentus: Contacted cubeupload about this and another issue I'd been having, turns out the image not updating may be a cloudflare issue. But, the server is getting an update hopefully over the weekend that'll resolve this

Morgan: You did a great job. c: I love how his face looks, and that wing aura is probably my favorite thing about him. I've kinda associated constellation-y stuff with Morgan's magic before I even had Morgan onsite, and it really ties them together.
Sept 30, 2020 23:46:37 GMT -6
Xentus: I was afraid I didn't apply his concepts very well actually heh. The mask inspired his markings and his face shape vaguely. If you look closely at his wing arua, there's little constellations
