Note to self, Morgan thought, Kairfuryoo could not learn Marhoo, or they probably couldn't at least. That would allow Morgan to not have to try to learn Marhoo, but it was going to make it to where they would have to come up with another plan to allow Mikoto and Miyabi to learn how to communicate. Little Millicent had a start in life that allowed for speech, and even the tat-lungs could learn LSL if all else failed, but Morgan wasn't sure about the boys. They still had to answer the kid, though. The Aolani was obviously beginning to like Morgan more, seeing as she rubbed her crest into Morgan's hand as they spoke. "I ain't a politician, kiddo." Morgan admitted. "A-and I don't think the Labs-" Morgan said, with a sneer to boot. "Would e-ever allow for that." They rolled their eyes. "If WELP had a choice, though, they w-would." Morgan said. And that was that. [16]

The kid seemed sad, but satisfied by that. He rubbed the back of his neck with concern, and then nodded. 'Dad doesn't want me to go into the family business. So I guess he's gonna pay for me to further my schooling.' He said. "Well, if-if you go for sciences, we will h-hopefully hire in the future." Morgan winked. The kid gave a quick excited hop, and then took off. Morgan was SO aggravated by that whole exchange. That could have been avoided, but they wouldn't have gotten here so quickly, if not. "Well..." Morgan said, letting out a breath with the word. The garden looked absolutely trashed, like a gale had gone through it. It was very possible, given the dad's line of work, that it had been done purposefully by an angry ex-client. Either way, Morgan went to get to work. As promised, the tools were laid out to be used. The Aolani was lighted onto a bar and then tied to it carefully so that Morgan could work.

Morgan wasn't really good at people and didn't really like them. However, they had managed that well enough, even if they did have to say so theirself. If the Aolani was frustrated about being left tied to a nearby pole near where Morgan was working, she didn't seem to be too messed up about it. Morgan patted her on the back and then got to work. They first picked up all the trash that was around, using one of those sharp pole things for picking it up so that they didn't have to touch it. The entire place was absolutely trashed, so that by itself took some doing. After getting the trash that Morgan could see picked up, they began sitting the poles that had been knocked over back into the ground, which was easy enough, and then they straightened the trellis back up that was leaned against the parasol shop.

The human had no idea why it came to their mind while they were doing the mindless menial mess that was probably not going to be worth it later (they didn't use parasols, that was for sure!), but Morgan really was going to have to find a name for the Aolani soon. What would she respond best to? No, she wasn't all that smart, so it was probably going to be a slow going process. So what did she look like to Morgan? That was a good place to start. They mused for a while as they fixed up the trellises and removed all of the dead or drawed-up vegetation. They moved those things to the compost pile. It wasn't all a toss, some of the plants would survive and it was enough to patch up any holes soon enough. It was lucky this happened so early on in the season, at least.

The work was only semi-laborious. Morgan didn't find theirself interested in doing any extra exploring, either, save for what they had to do to get the place cleaned back up. They put the park bench that was in the front yard back upright, and dragged a branch that had been knocked out of the tree out to the front yard where waste removal would pick it up at some point. They then looked over their work, and decided that it was as good as gold. Much better, now, and it hadn't taken them all day either. Thankfully, the kid was no where in sight, so the human went into the parasol shop instead to ask the father if the work was okay or if he needed anything else. After that, Morgan was able to collect the Aolani and head on home. Hopefully that would do. Morgan would hate for another storm to come by and force Morgan to do it again.
