"Varus?", the man called out, straining himself to hear for any response. Not that the gargoyle seemed to vocalize in any manner to matter. Worried, the leopard picked up the pace best he could, though he found it rather difficult to place his steps securely on the slippery floor beneath the water's surface. Using the walls to brace himself was no good either - they too were coated with slime. The man did his best to dig in with his claws, determined to rendezvous with his ward. He feared the worst, hearing that sound. That Varus faced some trouble up ahead and fell into the shimmering liquid. The walls narrowed uncomfortably, leaving him with both shoulders nearly touching either side. But the darkness seemed to grow thick just up ahead, indicating some opening. That's where the gargoyle had to be, right? He hoped.
"Varus! Xentus is coming!", the voice echoed in the cavern. thick with worry.

The gargoyle couldn't swim. It couldn't make out which way was up or down. It couldn't hear the warden's cries, nor could it cry out itself. Despite its stone façade, it did need to occasionally draw breath. It lived like any other creature of flesh and blood, contrary to its looks. The water seemed to swirl violently in its vision even though it was but a sluggish stream. The light of the fungus burned bright. Varus clawed at the water and struggled to flutter its wings. Being only knee-high left it completely submerged.
The light grew brighter, beginning to encompass its vision.
Then suddenly, it was thrust into a dazzling array of light swirling into dark.
"Varus! Varus, come to, Xentus is here", the man shakily told the familiar, now in his grasp. He wasn't sure what had happened to it, but it managed to see a wing poking up above the water, lazily wavering about. The gargoyle failed to immediately respond.

This silvery Wyrm looks to be afraid of the unusually shaped crystal in front of it. Its body is arched high and it eyes the stone with suspicion. Is there something special about it? To Tame the Wyrm: Make at least 2-5 RP posts interacting with the creature and trying to tame it. At the end of your taming attempt, make your last post with [done] and wait for staff approval.
