At last... they were going to be happy and occupied for a few minutes, and Sevyrn would have some time to relax and get a snack in herself. Before getting too comfortable she pulled some more stuff out of her backpack - Cy's favourite little pillow, a couple toys that both of the pair had enjoyed. It was all soft stuff that she was able to toss on the ground for the orbarus to play with as they so desired, and hopefully they would. After all, Sevyrn herself was not meant to be the core focus right now and most of the time it had seemed like they were more interested in her than each other.
One banana down, and Sevyrn was left with time to spare. The pair were still eating.. kind of? They were mostly just talking to and investigating each other, with the occasional pause to take a bite. Inspiration struck Sevyrn as she watched Tanner pick up a little chunk of baby carrot and try to hand-feed it to Cyprus. It was probably one of the cutest little moments that she had ever seen, and she found herself incredibly grateful that her sketchbook came with her everywhere that she went.

The world was a more peaceful place with her sketchbook in her hands, and Sevyrn was able to get lost in paper and pencil at the mere thought of getting a quick sketch in of what she had just seen. The moment might have passed already, but it would be memorialized - starting with the vague outline of the orbaru's form, the room around them, all the way down to that strange small spot of purple that sat between two of Tanner's tail stripes. The toy that they had been fighting over sat the foreground, and though all she could do was pencil shade without access to the colors that she had left at home, it wasn't long before she felt happy with what she had created for the pair. It would memorialize an achievement for her, as well. Taking her first adventure in to the breeding center was a big deal - all of the big shots had to start with that first nervous breeding where they wondered whether or not they even had it in them to do it right, whether or not they were picking the right orbaru, doing the best things possible to benefit the parents and as such the offspring that they produced.

Sevyrn had just finished the last pencil marks and was working on blending the shading with a now-dirty fingertip when she finally looked up. How long had she ended up accidentally ignoring the world around her? Was there any chance that she had missed that little signal that they were ready to go home and await the new young? She highly doubted that, but now the worry was put in to her head. Cyprus and Tanner seemed to be pretty content, though. From what she could see it seemed like they were playing a game of tag with each other, one chasing the other around the room until they could catch the other with a nose boop and then the tables turned and the other began to give chase.
Cy seemed to be doing a much better job at it than her male counterpart, though. Tanner would have to chase her for ages to stand a shot at catching her, yet even when she gave him a head start Cyprus managed to catch him quickly. Sitting here with the pair for so long had made her realize more about her little critters - in every day life, she would never have realized the speed that the albino had in her.

Next time she was definitely going to need to recruit a buddy, though. As thrilling as it was to be here, Sevyrn was dying for human conversation and something to keep her busy while the orbs went about their business. That was a thing, right? She swore it was. There was no way that no one tag-teamed with another orbaru owner to see what they could possibly bring in to this world, everyone had their own variety of pets after all. She was sure that some of the top breeders had to be collaborating with each other to try to bring out the best of what their and each others' orbarus had to offer to this world.
The great thing about orbarus being such good pets was that it was easy to find homes for them. They worked well with other orbarus, other creatures, kids, adults - they were the perfect all around people pet. Sevyrn liked to think that she did a pretty good job with hers, too, and she was in the midst of planning an upgrade to her house (or maybe a seperate structure in her yard) just so that she could keep the little guys closer to home just because of how much she liked to have them around and how easy they were to handle.

Who knew - maybe Cyprus and Tanner would end up being the first to make the move from kennel to home, because out of all the orbs they were the ones who brought the first batch of babies in to her life. Their kids would come along as well, of course. Sevyrn had high hopes for the litter, and there was a logic to her choice in mates. She would be happy with just about any babies that came out of this, but she loved the idea of one of the babies coming out with Tanner's colors, yet muted. She was hoping that Cyprus's white fur would mean for lighter furred babies, though part of her figured that she was more likely to get a pastel color than the muted tones she was looking for. It would take experience to figure out what combination of parents would give her the best bet at the babies that she was looking for, though.
Maybe a grey would result in something closer to what she wanted... but she didn't have any black orbarus to pair Cyprus with to get that grey, as it wasn't a typical orbaru color. Maybe one day if this didn't work out like she hoped, she might be able to do something like that.

... wait.
Those two better not have already mated when she wasn't looking. Sevyrn had forgotten about something entirely - she had an orbaru berry in her bag. A friend had known that she was looking in to trying breeding for the first time, and had given her a berry that was supposed to increase fertility and result in more babies than usual. That was definitely something that she wanted to get out right now. She went in to a bit of a flurry as she reached for it, and as soon as it was in her hand she called for Cyprus.
"Hey, girl - I got something for you!" The berries got fed to the females, right? It made sense, at the end of the day it was her body that was going to decide how many babies were made. Worst case... well, thing should still work like normal, right? Maybe she should have done a little bit more research before she walked in here - how many times before in her life had she found herself wishing that she'd paid more attention ahead of time, and yet she continued to inconvenience herself instead of just doing a little bit more pre-planning every time?

Well, Cyprus at least seemed to enjoy the berry - that was a good thing. The fact that she got a treat and the boy didn't seemed to spark a bit of jealousy, however. For the umpteenth time today, Sevyrn was met with a series of indignant boops from the venom-colored boy. How was she supposed to not laugh when he looked so adorable when he was worked up? It cracked her up knowing that little guy was dead seriously bothered and yet he looked like he was just full of air.
"It's okay, boy," Sevyrn said, still knelt down. It was Tanner's turn to get a nice head rub, and yeah... She should go back through her bag and see if she had any more treats to make things a little more fair. Even fully grown Orbaru were like little more than children - though in Sevyrn's experience that was what most pets were like. Her fully grown decade old equillion could act the same way some times when they wanted to be.
"Hey, look. It's okay," Sevyrn spoke as she pulled a bag with a couple apple slices out. They were big enough that one would be enough, and with a treat in his hands, Tanner would hopefully miss that she was going to have to give Cyprus one of those as well...

"This is for you. I'm sorry that I gave her something and not you, I just forgot about something and I didn't want to forget about it again. Have some apple." Ah yes - that was just what she needed to get the boy off of her back. As soon as he laid on that individual apple slice, all of his frustration seemed to fade away and Tanner was all smiles. "Boo boo boop!" Okay, he wasn't so mad now - Sevyrn could chuckle without feeling guilty. As an added bonus, it seemed that Cyprus was still busy with the berry and wouldn't need a slice of her own.
More for me, Sevyrn thought and flashed a toothy smile to an empty room as she grabbed some of the fruit to snack on herself. There was little in this world that tasted better than fresh fruits and vegetables. Once again it was just the three of them relaxing and eating their own snacks... though it didn't take long for Tanner to be tugging at her pant leg with wide begging eyes, requesting more of the very yummy snack.
"Dude. You're going to give yourself an upset stomach if you keep asking for more, I'm not doing it right now."

Tanner did not want to relent, and Sevyrn shook her head. "I don't negotiate with little terrorists, I'm going to have to pick you up," she said rather seriously to the seriously snackish little guy. "There's no way you're actually still hungry, you're just a glutton." Despite the threat and being called out on what he was doing Tanner didn't want to give up on a potential second apple slice, so Sevyrn had to do as she said she would, she reached down and picked him up. As soon as he was in the air there was a smile on her face, and she raised him just slightly over head level like one might do when playing with a baby.
"Hello," she said in a sing-songy voice. "You're going to the other side of the room to hang out with your lady. She's ready whenever you are now, Tan. It's time for you to be a daddy." Seyvrn held him close to her body as she walked over to where Cyprus had gone, her attention now focused on one of the many toys that Sevyrn had brought to keep the pair interested in hanging out with each other. He didn't even get his feet on the ground before Cy was trying to talk to him.

Well now that she hadn't completely forgotten about the baby berry, Sevyrn was ready for this to be done any time now. She really wished that she would have been able to just get this done and over with at home. Part of her had to wonder why the breeding center was the mandatory location for a creature that couple breed naturally... and then on the flip side of the count she understood it. With regulations in place, there was a way to vet both the breeders and the orbaru involved to keep shady practices out of it. She imagined that there were people who ignored the rules and did at-home breedings, but those litters would be innately less trustworthy than the offspring of orbaru bred correctly. There were guidelines to prevent overbreeding of individual orbarus which helped prevent overpopulation as a whole, would with creatures like this could become a rampant problem relatively easily. As much as it was a complication to a normal process, it was also meant to vet out those were not taking proper care of their orbaru and were not willing to put the effort in to raising healthy, happy parents and healthy, happy offspring.

What would she do next, provided that this breeding worked out well enough that her flighty nature wasn't scared off from ever trying again? As much as Sevyrn felt that she was doing a good job with her orbaru - and all of her other creatures as well - she was almost always afraid that she wasn't doing as good as she possibly could be. Really, she was just lost in thought at the moment, waiting for the sign that they were ready to go home. She could think of plenty of pairings she would be interested in just with the orbaru that she owned, but she only had one albino orbaru and it wasn't like she could pimp Cyprus out to every male that she owned. Mixing albino with a purple would probably make some sweet lilac babies, though... perhaps she would have to head back to the store once she had enough credits again. She had heard that Nature's Bounty was able to help with any kind of adult original orbaru, after all. They also had some beautiful ones that caught her eye - black fur marked with rainbow colored stripes. Those would surely make for absolutely stunning babies, as well.

For the first time in a long time, the pair of orbarus was simply happy with each other. No one was bugging her for food or wanting attention or trying to climb right up her leg - it was a welcome relief. Sitting there and watching the pair bond with each other was exciting - they just seemed to get more and more comfortable, and hopefully that meant that they were getting close to being ready to breed. For now they were happy lazing around, casually grooming each other. It was another of those sweet moments like earlier when she had caught Tanner trying to hand-feed his lady, and with nothing else to keep her busy Sevyrn was more than happy to pull her sketchbook back out and get to work on a second drawing. (At the same time she realized that the shading was only half finished on the first one... she could come back to it later on.)
What a good day this was turning in to - she had a pair of happy orbarus, plenty of time to work on her art, and hopefully would be walking away expecting a couple new additions to her home. Everything was turning out better than she had expected it to. What more could a girl ask for?

Tanner and Cyprus were incredibly content with each other at this point, which left Sevyrn with a lot of time to focus on her art. Losing herself in drawings and painting and whatever happened to be in front of her came naturally to her, as naturally as breathing, and as soon as she was focused on something it was hard to break her out of it. After making her way through the second drawing - the two orbaru cuddled up and grooming each other - Sevyrn was able to turn the page back to the one that she was working on earlier, and surprisingly she had enough time to finish up that one as well. There would be more work to be done, but she preferred to do her final touches at home no matter how much time she might have in the moment... something about the light, or maybe it was just her being fickle about the way she did things.
"How's it going, you two?" She asked as she closed the sketchbook and put it back down on the table. When she looked up she caught sight of the pair - and they were still so focused on each other. It was adorable and intimate, Cyprus cuddled up to Tanner's chest with her head resting under his little arm.

"I'll leave you be," Sevyrn said in a soft, sweet tone. The pair were so lost in their own little world that they didn't even notice the girl trying to talk to them - how was she supposed to find that anything other than cute? Even if Sevyrn didn't end up bringing these guys back to the breeding center (she had a feeling that she would, though) they would always have a mate and buddy in each other. What was she supposed to do now if they weren't looking for her attention, though? She had finished two pieces already in their time here, and she hadn't brought along any books or other things to do. At least with how close they seemed to be getting with each other, it was inevitable that they would be breeding soon... right?
Eh. Pick the sketchbook back up. As she'd already figured there was little else to do, and she didn't want to bug Cyprus and Tanner now that they were getting so close. The last thing she would want to do was set the progress back, after all. The cuties needed to spend a little while in their own little world, and surely before long it would be time to go anyways.

With no real focus, Sevyrn just started with some random doodles of various creatures - some scribbles of her ghaenelt pair, some of the equillion herd, she even tried to draw her gym wyrm for the first time ever. That was... interesting, to say the least. It wasn't that it turned out bad - she could tell what it was that she was trying to draw, especially with the horde of shinies that the wyrm rested upon and the dark caves of the mine set as the background - but it was very obviously her first time working on that specific subject. That was okay, though. Nobody got good at something the first time that they did it, and having spent the last decade of her life devoted to art she knew just how much of a learning process it could be at times. Part of being an experienced artist was being able to see where your own work could improve the next time you tried.
She was deep in the middle of fixing up several problem points on the gem wyrm drawing when it happened - and it was unmistakable, even without having to look up. A glow illuminated the room, flashing bright longer than she had thought it would.
