"Huh. Amending you say. Like adding other soils and such." nod. "I see. I guess I'll have to start over when planting season starts over." "Theres some dormant seeds here though." A few tiny seeds had caught on the roughness of Flare's palm, as he pressed them back into the soil. Then held his hand carefully over the planter box, the other on the box itself. Slowly drawing his hand upwards while forming a fist. To Mr Fox's great surprise, little sprouts started to grow out of the long dead soil. Leafing a bit, and a few even had buds. The release of a great exhale. "That should give a bit of a head start, but they need to be watered." the fiery haired tailed human mentioned as he turned around to leave, dusting the dirt on his pants like it had no other reason then to be there. "Good day Mr Fox." -Flare casts Blossom- 16 x.20

Huh. Mr fox sat back in his armchair as the stranger left his office, resting his muzzle on intertwined fingers. He had seen nothing but then plants were growing out of the planter box without any warning. "Beaver, come in here please." he presses a button on his old timey telephone while spinning the dial to reach the front desk of the office. The beaver lopes into the office not long afterwards. And STILL sporting that rediculous 'log puller' he'd inherited from his pappy. "Can I help ya mishter fox?" he asks with interest. "Did any of our past issues mention about a man with a wooden leg and the ability to pull flowers out of the dirt?" he asks the mammalian. When Beaver taps his foot, so does his tail. "Lemme sheee. I think there wash a register for an earth node not long ago, shonny. Oopsh, shorry Mishter Fox." the beaver corrects himself; Mr fox isn't that much older then he is. 17 x.20

"I think we found our earth node's registrar." the fox smiles a bit to himself. Although dabbling in magic is out of his interest range, it always drew his curiosity of just where and how some of these city humans procured magic. What a node was seemed to be a blood rock, at least thats what some shopkeeper mentioned when he'd interviewed them at one point. "He called himself Flare. A human man with the scales and the tail of a lizard. I wonder. He must have some relation to that ssashirk who I called on last year. The scale patterning's the same." "You're talkin' to yershelf, mishter fox." Beaver exclaimed. "Shall I go back to my deshk?" "Please. Thank you Beaver." Perhaps he'd drop by and find Warden again. Warden, the talky little devil, seemed to have a vested interest in that ssashirk. Wonder why. ACHOO Flare braced himself against the door as a violent sneeze overtook him. 18 x.20

Night started to fall around the later hours, and a small group had accumulated to help setup equipment for the Astronomy Association's members to study the comet in safe and secure fashion. There even was someone milling around and being followed by a giant snake. Flare thanked himself for not bringing anything along with him; and came up to the group to offer his star map. "Oooh, this is a wonderful map, mister. Did you make it yourself?" "No, the stars above my home look much different. I don't know specifically whether its local or not, but some of the patterns seem to match." "Thats because it is a local starchart. I did hear the mansion was doing something starry back in winter time. Get it then?" He nods. "Good good. We can mark off the constellations around the direction in which the comet is streaming. This is very handy, thank you." "I also warned the family of foxes who live in that tree there that you were coming." Flare mentioned. 19 x.20

The scientist who milled over Flare's starmap nodded absently. "Yes, we called upon the family earlier this week but forgot to specifically tell them when today. So thank yo ufor that too. You must be tired, so take a rest, and enjoy the comet viewing." For Flare it might not even be that interesting, because his nightvision made the whole world look like daytime to him. A few familiar sets of ears caught his attention in the milling crowd that started to come after dark, away from the study area. Four prominant set of black capped red ears, and a black capped set of silver ears. So they had come. He had listened. His cousin hadn't been able to shut up about comet facts all day since his mother had told him about the coming event. Armed with his own telescope, the littler red fox found himself a seat away from the swinging lights and such, eagerly awaiting his view of a comet. Space rocks were so cool! And his cousin had helped him adjust the telescope properly too! 20
