Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

This wasn't a win that Ridelys thought she would enjoy. Sure, the crowd, after seeing the giraffe knockoff baakir lose twice to other hooved animals, turned it around against the ghaenelt, cheered for the creature and shouted Lisan's name as she was led off the ring to be treated for having some thorn impalement. But it was like watching a stranger maul her mining best friend. C.G. was her faithful companion for mining; and had the longest thorns on his back broken off for protecting her in a cavein. This was a different ghaenelt, she told herself. Different, not hers. Besides, far as she knew, one couldn't pin two of your own creatures against each other. Lisan didn't lean her neck down far to lick at the thorn points, even if they were healed. It itched a bit, so whatever the ghaenelts may have on spines may just leave an itchy sensation later. The gates opened again as the baakir walked out to lights, sound and a lot of noise in general. -ready-

> Xentus, accompanied by Mira
Having another win under his belt somehow felt odd. The mosca performed well, besting her opponent with speed, as she did. Yet he somehow felt he ought to make it up to Miss Ferella at some time. It was easier fighting against strangers. Knowing them only as an opponent, then to move on to something different. The man shook his head and refocused. He had such trouble with how he felt about the pit, this tournament. But he was in the thick of it, and he hardly wanted to back down at this point. Even if the lull of the option loomed ever present in his mind.
The next fight was up. Surprisingly, their opponent was already waiting in the sands. That was a first. He tried to be punctual about this, getting it over as quickly as possible. But at the same time, it was almost nice getting to scope out who they were up against. A lanky legged bakiir, it seemed. Another unassuming creature. "Be good, Mira", the mammalian said as they parted. Xentus took to the stands and let Mira be led into the arena by the attending crew.

As soon as the contestants were situated, the fight began. The leopard spent the fleeting moments before the starting signal thinking of the plan. Mira had always been able to overwhelm their previous opponents by speed, but the bakiir seemed like it could be agile enough to almost keep pace with the mosca. And he did want to try something a bit different this time. Whether or not it would work was a different question.
"Mira, lure, then wing!", the leopard directed, calling out from the stands. The mosca's ears were flicked backward, intently listening. At the words, she loosened her stance, trying best to mask skittishness under a helpless, playful kitten facade. Her four wings dropped limply, her head low and tilted, eyes wide and curious, and her legs carefully stalking closer to the bakiir. Waiting for a drop in her opponent's guard. Then, to strike with all four wings. With hope, the deception would work and her mighty wings would be met with success.

Something about the colors of the next opponent made both Ridelys above and Lisan below nervous, but for different reasons. It was a cat. A cat with four wings. A BIG cat. Ridelys wasn't the biggest fan of cats anymore, nor dogs. (says the ave who has two young estharne that could give that cat a run for its money) Lisan because something in the back of her head wasn't connecting the pattern to what she was seeing. Looked like cat, smelled like a cat, made... very strange movements like a cat, MUST BE A CAT THEN. It was very... small acting. Droopy ears, droopy wings, like someone had made it into a floppy doll, from Ridelys' aerialish point of view. It was... oddly cute. Lisan, a proud baakir who didn't care to get pushed around, pawed the ground a time or two, snorting at the little BIG cat. It looked very tense although it was playful looking and cute. "Think fast Lisan!" came teh call from above the words. That cat was too close for comfort, and she tried to get out of the way. Beware the big animal. -dash-

Calculations
Mira uses Deceptive Lure + Wing Buff! Mira's Dexterity of 9 + 6 rolled by staff = 15 vs. the 6 Dexterity of Lisan Milkiun Mira will deal the most damage possible! Mira's Dexterity of 9 = 9 damage Deceptive Lure makes Wing Buff do 150% damage 9 + 4 = 13 damage 13 - 2 Resistance of Lisan Milkiun = 11 Lisan Milkiun's Stamina is now -4
Though the Baakir attempted to dash out of the way, no such luck happened and the Baakir falls easily to the gusting wind of the Mosca. The Pit crew come to patch them up.
Results Mira gains 2 levels and Xentus gains 5 pit prize points Lisan Milkiun gains 1 level and Ridelys gains 3 pit prize points
