  Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally. |

Mira was performing impressively. She earned another quick victory, downing the opposing ghaenelt with a single flurry of wings. There were only two more fights to get through, then this would all be over. Even with Mira being undefeated as of yet, the leopard still feared the haunting thought that he would see her to be the one laying battered and bloodied on the sands.. Until the tournament was over, it would loom in his mind. Admittedly, the fear had shrunken over the course of the time. Perhaps.. He could bear participate in these pit fights more in the future. Xentus's gentle blue eyes looked upon the mosca, wishing her well before leaving her to the sands. And he found himself up in the stands once again, mulling on how this might turn out. The leopard had high hopes. His training was good and Mira stayed strong. Whatever he was trying to prove to himself, he felt he had succeeded in doing so. He was ready.

The last round had been.. odd. If it had simply been a no show, that wouldn't have been too unusual, but someone, and their pet, had shown up. The creature, an equillion, had even entered the Pit, but things had been called off before any fighting could actually start. Nerius wasn't sure if his competitor had shown up just slightly too late, or if there'd been some sort of mishap, and the wrong challenger had arrived at the match. Either way, it was a good thing the fighters had been a murp and an equillion, and not a pair of drakes, or there would have been no easy way of stopping the fighting.
That sort of thing wouldn't be happening today though, as their opponents had already arrived, and Nerius was able to view the other fighter as Shale entered the sands. He wasn't thrilled with what he saw, it was nothing personal, but rather the species of pet; a mosca.

Before long, their opponent arrived. Looks like they were facing a murp. Another unassuming creature, he thought. Something that belonged on a farm, not a fighting ring. Still, it was a powerful animal that could easily maim with its horn or hooves.. They had to proceed with caution.
"Mira, fly!", the leopard called out to the mosca. Their best advantage would be in the air - the murp was bound to the ground. Mira was faster than the murp, and much more lithe when in flight. Utilizing this was their only choice. As long as she didn't stray too close to it, she would hopefully be safe from the murp's bulk. The winged feline unfurled her wings, and with a few quick flaps, lifted herself from the sands. A distinct change of direction in comparison to the last few battles, but she trusted that the leopard would guide her through this, just as he did before.

The winged cats were one of the fastest and most agile creatures created by the Labs, and it would certainly be able to run circles around the murp. Shale hit hard, but he wasn't exactly spry. "Horn strike," Nerius commanded the murp, it wasn't the usual instruction he gave Shale, but he hoped maybe the murp would be able to strike faster if he could just run at and strike the mosca, rather than having to slow down to buck. It was a long shot, but the murp's chances weren't looking good either way.
Shale moved into action when the command was given, but the mosca was already ahead of him, and Nerius wasn't surprised to see the feline take flight, leaving the range of the murp. He sighed, it was pretty much over at this point, the chances of the murp actually being able to hit the mosca before being taken out himself were incredibly slim.

The murp's horn came dangerously close to connecting with Mira's hide. It was way too close for comfort; the leopard holding his breath at the sight of the attack. Thankfully, Mira's quick wings lifted her away from harm's way. Even if just barely. For such a bulky creature, the murp was still fairly fast to action. The leopard had to keep diligent if they were to win this one.
"Wing, Mira!", the leopard called out, rallying the mosca to action. With the power of flight beneath her wings, the flurry of wind and feathers generated from her grew stronger. Mira unleashed this toward the murp, hoping to establish a buffer between herself and the bull. To stop it in its tracks. Or at the very least, slow it down. It looked durable, able to take a hit from some wind. Mira, on the other hand, most certainly couldn't afford to take a hit from the bull.

Though Nerius' plan didn't succeed, Shale came much closer to hitting the mosca than he'd had expected the murp to. The circular horn only just missed the feline, and Shale seemed more annoyed by the whole thing than anything else. He really didn't like the mosca, he'd always been willing to fight, but hadn't been so irritable against their other opponents. Nerius suspected the cat-like creature dug up some sort of predator related instincts, even if a mosca's preferred prey was probably smaller than a murp.
Shale made an angry snort as he circled below the mosca, eyes locked on the flying creature. "Buck," Nerius gave a different command this time, the mosca was above the murp, and he hoped that would give Shale a little more vertical reach. It wouldn't matter if the mosca never got close at all, but Shale did his best, lashing out with his hooves whenever the mosca drew even somewhat close to him.

This was the first opponent to remain standing after getting buffeted by the razor-like winds which Mira generated with her wings. Xentus expected as much, but was still surprised. No matter, they'd just need to do it again. There wasn't anything else Mira knew how to do, really.. The mosca easily evaded the murp's kicking hooves, keeping her distance from the bull quite easily in the air. She cast a quick glance over at Xentus in the stands, unsure of what to do at this point. Normally the fight would be over..
"Again, Mira. Wing!", the leopard directed, noting Mira's concern. Just keep it up a little longer. The bull couldn't possibly withstand another blast from the mosca's wings, right? As long as she struck true, they'd be fine. Xentus took a deep breath, watching as Mira lined herself up for another attack. Her wings beat hard, and harder still, generating another lashing of air in an attempt to bring down her opponent.

Shale tried his best, but the mosca never came anywhere close, instead attacking with its wings. The four feathery limbs whipped up a powerful gale, it was like watching the murp be hit by an invisible thundergug. It was enough to hurl the unfortunate murp into the pit wall, though it didn't take him out. Shale was still on his feet, though staggering badly, and Nerius couldn't tell how badly he was hurt.
All that woolly fur made it hard to see anything, and blunt force attacks like that didn't leave a lot of blood. There was a little on his face, but that was probably from scraping against the wall. "Buck," Nerius instructed the murp, he wasn't moving fast enough to get a decent ramming speed, but his hooves could still do some damage if they connected. The murp tried, kicking out with his hooves, but at this point Nerius wasn't really expecting anything to connect.

The Murp withstood one attack, but didn't manage the next, the Mosca was much too quick! The Pit crew rush out to tend to the Murp with an odd look at the Mammalian.
