A little bit more training and Ashe thought he might finally be ready for the ultimate test. Ashe was sure the drake would give him a run for his money, but if Reoz could beat this final boss, as Ashe thought of it in his mind, then surely he would grow even bigger! So here he was, leading Reoz. The Coepse Construct shuffled after Ashe, not seeming too excited about where they were going... until he entered the building. He knew this place. Mostly by smell connecting with the memory of food! This was where he ate such delicious meals. He started to pick up the pace, which still wasn't that fast, and Ashe could walk normally again.
Ashe herded him into the pit and shut the door behind him. Then he made his way up into the stands. He knew the pit staff had to hate him by now, but hey- there were monsters made in this city and you had to feed them somehow!!

The trod always did what Ashe told it to do, and never really questioned if it had a choice. But if it was going to question anything, now would be the time. It was leading a full grown drake sarane, angry as piss, into the arena. The drake tried to fight off the machine, and the trod had a few dings in its metal coat to show for it, but it never gave up. Eventually, with some help, the Trod was able to get the drake into the chute and out the pit door into the arena. It burst forth in a spray of sand and rage and its eyes locked onto the corpse, recognizing a threat when it saw one. He looked behind himself, as if realizing for the first time that the trod wasn't with him anymore. The door was shut and was just a wall now. He turned back to the corpse construct and let out a Roar, prowling closer.

The corpse construct wheeled around when he heard the sound of those doors shutting. He knew that sound well, and he was eager to see what the two legged fleshing had brought him this time. What he saw was shocking even to him - though on a much lesser of a scale than a human would experience. But the fact that the beast was shocked at all was saying something. This thing was much like the drake he had learned to be scary from, the one that had helped him bully the white one. And he was here... to fight? To be eaten? Reoz only knew two of the things.
Eagerly, he turned the rest of his body to face the newcomer and he made some excited grumble growls, his rotting tails swishing back and forth as he considered his prey. Then came the sound he was waiting for-
" Reoz, crunch!" and the corpse construct eagerly launched forward, for all intents and purposes looking like death swooping in.

The drake felt something he had never felt before. It was a strange emotion, one that chilled his insides even while his outsides were comfortable. It made a shake go up his spine to the point where he felt his tail tremble. It was strange and foreign and to be honest he wanted to get out of here. He started looking around, seriously this time, for a way out of this mess. The corpse construct was coming for him now, he could see it lumbering toward him. It wasnt that fast, the drake should be able to outrun him! But his feet felt like blocks of ground and he couldn't make them move right. It was coming down to crunch time, with the monster coming down onto him, he had to do something! And so the untrained, untamed, inexperienced drake did whatever instinct wanted him to do. The monster looked like it was an inanimate object... but surely it could feel pain too?

Reoz will deal the most damage possible!
Reoz's Strength of 3 + 6 damage of Crunch = 9 damage
9 - 5 Resistance of Drake = 4
Drake's Stamina is now 4
Drake uses Bite!
Reoz's Danger Sense activates, Drake misses his attack!

Reoz sank his teeth into the drakes shoulder. He felt his fangs go in, he tasted the blood, and yet the drake didn't go down and succumb to the attack like the others had. Instead, he ripped free and actually tried to attack him! From repetition created instinct, Reoz was able to twist his body out of the way just in time. It probably helped that the sarane was wounded and not in peak condition, otherwise that neck might have been able to move faster than the corpse's body. Reoz skidded to a halt a safe distance away, just out of range of attack, and whirled to face this opponent again. He tasted good, which only fueld the fire in the corpse construct, his desire to feed. Did Ashe see this? Prey that didn't go down?
"Reoz, crunch once more- bring it down!" Ashe called from the stands. So far so good, Reoz was still dominating. Just a bit harder of a job this time.

The drake felt pin. He lashed out wildly, trying to sink his fangs into the offending monster in retaliation but to no avail. He broke free and stumbled a few steps away, testing out his limbs and making sure he could still move. So far, so good. He let out a Roar of anger and pain. He shifted his weight, faltered as his shoulder flared out, then shifted again until he found a suitable compromise. He faced the horrible monster and snarled deep in his throat, his chest. He didnt know how he was going to get out of this one but it wasnt in his blood to just give up and roll over. To lose? To just allow it to happen? No self respecting drake sarane would do such a thing. He regathered himself and approached the fear, approached the danger. He had no choice. This is the way. And with that he made his final stand.

The corpse construct tried again, giving a mighty bite with those jaws, crunching down on flesh and bone. Blood spurted, he could taste it in his mouth. It gave him energy, motivation, to drag the unconscious drake across the sand. Food. Prey. His to eat. The drake was large, the biggest thing he had ever eaten, but he was a growing boy and he thought he could do it. If not, he could chew the drake to pieces and eat bit by bit. He eyed the body before him with scrutiny. How to best eat?
"Devour!" Ashe called out from the stands, in case the corpse construct needed a reminder that he, Ashe, was the one giving the orders. Not Reoz making his own decisions! After making the call, Ashe hurried down to the pit itself. He was warned it was dangerous to go in there while the zombie beast was eating, but Ashe shrugged off concerns and went to join his pet.... who had already made short work of the drake.
