Her instincts scream predator. run away. But the mammalian lagging behind, lost in his head is a predator too. She's much bigger and stronger then some random glowing baby bear. And this is her space first. Kouveli makes a stupid decision frankly as she hops forward, making sure her thumps are very loud. The mote of light, treated as a ball to the baby, jumps with each step she takes. It takes a moment for the bear to understand why the ground is jumping as its small head with glowing eyes looks over to see a giant of a rabbit with a crown of spikes jutting from their forehead thumping towards them. Forget the rabbit part, this is a GIANT RABBIT. It growls at it. MAAAAH! The bear cries out in panicked fear, scrambling for the tallest object it can reach, namely an armchair. Those sharp little quintet claws dig into the fabric and wood as it scrambles for higher ground.

The loud cry of the bear cub jerks Skylos out of his own head as he sees Kouveli looming over the armchair, shifting into sitting on her hind legs some, taking up more height then usual. Something is glowing and whining in the chair. He moves into the room, trying to ignore the pull on his senses to revel in the heat and warmth and cheeriness. She's got a ...glowing baby bear huddled in a corner of the armchair, whining. Well of course its afraid, giant freaking rabbit deer jackalope thing looming in your face. If he was in the creature's spot, he'd be scared too. Giving her a pat on the shoulder, the mammalian steps forward, and looms over the bear instead.
She had it just fine, thank you, Kouveli shows him her tail briefly, glaring down the baby bear. Those little glowing eyes aren't holding any sort of warmth, just fear. Good. She barks at it. Get lost.

great, there's a giant cat here too. could the bear's day get any worse. what next, a dog? the cat smells heavily of dog too. never mind that, the cub wants out as soon as the giant rabbit starts barking at it. time to nope out of there. whining loudly, the cub scrambles for the space between them, as they'd left a space between them for escape, leaping for faith and landing wiht a splat...through the floor. the sound of scrambling claws is still heard as it vanishes from view and runs for its life. the rabbit just snorts and examines the abandoned mote of light. it feels cold to the touch of her nose.
briefly, the cat realizes just how aggressive the jackalope can be. she's downright dangerous if in the right mindset. he needs to avoid giving her a reason to gore things with that grown crown of thorns on her forehead.

/I doubt that cub will be back with its mother any time soon.../ he mutters to himself. If there's one glowing bear, might be another. Instead, the cat stretches his arms in front of his body, draws a deep breath as he moves his arms upwards to stretch, and exhales to release his hands from each other and let them slowly and naturally fall to his sides. Rolling his neck gently back and forth to loosen up the stiffness of being remotely cold.

A cold breeze blows through the warm room, extinguishing the fire. the mammalian and galabex shiver briefly. Clearly the atmosphere didn't approve of bullying a bear cub into running away... or there's a mama bear closer by then he thinks and they need to nope it out of there like yesterday. He sees an open doorway and chooses to move through it. Kouveli hesitates before hopping after him. He seems to realize if danger's afoot.

the living area opens up into an iced over mud room of sorts. He'd heard that fancy houses have a space to drop shoes and coats and such without brining more dirt into a home then needed. Skylos is frankly getting cold again and not willing to hang out in a house that clearly is going ot taunt him with warmth and take it away. A nipping voice in the back of his head mentions they were bullying a baby bear. He doesn't see the problem in it himself. they'd not touched the creature; just stood there. Kouveli did all the intimidating looking work. Carefully, he steps into the mud room, and oh my word it is cold on his pads. There's a blue set of mittens on the floor though, not iced over. Like they were left behind by someone else dropping their warm weather gear to explore inside.

What's left behind can be his, and he's not against this. The mammalian pauses to slip the mittens, clearly made for a human hand vs a cat's foot, onto his feet. The difference is immediate but they'll get wet soon enough. Warmer pads. He's not suddenly dealing with jabs of cold through his paws. Kouveli has nice thick fur on her paws, and she hops into the room with checking the surroundings first, her ears which are quite tall in themselves, tuning forking for danger. He'll trapise the room and reach the door. It is cold, but the door is unlocked and willing to let them outside.
No its not a trick. Tricks are for the month of dreams.
However the sun on the snow outside when he opens the door is briefly blinding to the mammalian and the jackalope. He blocks the door briefly, rubbing grumpily at his eyes.

Its deliberate now. She hops up behind him, and puts her nose into his ear. Pulling away when he claps a paw to his ear, looking back with a mix of annoyance and alarm. feigning innocence, the galabex looks the other way, a faint... was that purring? to be heard. Jeez, a rabbit deer with a sense of humor. Or at least a sense of what will get a rise out of the cat.
Snow blindness aside, the two leave the magic ice house and discover everything is like crystaline ice outside. It felt like he'd walked into a snowdrift last time, but this time its all ice. Like someone blew on the surroundings and made sculptures out of trees and bushes and the occasional animal. Did he walk into a time stop?
Not seeing the worry on the cat's face, and getting a tad nipped in the toes herself, Kouveli hops ahead. She leads him to the gate without much hassle, mainly because she stands out so well against the white snow.
