Might as well find out what's in the boxes. Pulling the closest one out farther so he can see inside it, the box is not cardboard, but wood. More of a crate then a box. It creaks when he opens it. Dirt. Lots of dirt. Why stow a box... crate... of dirt in the shed? He presently can't see Mum at this angle. "Op, you found the old storage shed. Good for you Katze." The crunching of footsteps on the path behind him at least gave Skylos warning that someone was coming up behind him. "Box of dirt?" he gestures at it for the Warden to see. The mammalian shuffles into his personal space, smelling distinctly like bananas, putting his paw-hand into the dirt and rubbing a bit between his fingers. Sniffing it, and tasting it. It takes a village to keep from making a disgusted sound out loud. "This is good dirt, cat man. Composted worm casings." Composted worm WHAT. TBB 3 28

"Composted worm casings, worms eat whatever you stick in here that happens to be compostable. Uh... guess others call it worm poop. This dirt is super good for fertilizing just before wintertime for those fruit trees. Stuff goes dormant in the winter, if its putting off fruit and loses its leaves." the warden jabbers as he shakes the worm poop dirt back into the crate and backs up, dusting his free hand on his uniform. "Anyways. Yes, the shed is for all to use. Just put back what you find, and let me know if something runs out or has gone bad. I can't recall if somebody stuck weed or bug killer in here at one point... Ta..." Skylos panicks inside as he looks for Mum in the shed again. Not another threat to his animals! Putting himself into the shed, the cat searches high and low for his weaver, only finding them behind something. tbb 4 29

This cat really jumps to conclusions, Mum concludes as the cat's big fluffy face, lined with panic, sees them at last and relaxes visibly. The monkey thing Warden mentioned bug killer. I got worried for you. he tells the weaver, offering his paw to the shelf. Even weaver are my friends. The glints of green-tinted multiple eyes widen so minutely he doesn't see it. Does the cat man actually care about them? Maybe Mum's been painting the not so edible-sized cat the wrong color for a long time now. Was it worth it to give him a chance? Lav would have answers for this unusual behavior of the cat man. The spider walks onto his paw, up his arm and settles on his shoulder briefly. Just briefly. Got it. Lot four forty seven does have a gate on it, opened no doubt by the Warden as he left for them. Hard to believe this was a garden plot. fall 30 tbb 5

Skylos borrowed the garden shears for now. He'll have to watch his paws in order to handle some of those thorny brambles. Even if the gate is open, he can't actually enter the garden too far. Maybe five feet in before you're assaulted by overgrown weeds and vines. This place had nothing here, or the trees the warden talked about were on other lots. Or too small to see. Mum, I'm going to need my paws, so you need to move off of me. He tells the weaver calmly. Little spiders click so quietly that without their twin, he doesn't understand a thing. But Mum crawls off his arm deliberately slow, the ringlets on his fingers impeding progress a bit. There's a flat portion of the fence to sit on, so thats where he lets the weaver get off. The looplets of rope are left on a spear of wood. That way Mum doesn't get lost. fall 31 tbb 6

Ok, the cat is very paranoid bout his creatures safety, Mum notes. They are quite safe here, even with odd creatures occasionally prowling about. But here they were, tied to a fence, while the cat is figuring out how to one. prune the vines back so they can get into the garden lot proper. Two, figure out how to actually use these garden shears. He's seen humans use them. Hold with both hands, operate like giant metal scissors. Clip clip. But these vines are distinctly woody looking. Thorny and thick. Was there a hatchet back in that shed? Be right back Mum. I don't think these are going to do the trick. Skylos tells the spider, leaning the shears against the post of the gate before venturing out and back to the shed. Shovel, can, crates... he opened a crate... Its rusty as hell, but this is a little old hatchet. Should do the trick. tbb 7 32

Even if weaver don't have fingers, Mum still crosses their front legs, clicking their mandibles together with a stab of irritation. When they are big again, and they will be, this cat will be tied to a rope post for a time too, so they figure out how stupid this is. No matter how paranoid he is. Well, thats his choice to do, the cat has done, as he returns back to the garden entrance with the rusty little hatchet. AS long as its sharp enough to cut up vines, that was enough. But rusty items aren't good for the skin if they cut you as a result. Or the splintery handle. Hm... He looks between the hatchet and the cotton candy stick of cobwebs... And removes a portion, wrapping the handle. The webs aren't as thick as he figured for that, and its a bit slick in his paws, but... tbb 8 33

Just stay there and watch Mum. He tells the weaver, who clearly can't go far, much to their annoyance. A swing of the hatchet, and it imbeds deep into the vine. Deep enough to have to yank on it a few times in order to remove the hatchet. The cat swings the baby axe again, and breaks into another vine. Again and again, until he removes it, and sets it down with the blade facing AWAY from where he was walking. Ouch, his pads feel raw. But the work isn't quite done. The vines are cut into, so he should be able to cut them with the shears now. Picking them up, he winces again, but the pads aren't used to hard work in the field. Did the general store stock gloves that work on cat paws? Probably not. But now that the woody vine is damaged, the shears snip right through with a bit of elbow grease. tbb 9 34

One or two of the vines are weeping a clear liquid, like water, once the severance is completed. It is thick and ropey, and likely won't break down that easily. He tries to flex the end of the vine, and it doesn't give easily. Hm... perhaps its woody enough that the vines could be cut up and dried out for firewood? He could potentially sell the firewood to the needy down by the docks, who have problems staying warm during the winters. This is something he's known since kittenhood. SO instead of ripping the vines down, it settled into a strange rhythm. Chop vine, snip vine, set aside. Nothing longer then his paw to his elbow joint. Occasionally needing to stand up on his toes to reach. The piles of woody vine 'logs' were set into piles of ten, organized into triangles. For Mum, this got boring fast. Who wants to watch someone chop log vines all day. Fall 35 tbb 10 [bunnydoe galabex]

Crinkles and quiet snaps of twigs can be heard nearby; nothing out-of-the-ordinary, but they do seem to be getting louder... A face peers from a fan of half-turned autumn leaves, eyes blinking at stumbling upon someone, before turning its attention to some of the still green-looking vegetation around the area..!

The galabex watched the newcomer of the garden chop and hack away at the leaves and vines, turned away and focused on their work. The green looking vegetation did draw attention more so. She bows her head to eat some leaves, only to find less greenery then anticipated. This space of green has been green for a very long time, and now it is starting to brown and crumble up. Crumbling doesn't taste the same as a green leaf to chew and to nibble and such. The vines shift when moved by her antlers, avoiding them doing damage to her eyes. While the cat worked, Mum watched the garden. Just out of sight, theres something big, and dark, in the foliage. Perhaps if they could work their way out of the rope looplets, it could be possible to get out of there. The spider focuses... and the rope...wiggles. Like a just waking up snake exposed to sunlight. Twitches. Grow loose. Grow loose, I said. The weaver is all on making the rope move on its own, telekinesis weakened be damned. Just as he reaches for another vine to chop at, there's a... weird purple banana with stripes just dangling from a branch. fall 36 tbb 1

Weren't bananas supposed to be green and yellow? Skylos picks the banana but sets it with his log collection, because a. he's a carnivore and doesn't eat bananas, and b. maybe the local old lady who ran the plant store or even the Warden might be able to tell him what sort of plant this is. There's no stinging in his pads as he picks it, so its not poisonous to the touch, which is good. the cat stands up, stretching his arms up over his head like a human does, feeling the muscles in his arms and shoulders protest. He's a cat, and hasn't known the labor of the field for hours on end. It wasn't hours on end, but he'd made some progress into the area. Maybe a day more of chopping logs and he'd have some space to let the dogs and the spiders have some free time outside the kennel that wasn't related to being a park. That is, if they ever wanted to again... his mind briefly lingers on his dogs, who are not there. Freedom... freedom. 'I'm going to open this rope and go see that thing in the grass' the spider tells themself, struggling to open the rope wide enough. Big abdomen doesn't help. And whatever is big and dark is still there. tbb 2 37

Perhaps this animal that is hidden mostly from view is related partially to the monster sized rabbits found in the mansion during certain parts of the year, but the body type is all wrong. They don't stand up on two legs. Not easily at least. But it tries to occasionally. Just a bump up to catch the surroundings. Or put her front paws on a taller object to get a leg up on height. She puts her head up again when the amount of chopping and placing noises stopped. The creature beyond the foliage is not tall, and looks distinctly more like a head'd cat with no fire burning at either end of the body. Oh she's well aware of the herds that walk this place right now; only a few burning cats though. They're less ...herdy. Yes. Her opalescent eyes watch the cat do a tall humany stretch, then down and stretch the rest of him too. Huh... interesting. Its a struggle for Mum to figure out the idea on how to make an item both loose and wide so they can walk right out of this looplet. Thankfully it hasn't tightened up again. The cat's not THAT good at tying knots. tbb 3 38

This isn't interesting for you, is it Mum. Skylos asked his spider when he picks up out of a long spinal stretch that ranges from neck to tail. He lays the hatchet down beside his pile of logs, the blade facing away from where he's walking to avoid losing a limb to injury. W-what are you doing there? The spider freezes in place when they see the cat is just standing there now, watching them attempt to open the rope with telekinesis. There's no Lav around to translate clickiing so the spider does not make any noise of answering, and tries further to spread the rope without touching it. Just 'seeing' it. Ah..awkward. I should've not made the rope so tight if it was hurting you Mum, I'm sorry. Skylos apologizes to the weaver as he carefully reaches over and starts loosening the rope looplet for them. Hey, hey stop that. I'm trying to open that myself! A little fuzzy leg scratches at his paw briefly, with as much 'upset' as a weaver can give. ...Do you not want the rope off? He's a bit confused on their actions. A few autumn leaves blow past, one lands on the foliage near the hidden creature. tbb 4 39

Mum really wished they had hands at one point, slapping a leg-arm against the space between the eyes in frustration. NO, THEY DO want the rope off, but they want to do it themselves. He seems to fail to recollect sometimes that Mum and Lav are older weaver who have a bit more... knowhow of certain things then a freshly hatched baby. They're not a freshly hatched baby! The little mind weaver hisses at him, and the cat backs off fast. Hissy spider = bad news. He carefully removes his paws from the rope as the spider tries to move the rope again, it glows slightly green as they try. It occurs to the cat man as he watches his little weaver attempt to remove the rope themselves. It keeps lifting and falling, like its too heavy to move themselves. How long does that regrowth potion last? Hours? Days? Forever? The half empty bottle is sitting on the shelf in the kennel. He'll go read that when they get out of the garden. He's essentially done for the day too. The creature watches some more but there's a certain crackling from above as some wind rustles a tree above someplace, and cascades a bunch of leaves out of noplace. AAAAAH! fall 40 tbb 5 Skylos lv 11?
