While everyone was hopefully looking at Ruiko, Silver took a step to the side and slipped something under a blanket that was spread out next to them. The Malii was carefully watching them, though it may not seem like it through her costume. The crowd very well may think she was staring at them with malice.
Silver subtly flicked their fingers, a beckoning call for Ruiko to come over. She stretched her wings up as high as possible to make herself look more intimidating and looked down at the innocent blanket. Silver quickly flicked it up into the air, allowing an amorphous living shadow loose. It bolted in the only direction it could - straight into her face. It bounced off her horn, seeming to dissolve as it passed between her dark wings.
The blanket then continued its trajectory and covered her front half completely. She lowered her wings and scooted forward a little bit, making sure she was convincingly covered. “As you can see, she does not fear the darkness,” they said.

Ruiko waited for a moment, then crawled out the other side of the blanket with a toy in her mouth. It was unlikely the audience could see it with her costume in the way, so she gently plopped it onto the ground so that it stood to ‘face’ the judges. The figure resembled a young Tainted Equillion. How festive.
Ruiko flicked her tails to remove the last bit of blanket clinging to them, then peered down at the little toy like a barn cat who had just spotted a mouse. She tapped it with her outstretched paw, flexing her claws and sizing it up.
“Ruiko, shadow claw,” they said quietly so that only she could hear. Instantly she stopped toying with it and the dark flames around her feet flared up. She sliced through the toy with a trail of shadows dancing after her claws. Then she pinned down the shredded bits with her paw and seemed to watch in delight as a lingering pool of shadow slowly evaporated away.

With the audience inevitably focusing on the demise of the toy, Silver reached for the last prop in the show - a shining jar full of fireflies from the festival. They placed it down and quietly called Ruiko over. She pranced to the other side of the stage, clearly proud of her work so far.
“Now, Ruiko, it’s time to put out the lights,” Silver said with the echoey undertone in their voice returning.
Ruiko stared at the fireflies as if contemplating their existence for a moment. Then she bowed her head and touched her horn to the lid of the jar. At first, nothing happened, but slowly the light from within the jar began to fade. A swirl of darkness formed around her horn and the jar, growing larger and larger as the fireflies grew dimmer and dimmer. Just as the last bit of light was extinguished from within the jar, Ruiko turned to face the audience and growled ominously. Suddenly, on cue, the stage went dark.
Silver could hear the panicked whispers in the crowd as they hurried off stage with their Malii.

I carefully adjusted the frayed hat Igor was wearing so that it looked as perfect as possible for the upcoming show. Along with his tattered wings, it fit right in with his unusual aesthetic. While I could hardly call him a beautiful creature, one could argue that he was just perfect for this particular holiday. Soon it would be our turn to take the stage, and I had a lot of faith in the adamant little beast, however unsightly he may be. I had Igor follow me closely as I made my way to the center of the show ring. He was partially hidden both by his costume and the way he was hunched low next to my body. This made his inevitable reveal much more interesting. I stepped aside, leaving him standing in the spotlight. A glimmer of light bounced off his well polished choker, and the shade from his hat further emphasized his gaunt features. “Presenting - Igor! A creature who has conquered death, itself,” I said proudly. [22.65, 12.4] [using Scarecrow Hat and Snake Choker]

While it was strictly true that Igor had skirted death on more than one occasion, it actually had nothing to do with his appearance. Not that any of that was relevant to the performance.
“Igor lives in the shadow, abhorring the light,” I explained, gathering a ball of light between my two front claws. I passed the light back and forth between my claws as the lights in the show ring began to slowly fade. It was hardly noticeable at first, especially if all the eyes were on the little orb of moonlight, but soon enough it was the only light within the ring.
I held the light under Igor’s chin, causing his sunken eyes and harsh skeletal features to stand out more than ever before. The wavering nature of the light made it look like the shadows were dancing across his face. Suddenly he snapped his jaws, inhaling the light and ultimately extinguishing it, leaving the show ring without light.

It was just a moment before the lights flickered back to life, but it felt like much longer. I feigned surprise as the lights returned, a little bit of acting to enhance the show. The audience was fine, of course, with a reasonable level of light maintained within the stands for security reasons. They would not allow me to turn out all of the lights, and I did not see a reason to argue with them about it
“Though he may appear frail,” I continued, this time holding out a strangely shaped flask of inky black liquid, “he is, in fact, completely immune to corrosion.”
When I pulled the stopper out of the bottle, a plume of eerie black smoke poured out of it. I held it high, making sure that everyone could see how sinister it looked. Then I upended the bottle, splashing the opaque black sludge onto Igor’s wings and down his back. It dripped through every crack and crevice in his thinly stretched skin, pooling around his jagged claws.

Igor fluttered his wings and flicked his tail, shaking off the last of the odd potion. The next part of the routine would emphasize his ability to take down prey. Igor might look different now, but he was still a fierce creature with wickedly sharp claws and a jaw full of fangs. Few things were more frightening than a predator on the hunt.
“Igor, kill,” I said, tossing a stuffed toy into the ring. It flopped uselessly to the ground, and keen observers might notice that the toy was actually a fabric version of Igor himself. When I saw it for sale, I could hardly ignore the entertainment value of him ripping apart a smaller version of his own species.
He pounced onto the toy, claws sinking into the fluff in the body of the toy. In one swift motion he ripped an arm off of it, sending shreds of cotton filling spilling out. It would not take much imagination to know what that would look like if there was a living creature involved.

Clearly not satisfied with the dismembered plush, he finished it off with a bite, grabbing the toy’s head in his mouth and tearing it clean off. He chewed on what was left of the fabric in his mouth, causing one of the eyes to pop off and clatter to the floor.
While he was doing that, I retrieved the last item I would use during the show. I whipped the toy past the space above his head, causing him to drop the plush and lunge for the flying bat. He caught it quickly, then hung from the end of the string until it quickly snapped under his weight.
Though he had won his prize, he also hit the floor with a fairly solid thud. I put on my best concerned look and rushed over to see how he was. He stood up and it was clear that one of his leg bones was knocked out of place by the fall. Igor looked back at the bone, awkwardly sticking out at an odd angle, and simply snapped it back into place with a loud and dramatic crack.
"Igor, everyone!" I said with a bow, leaving the exact details of his misplaced bone ambiguous.

Bat-cat "No. You don't even know what a bat is." If anyone had peeked into the kennel at that point with that, one might think the cat man is talking ot himself.
Flying food "Ugh, everything is food to you." he grumbles, casting a glower upwards at the shaded rafters where thick sheathes of web stretches. He's been sitting at the table for hours, a pocketknife in his hand and gross goop clinging to his fingers, under his claws, in his FUR. Ew. But his masterpiece needs one more...there. He sits back, tail swishing the floor in satisfaction. The pumpkin looks great, although he hasn't removed anything. This was for Kitri to do.
She's snoozing in the warmest corner of the room, taking up the most space. "Kitri, we need to go now."
Snoooorre. A gentle swishing of his tail under her nose and takes it away before her jaws snap at the tickling. The green eyed canine slowly wakes up, large green eyes rolling at him. ? "Contest time. Lets go, follow me."
She's still sleepy as foling the cat to the hall, where the light is dim and she's confused on what was go go next.
And the cat is very.... wavey. His strides are long despite not long feet. And his look is very... struttish. Was he attemping to find a female?
"My name is Count Skylos. My minion, Kitri. Come, Kitri." She comes, to his side.

"This evening, it is about the shivers down your spine. Shadows creep and light hides inside of pumpkins." At this, the count hauls out a pumpkin about the size of his torso. Grand and large and orange, he puts it on a stool on stage. "My pumpkin is not blank, because Kitri will finish it for me. Kitri, bite the pumpkin here, and here." he points at them with his paw, showing her a treat. He'd cut the spaces just enough that they should melt through. Carefuly, the worginu misaligns her jaw enough to show how large her mouth can become as a worginu, her lower jaw impaling the two spaces on the pumpkin. "Good, please sit and wait." She backs off, a chunk of pumpkin clinging to her canine, licking it into her mouth to chew noisily. BAM BAM BAM, goes her tail. The pumpkin is making a hissing noise as the two puncture tooth marks start melting holes. The 'eyes' of the pumpkin look...painful. "My minion's breed is known for two things, size, and their highly acidic drool. Carefully, it can be for more then just melting the bones off your flesh." he turns the stool in a slow 360 to show the suffering pumpkin. The holes are practically crippling. It might actually rot before he can finish the show. -uses the pumpkin to demonstrate Acid fang, crunch and Crippling poison [31 0/5 0/10 6/20]

"Not very scary without a mouth, right?" He pretends to hear the crowd murmer. "Yes, it needs a grimace to complete its horrific look. Kitri. Spit." he points at the space between the eyes, but slightly lower. It might've been his dumb luck that she spits out a mouthful of seeds in that direction, and they land in a slight line across the pumpkin's face. Hssssss... the seeds melt through and start wearing 'teeth' into the pumpkin's maw. He tosses her a fresh lump of pumpkin. "All it takes is usage of her drool and it can cause...damage. So I, the count, should never handle my minion without a bit of precaution." Taking the collar off from under his cloak, the cat comes to her. Sniffing the collar, the worginu bobs her head slightly so he can reach, slipping it over her head to hang slightly loose around her neck. It took a LONG time to get it this large, mostly due to the weavers tugging on it repeatedly. Taking a brush to her slightly mussed fur on her head, he pats her. "But eve minions must look their best." -demonstrates projectile poison, uses the brush and choker for tolerance [31 0/5 0/10 6/20]

"thankfully, I already finished taking the top off before my pumpkin rots away completely." He takes hold of the thick stem and pulls. The lid of the hissing jackolantern comes free with a pull or two. "While I have no candles, I might as well put some light into it." As the pumpkin lid comes free, something pops out with a screechy BOO! Cackling madly when a few screams are heard. A ghost! GRRRRR The worginu shoves her head in the little ghosts view. She's BIG, and SCARY LOOKING. AAAAH! The spook flees from her looks. Too much scary! Too big! "Well... yes. She is scary to smaller creatures. Some say..." he hides his face except his eyes with a sweep of the cape "Intimidating." His eyebrow whiskers do that up and down thing that humans can do. Although she has no idea what her meowing cat is saying, Kitri just looks around for that spook. If anything, it had spooked her some. But she won't admit that, even to her mate. -demonstrates Intimidation towards the lil' bu

"It is the Wolfs moon tonight. We celebrate the dark, the spooky, but also our moon." he unveils a silvery orb, glimmering in the stage lights. Raising it high. "Praise our moon." AWWWOOOOOO! A chilling howl erupts from behind him. If any other creatures start howling, Skylos can't hear them because WOW SHE'S LOUD. The moon is hidden from view, and the howl slowly peeters out. Ow. "The pumpkin, made by us, will glow in moonlight tonight" he says, and the orb is a near perfect fit to go into the pumpkins inside, placing the lid back on. Silvery white glowing seems to illuminate the drippy smelly look of the pumpkin that looks more murdered then carved. But what can one expect, right? "Thus, the moon sets, the pumpkin returns to the compost, and our show is over. Good evening." He chuckles darkly and beckons Kitri to follow him off stage. They were complete, and with luck that was enough. -demonstrates Howl to the moon orb end +1 Kitri
