The stallion melts into the water easily, swimming much easier than any fish he'd ever seen before. The stallion was a sight to behold, that was for sure. His coloration was actually quite fine for the more earthy waters in the area; his rust-to-loam coloration broken up with a few white bars was difficult to look for in the running water of the stream when the sun glinted on it. His black mane and tail were certainly hard to see in the deeper parts; with only the lotuses being truly visible, with their softly glowing light. Renathan once again uses the call; the long whistle with alternating tonalities. The stallion watches him with curious eyes, his tail swishing in the water, before he starts to come closer to the bank again, stepping out with water rolling off of his body like a duck's. Renathan gives him another piece of apple, so that the creature would know he'd done well.
The stallion eats his pink apple quickly, and then goes nosing around for more. This, of course, got Renathan's arm wet, and Renathan had to fend off his curious equillion with gentle touches, laughing the entire time. The stallion seemed quite humored as well, giving off a soft noise; the stallion was usually quite silent- thus his name. Renathan waits for a moment and then orders the stallion off into the water yet again. Of course, the stallion happily obliged, his body weaving down into the water of the brook as if he belonged there, and not in the dry air of the land. Perhaps he even did? Renathan had not tried to figure out too much about his equillion's strange habits in comparison to other equillion. The stallion was swimming quite easily, but also obviously listening out for Renathan's command; he was quite clever, and Renathan could tell. Renathan puts the whistle to his mouth.
The stallion watches him with almost intelligent-looking blue eyes, like little pools of milky sky, and Renathan calls out he whistling command with the alternating pitches. The stallion comes up out of the water quickly, almost trotting in place to receive his treat. Renathan pets him gently, and of course gives him the small pink apple slice as per the usual. Renathan was sure by this point that they were ready to begin the process of doing this with him on his back; Renathan hoped that the stallion would get it quickly so that they could go home, as he was beginning to get tired, himself. The stallion finishes off the crisp pink apple piece and then looks at him Renathan. Renathan was unceremoniously surprised with a lick from the stallion, that nearly took his mask off of his face with it's ferocity! "Heya!" Renathan calls out, giving a whoop and stepping back while holding his mask to his face.
Renathan was more amused than he normally would have been, by the stallion's antics, but the creature really was one of his favorites, so he instead gently pushes on the stallion's shoulder in a playful manner. Soon, he takes a quick jog and leap, mounting the stallion without a saddle. He had never really required one previously, but the stallion still wasn't completely used to it. His ears peel back for a moment, and then decidedly push forward as Renathan pets him, making him feel calmer. Then, Renathan orders him to swim, urging him toward the water. The stallion enters the water without any issues, despite the added weight on his back. Renathan was always surprised by how well-muscled the stallion was despite his thin body (equillion were typically more thin than other horses for the most part, especially pures), but it was especially neat in the water. It was almost like the stallion used his muscles more efficiently in the water.
The stallion swims in the water, easily, even with Renathan on for the ride. Soon, Renathan holds on to the stallion and whistles; calling out the command for the 'go to land' behavior, with the whistle being prolonged and the tone alternating during it. The stallion seems confused at first, and as predicted. One ear slips forward, and then folds back again. The stallion seems to have made his decision to repeat the behavior despite the fact that Renathan was on his back, carefully swimming up to the bank and then hauling himself out of it, only giving a slight bit of difficulty pulling his body out of the water with Renathan riding. Renathan gives a soft chuckle when the stallion shakes his entire body off, almost like a dog, to remove the tiny droplets of water in a miniature storm about them. Renathan pets him on the shoulder affectionately, and then gives him a small pink apple piece happily.
Renathan waited for the stallion to eat his treat calmly before steering him back out into the brook again. The stallion was really getting the idea by now, it seemed. He wades back out into the water and then easily seems to slip right into it, swimming in that captivating, strange way of his. Brook Horse through and through, it seemed. Renathan runs his fingers through the hair of the stallion's mane, curious at what the tactile sensation would be like, and then he calls for the stallion to go toward land again. Then he gave him a treat of course! They repeated this several more times, until Renathan started to feel the stallion have a little more difficulty pulling them both up out of the water. At this, Renathan figured that they had worked enough on this command, and he slips off of the stallion's back quietly. Yes, that would do for now.
Renathan had left that day, after collecting all of the pieces that they had come here with. He carried everything himself, since he could just tell that the stallion was tired. The two went home, where Renathan allowed the stallion into his resting quarters. Renathan had recently worked on the equillion barn to better house the equillion, allowing them to roam the fields, while offering a nice climate-controlled area for them to stay. Of course, this particular equillion often preferred the house anyway, which was sometimes annoying; thankfully the creature tended to be cleanly and didn't soil his living areas, unlike most of the other equillion.
The next day, Renathan knew that he wanted to work on the bay equillion's endurance levels, so that they might could dodge things in battle a little easier. This training was going to be especially difficult, but not because it would be hard to learn.
 - [START of 'Endurance']

Creatures that could dodge away from physical moves more than once really had hit Renathan in his soft spot. He really hadn't had his last, greatly desired, chance to win that coveted sarane championship; and the last tournament he went into seriously had caused him great anguish that still stung. Sometimes, he still thought about it when alone. The sight of that blue sarane bastard dodging again, and again, and again still made him angry. Still; he took his lumps with wisdom, despite the lingering fear about it. He knew that in order to win; his creatures would have to find ways around it, and possibly use it themselves, to their advantage. Renathan has already tacked Shy Guy up for the day, and rode out to the training grounds. He decides to start the stallion out by walking him around the coral, in circles. The stallion seems to take this quite well, the first three times they do it.
Renathan pets the stallion on his shoulder, keeping both sides of the rein in one hand. The sun was a little warmer today than yesterday; already a slight sheen of sweat was starting up under Renathan's fur. He decides that it may be a good idea to start the dashing now, since they did need to work through this rather quickly. Renathan carefully leads the stallion into a run, racing around the field like the wind. Renathan lowers himself on the saddle to help distribute weight instinctively. He had been riding for a long time, even if it was relatively short here in Pethia. Not much was different, anyway. The stallion is able to zip around in a way that nearly felt like flying... However, Renathan didn't need the real deal of flying with this creature; he could fly on his sarane if he wanted to. The stallion runs around, starting to work up just the start of a sweat himself, glinting across his fur.
The equillion must have looked like an animalistic bullet, streaking around the coral like that. Renathan steers and guides him towards the rocks, leaping and displaying a great amount of dexterity for such a large creature. The huge equillion doesn't seem phased by their work quite yet, despite all of the hurdling leaps. Renathan steers him towards the edge of the coral, and coaxes him expertly into a flying leap over the fence. The stallion executed this with glistening excellence. Renathan hoped to really hone in their dexterity in the future, but for now, it was that endurance that he was hoping for. Soon, Renathan has him steered back into the corral. He was hoping to tire him out a good ways before having him practice the dashing behavior; that way the emphasis on endurance would be that much sharper. The stallion leaps back into the corral over the fence, and Renathan decides it was time to start the dashing idea.

Renathan does not dismount, since he wants the creature to really test his limits with the endurance. Renathan calls out the whistling command for the 'dash' behavior, so that the creature quickly darts in a randomized direction, since he didn't know where the 'attack' was coming from. The stallion dashes for a only a moment, and then winds down to a continued gaited amble, his breath a little more loud than before. Renathan pushes the stallion a little bit after a moment of allowing him to catch his breath; doing the shrill whistle for the dash command yet again. The stallion quickly dashes yet again, creating a burst of speed in a randomly choosen direction. Renathan holds on to the saddle quite easily, and is happy to see a goodly amount of sweat on the stallion. The extra burst of speed was not something he was used to at the moment; two dashes in a relative row were tough!

Renathan can tell that the stallion is quite tired, so he lead the stallion over to the little brook so that he could have a drink of the water. He needed to be able to replace all of that water that was being lost to the air due to his sweating. Renathan wonders if today was actually one of the better days to have done this kind of training. However, the weather had been much milder the day before, so Renathan hadn't really guessed that today would be so different. Renathan watches the stallion drink for a little while, a quiet serene smile on his face beneath the mask. Yes, today was going to be tough. He tries to block the memories of this kind of thing being used against him in the past; crushing his dreams as per usual with creature battling. Renathan then re-mounts the equillion, and goes to lead him back into work.
Though Renathan was generally happy with how their training had went thusfar, he wanted to push the stallion even further. He leaps up on the huge pure equillion quite easily. He had really gotten used to the creature's large size, despite the difficulty he had originally experienced. He then coaxes the stallion forward into a gallop, which the creature happily seemed to oblige. Renathan runs him around the coral again a few times, having him leap over rocks and the fence, then back over the fence again. Then he started with the dash behaviors again; calling out the first whistle, and feeling that burst of speed in a direction again. Renathan knew that this would be absolutely required in future mounted combat, so he was very serious about this part of the training. Once again, the creature's pelt began shining; he was sweating. But it had taken him longer to start sweating, this time, Renathan notices.
The stallion executes the dash quite well; and Renathan follows into that with a near instantaneous whistle to dash yet again; not allowing the stallion much time between that and the last. This would have to be instantaneous; if it was going to work in battles. The stallion would not have time to rest. True to the typical, the stallion rushes immediately; and Renathan can tell that the stallion took that much more easily than the first attempt had been not long ago. The stallion really did learn rather quickly, and he was glad for it. Renathan allowed a moment for the stallion to amble about for a moment, catching his breath, which was now just a little heavier. Then, Renathan called out for another dash, and lead it straight into a series of leaps. The stallion was certainly sweating now; and Renathan would soon lead him right back to the water.
Renathan lead the stallion out to the water, and allowed him to drink his fill. The stallion was indeed doing very well today; it was almost as if he were simply ready for it after all of the previous work they had put in. After a little while of rest, Renathan mounted back up ontop of the saddle and started putting the creature through it's paces yet again; the creature racing around the coral and flying over rocks and the fence, and rocks... And then the fence again. The stallion seemed quite ready for it now; ready to push his limits, as if he could read exactly what Renathan wanted from him. Renathan called out the command for the dash behavior again, and the creature rushed away, and then repeated the action directly after due to yet another command. Renathan did not stop there; calling out a third and fourth consecutive command. Both of these commands were followed by the stallion faithfully.

Morgan: You did a great job. c: I love how his face looks, and that wing aura is probably my favorite thing about him. I've kinda associated constellation-y stuff with Morgan's magic before I even had Morgan onsite, and it really ties them together.

Xentus: I was afraid I didn't apply his concepts very well actually heh. The mask inspired his markings and his face shape vaguely. If you look closely at his wing arua, there's little constellations
