The tree like creature is still asleep, the twitching of branches and making the leaves flutter a soft noise, while Sev tries to see just how high he should fly to remain out of the creature’s grasp. The answer? By a lot! With how large it is, lunging at Sev is something she can easily see them being able to do so, its only thanks to their reflexes being slower then their eyes that made it possible for Sev to escape. But even in the air, she doesn’t quite feel like Sev will stay safe.
The previous thunderous wave of what is almost like an overpowered electric charge still keeps playing inside her mind. She feels like she should be stacking their deck in their favor as much as possible. Starting with..
‘Sev?’ She calls out to him through the ribbon, watching him flit in the air cautiously as he seems to be calculating something. ‘Let’s try Silence again while we still can.’ She continuous quickly while she has his attention when Sev looks in her direction.
Trilling softly in acknowledgement, Sev moves his front legs in an unknown pattern, warping and demanding the air to his command. She couldn’t hear the fluttering of leaves any longer.

Their opponent used the time whilst the tree slumbered on to their full advantage, and Xentus could only watch on helplessly. The vespa was doing... Something. The man pondered it for a moment, then noticed the effects. The air began to grow still, eerie, quiet - dampening all sound within the arena. Clearly a means to circumvent Eden's one useful trick, much to the leopard's dismay. With that tactic removed, there was little else the tree had aside from luck to combat the vespa. Xentus let out an unheard, frustrated sigh. This... Was a tough spot to be in. But, the battle was still due last long enough for chance to change the tides. Now, to hope it would be in his favor. And that Eden would finally awaken.

The tree continued to slumber, and now with no means of word reaching the tree to rouse it, the man's hands were tied. He'd simply need to continue waiting, letting time tick on. But little did Xentus know, Eden's forced slumber had already worn off. The nyssa's eyes blinked open, groggily browsing the pit for a moment before closing once more. It bothered not to stand or move. It... Seemed to be perfectly content continuing its slumber. The strange bug wasn't bothering it any, and it was peacefully quiet. Ah, how it could just settle in and stay here forevermore.

With Sev so high up in the air, it felt almost like he was tiny! Just a particular big bug in the air that is visible but… maybe two thumbs thick in size from where she is sitting? Looking behind her at the rest of the arena’s bleachers where the audience is sitting, some higher up then her, they likely see Sev in a much bigger state then she does.
Turning her attention away from the crowd, she studies the large tree creature, still looking like it slumbered, but is it? It’s been resting much longer then those normally affected by Sev’s sting, and with him being so big… shouldn’t the sleeping agent affect it even less? It should, shouldn’t it? She felt nervous, twitchy. She still remembers it used a strange echo like sound in the arena, something that gave her a bad feeling.
She can tell just from looking up that Sev wasn’t the slightest bothered by what she is realizing that something is wrong, and when she thought looking back down she saw the tree creature twitch, she snapped.
‘Sev use play dead!’ She called out to him through the ribbon, watching the tree, but she forgot something…
“Oh shit!” Looking up she sees Sev do exactly as asked, but with him in the air-!
Sev twirls down in an almost unpredictable pattern, body loose and just going with the wind flow as he descents, while to at least some of her relieve, he does try to keep himself somewhat in the air by making it appear like his wings twitch just a bit here and there in death throes, just fast enough to slow the descent and not make him fall too fast to the ground should he not be able to get out of his spontaneous death by… Heart attack? Yeah, let’s make it that.
“Sev don’t die! Shit! Is this a heart attack?!” She shouts, but then remembers just as suddenly. Right! The silence barrier is up! She hardly hears anything in the arena at all. Still, looking frantic at least might make the creature’s partner think something is wrong and she can trick them? She certainly feels pale and nervous enough on the ‘what if’ if Sev doesn’t manage to pull out of his descend on time and rise up once more.
