Everything was going well so far, Tobi wasn't tiring out just yet, which was good, and she hadn't fallen asleep, which was great! She chuckled a little at herself for thinking that and shook her head as she watched Tobi walk faster through the poles. At least he was understanding the concept a little, she thought for a moment, though the last time they'd been here for this kind of training it had been with the ball launcher, the poles set up along those. Oh well, this worked too, and while she knew it wouldn't be too bad to do it the other way at some point, this is how they were going to do it this time. She sighed a little as she watched Tobi, wishing there was something she could do, cutting a stone or something, while she waited for him to finish after awhile of working. But that wasn't going to happen, not today.

There was really nothing for her to do except to tell Tobi how well he was doing from time to time. She sighed a little at that, that wasn't much, he knew she was pleased with him through their link, and she hoped that wouldn't make him cocky. It was pretty easy to see what was going on at the moment, and she didn't know what else to do right now. At least it gave him something to think about, she figured, it had to be boring just walking the whole time, she wished she could tell him to fly, but that would be a little bit before she gave him that command, she figured. Jack chewed on her lip, wishing there was something else for her to do, but that was fine at the same time. She just knew she had to be there for him, that was all, and she smiled a little as she thought of it.

All she had to do was encourage him to do his best, and she wondered if that was enough for her to do at the moment. Jack chuckled a little as she thought about it and shook her head. All she could do was sit there, and she hated it, at least when they were working on his stamina she could walk with him, though she had to walk rather slow, being so tall she took long strides compared to his many little strides to get to the same spot. Maybe it would be best if she walked around the outside of the room for a little while, get her blood pumping or something. She'd gotten used to walking without the walking stick, which was nice, and Tobi didn't seem to be bothered about things at the moment, he knew she was bored, he could feel it, and it didn't matter much what she thought at the moment.

Standing up and looking around at the room they were in, Jack checked on how the bird was doing before starting to walk around the outside of the room for a little while. It was going to be great, she knew, and she wasn't sure what she was really doing right now, but it was better than sitting there and all that. She smiled a little as she thought of how she used to be and all that, and she almost wished she was limping a little again, if only to give herself something to focus on, but no, now her legs were perfect, both of them, and she wondered what was going to happen to her if she went back to the way she had been before all that. Jack sighed a little and wondered what to do about things, but there was nothing to do right now and all that.

Sure things were going to go well, Jack continued to walk as she kept an eye on Tobi at the same time. It was going to be fine, he would walk and dodge around the poles and all that at the same time, as things happened time and time again. Jack knew that Tobi would come out of this better than before, and that was perfectly fine when she thought about it. She wanted him to be better than he had been when she had first gotten him, he'd been a little scared and lonely, and now look at him! He was trained rather well and had some Gym training under his belt at the same time, she knew that would go well for him, she thought with a little smile on her face. She knew that he would do well with the training if it killed him, he was a devoted little bugger.

Tobi was getting bored and chirped at the woman, questioning whether or not he could take a small break. She must have understood his emotions or something, because she smiled and waved him toward the bowl of water. Tobi chirped thankfully and took to the air to settle onto the edge of the bowl and took a few deep drinks of the power water. Jack had taken out the stop watch and was going to time the break, but he was already at it, dodging and weaving through the poles again. He was still walking though, which was a little difficult for him, but she knew it was going to be harder for him to run like she urged him to do now and all that. She smiled when he started a little hopping run, hoping to see him get better quicker and all that. It was fine though, she knew, and she wasn't sure what all to do at the moment herself.

Maybe it would be for the best if she kept walking, she figured as she walked around the outside of the room, Tobi hurrying along the floor in between the poles. She didn't know what to do other than that though, which was a little frustrating. Oh well, it wasn't like it mattered at this point she knew, but that was alright when it was all said and done. Jack shook her head, unsure of what to do about things for the moment and all that, but at least she knew something at the moment, she could at least walk and exercise with the bird a little at the same time. Pushing her curly hair back and smoothing it down a little as best as she could, she wondered what she was going to do with things for the moment. It was going to take forever to get this done, she knew that much, and she just hoped that things would be fine in the end.

The worst part about training in the Gym right now was the fact that it was a lovely day outside. Not too hot, not too cold, just a little breeze in the air to keep things moving, it was great. However, Jack and Tobi were stuck inside on a day like that in order to get this done, hopefully the weather would keep it up for awhile. She smiled a little as she walked and hoped that Tobi was feeling it already. He wasn't yet, but he wouldn't let her know that much, he figured. She sighed a little as she moved around the room and thought about falling asleep at one of the little tables nearby, but she thought that might be bad no matter what. Tobi wouldn't mind, he would just keep going until he was better at it, but that wasn't the point she thought with a little sigh.

If anything, it was a good motivator for them to get done as quickly as they could, all things considered. She knew it would only be a matter of time before they got back out, and hopefully it would still be early enough in the day for them to do a little more training before heading home at this point. Nothing would make her happier when it came to Tobi right now, and she smiled a little as they both walked, her around the outside of the room, and Tobi in between the poles that were in the holes. At least they were working, though she wasn't sure what was going to happen at the same time, no matter what, and all that, and she was sure it would work out for them eventually and everything of course. Giving a little chuckle, she realized she was starting to ramble a little bit in her head, that wasn't good.

Tobi was doing well with his running, or pseudo running, he supposed. It didn't really matter what he did with things at the moment, but that was alright at the same time. She didn't realize he was running as best as he could, but he delighted in the fact that he was going for quite some time between breaks, and he was doing much better than he had been before all of this training had occurred. Tobi wasn't sure this was really good for him, but he seemed to be able to do it more and more as time went on with his practice, and that's all he could really ask for, wasn't it? He snorted a little to himself as he ducked and weaved between the poles, here and there and then back again. It didn't matter, he was getting better, and that's what mattered, wasn't it? Or had she fed him lies?

Everything was going according to plan, she figured as she settled down next to a table in a chair and watched as he ran through the poles. She was about to call a break, but she realized he wouldn't take a long break right now, so she needed to let him go for awhile and to stay awake until he was ready to quit for a little while. It was going to take some time getting used to this, but he was a driven little Jibiji, she had to give that much to him at this point. He knew what he wanted and he was doing everything in his power to make sure he could get it done. Jack chuckled, they might not win the tournament, but that was alright if that was the case and all that. She just didn't know what else things were important right now at the same time.

Not to mention the fact that she didn't know what else to do, Jack settled her head down in her arms for a little bit and slowly fell asleep. It would be good to get some rest while the bird walked, and maybe she wouldn't dream for once. The nightmares tended to keep her up for now, and that was the worst part about the whole thing. Sighing as she slept, she heard the scraping of Tobi's little talons over the concrete floor as he waddled in a run around the poles, through and around them at this point. He was doing well, but they both knew he could do better, and that was the biggest point of the whole part of training at this point. Jack smiled a little in her sleep, she didn't care much what happened during the training, just the result, as long as he didn't get hurt during it, of course. That would be the worst, but it wasn't like it hadn't happened before. Sighing a little again, she shook her head as she rested, it didn't really matter what was going on at the moment, she didn't know what else to do or anything, but that was fine. Jack just knew that things had to get better eventually, and she realized she was doing everything she could to give the Jibiji some advantages. It worked out in her favor, really, and she hoped that he realized that as well. Maybe he did, and maybe he didn't, and that was the worst part, not knowing anything at that point.
Tobi didn't care much that she was resting, he just knew he was supposed to do this, and so this he would do, he figured as he hurried around and through the poles as fast as he could without flying, which, admittedly, wasn't very fast. He wouldn't go quickly on the ground, but in the air he was pretty impressive for a little bird, he could go half as fast as a Wiurn, which wasn't bad when things happened, and all things were considered. Jack was proud of the little bird, and hoped that things would work out for him in the end of it all, though she was proud of him even if it didn't really work out at the same time. Chuckling a little in her sleep, she hoped that Tobi knew how proud she was of him at this point, wondering what would happen if she just up and left, he would probably keep going though, knowing how dedicated he was to the cause and knowing how much he wanted to do better at the same time. Jack wearily opened her eyes for a little bit, resting her chin on her arms, and she wondered what to do for now. It was one thing to not care too much, and it was completely another thing to act on that at the moment, she knew. Jack sighed a little, she wasn't sure what to do, but that was alright because she was going to figure it out eventually. Her brown eyes closed again for a bit and she let out a little sigh, she didn't care much for what was going on, but that was alright, sooner or later she would realize what it had done for the little bird, and that's what mattered, she supposed. It was alright, they would make it out together and then everything would be fine, she knew that much was true at least.

It wasn't as though there was a lot of things to do in the Gym while you waited on your animal to finish, Jack knew that from experience, this was her fourth animal she had brought to the Gym, and they'd all had extensive training. Right now Tobi had the least training, and it was his third time here! She smiled a little, sleepily watching him as he hurried around the poles a little bit as best as he could. At least he seemed to be having fun now, and he chirped whenever he stepped at the moment, you had to have fun somehow when it was super boring to do this kind of thing. Jack yawned a little and closed her eyes again, unsure of what to do at the moment. That was fine, she didn't have to know everything all the time, she figured with a start. She was just so used to it that it bothered her a little, though it didn't really matter, she figured as she rested a little bit. Part of her was upset with herself, a big part of her, actually, and she didn't know what else to do, however. It wasn't like what she did was useless, of course, but it didn't matter at the same time. Jack pushed a hand through her hair for a moment and then settled down again, a little unsure of what she should be doing. At least she had some idea, though she didn't quite know the extent of it, she just had to cheer Tobi on a little bit, that was all there was to it she figured with a little sigh. It wasn't like she had anything else to do at the moment, today was devoted to Tobi, and that was what she needed to remember at the moment. Jack yawned a little in her sleep and nuzzled into her arms a little bit, wondering what else she could be doing at the moment. Sure there were plenty of things, but none of them sounded very appealing, including this training. A low chuckle escaped her as she rested, and she knew that Tobi could hear it and was curious, but that didn't really matter too terribly much right now.
Tobi just wanted to be done, but he couldn't yet, he knew he wasn't done, that was just how it went sometimes. He sighed a little and chirped as he planted a foot onto the floor, followed by his other one. His little arms hung in front of him and gripped at the air every now and then in a stretch, though there wasn't really anything to grab hold of at the moment. That was fine, that wasn't why he was doing it, though he really didn't know why he was doing it anyway. It didn't matter too terribly much, that was fine, and she hoped it would really go well in the end of it all. He just had to stay focused, unlike her at the moment, considering she was asleep, and Tobi finally panted a little and took another drink before he flew over to the woman, curled up in front of her, and fell asleep as well. Sure it could be an issue if she had a nightmare, but she would wake him up eventually, she knew that much and all that at this point. Smiling, she put a hand on him in her sleep, guarding him.

Everything would be fine if they both rested for awhile, and she knew that nothing would get stolen under the tigress' watchful eye. It was going to be fine she knew, but she still wished she had a little more strength to stay awake at the moment. It didn't help that she was tired all of the time lately, she didn't know what was up, but that was fine no matter what, and she stared ahead of herself as she opened her eyes a little bit. Not like it mattered, everything was still there, even Tobi under the warmth of her hand at the moment. Smiling a little, she settled back down and fell asleep again, content with the training so far and wondering what else they had to do today. He needed to fly through the poles a little bit in order to get this going, but she didn't know when she should start him off like that at this point. Jack rustled a little in her sleep and shifted her weight to the other side as she sat there, laying on the table with her upper half it seemed at the moment. She wasn't sure what else needed done, but that was fine she thought with a little smile on her face. At least things were fine between herself and the bird, that mattered more than his training, honestly. She smiled a little bit as she rested some more, content with life the way it was right now and hoping things would work out between the two of them as time went on. So far he'd proven himself quite loyal, and she was quite tempted to make him into her familiar, but at the same time, she wanted one of his new offspring to be a familiar to her. She had paid the Labs to cross Tobi with her Faeron, the one that carried the acorn around a lot, and she was sure that would turn out to be a wonderful familiar all the same, plus she didn't want all the work she had put in with Tobi to mean nothing after awhile.
Tobi was content with life the way it was as well, he figured. It didn't matter what they were together, but that was fine as long as they were both there. He didn't have to be around her all the time either, which was really nice at the same time. He loved her, but there was only so much time he could spend around others before he got a little testy. Tobi liked the woman plenty, but still, that didn't mean much at the moment when he wanted to be by himself and all that. Jack was a nice lady, she'd taken him in when the other had wanted to get rid of him, and he appreciated it a lot, and he loved her, he really did, but that was a little beside the point he thought as he slept a dreamless sleep. It would all work out eventually they both knew, but that was alright no matter what. Jack was good as long as time went on like this, and the training could take a back seat to everything else at the moment. Maybe when they woke up she would have him fly or something, woke up for good instead of just falling back asleep this time.

Tobi wasn't sure what else to do at the moment, and she didn't know either, Jack at least. Maybe Renathan would know what else to do right now and all that, but nothing was going to work out between the two of them as they settled into a routine soon. At least twice more would they need to come back, and she wasn't looking forward to it at the same time. Jack wasn't sure what to do at the moment aside from rest a little bit and all that, but there was nothing else to do right now at least. He would need to fly around the poles eventually, but that was all there was to it. She knew there was little to do with things at the moment, and she wondered if things would work out well for them if this was all they did. Oh well, at least there was something for them to do whenever they got up from resting a little bit, she knew the little bird definitely needed it at this point, there was no way he didn't with all that walking. Soon they would be back and work on his stamina a little, and then maybe work on his strength if they had time. It would be nice to have a strong Jibiji, though she didn't know just how strong he would really be at this point. Jack chuckled again in her sleep as Tobi stirred a little under her hand. She could honestly flatten him right here and now, but she wasn't that mean to her animals, she refused when it came to something like that. Jack smiled a little, she loved her animals and it just went to show how loyal they could be whenever you treated them right.
Tobi did love her, though he tried not to show it much from time to time. Jack smiled a little, she knew it, but she didn't want to embarrass him with it. There was just their emotional link, which made it interesting to try and get things done, but at least she knew what she was going to do with that. It hurt when he hurt though, she knew that, and that was the hardest part of fighting an animal you had bonded with that well at this point. Jack wasn't sure what to think of at the moment, and she didn't know what else to do right now either. All she knew was that she was tired and so was the bird at this point. All she could do was sit there at the table, head on her arms, with her hand over the little bird. It was worth it in the end, she knew, but that didn't mean much in the long run either. Jack just knew that she needed to protect him as much as she could at the moment, and that was all she had to do. Of course he would never win against a Thundergug or anything, but that wasn't the point she decided. The point was, he was fragile, and while he could now fight, that didn't mean much in the long run either. At least he could dodge pretty well and sense danger as best as he possibly could, but she didn't know what else to do for him at the moment. It was tough trying to plan it all out, but she needed to do it, for his sake.
