Its been a while since she had come here adopt, but the progress of being led to the cages and being handed a couple of forms and a pen before being left alone is a familiar one to her. She didn’t know quite yet if she wanted to adopt, or just see what kind of different creatures are currently being held here, but having the papers ready for when she did decide on which action to take is familiar and comfortable to her. Stuffing the pen and paper into her pocket, she passes cage after cage, smiling at some of the smaller ones, and looking with interest at some of the more fiercer looking ones. In the end she stopped at one particular cage with much more interest then the ones before it. A Thundergug is calmly munching in the feeding through located within the cage, gazing placidly at her. ‘Now this one looks interesting.’ She couldn’t help but think as she watches the Gug. Normally she would feel rather cautious of being so close to a large and strange creature, but she reminds herself of Saar who is just as big and similar in appearance. Saar and this one have just a few differences in appearance, that’s all, and it’s not enough to not want to go and see if she could build a good rapport with this one before trying to write down the form and appeal to Mathew with her plight. ID: #0143 Species: Wasteland Thundergug

“Hello?” She says in a gentle tone, kneeling down to the closest spot where the head is, but not too close in order to make it uncomfortable. “Do you enjoy your food?” She says with a grin, and watches it blink slightly in confusion at her. Probably wondering why she is wanting its attention when others might be more likely to pass it by. “I wonder what your nature is compared to Saar.” She says, and sees it turn her head more towards he as she keeps talking. “Calmer? Gentler? Rough around the edges? Perhaps even more stubborn as you’re a full blooded Thundergug?” She seems to have started to get its attention as it moves closer to the cage bars, sniffing loudly in her direction. “Maybe you want something different to eat once in a while huh?” She comments with a small chuckle, shrugging off her backpack that she had brought along for such a occasion, and some toys that wouldn’t be missed should she be unable to get it back if one of the creatures gets a hold of it. “Lets see, Thundergug’s are herbivores, so perhaps this is something you would enjoy.” She says while taking the item out of her backpack.

She takes out two apples, gentle laying them both on the ground for a moment, then straps on her backpack, and picks up one of the applesand keeps it held in her hand as she pressed it against the bars. The Thundergug sniffs loudly at the fruit, but she grins when it starts licking at the fruit first. “The taste good enough for you?” She comments as it starts taking a small bite out of the apple, its eyes focused on her. Slowly she comes closer with her other hand to carefully pet it, making sure to stay as far away from the mouth. “It’s got quite a pleasant taste, doesn’t it?” She comments cheerfully as she sees the juices running out of its mouth, but it takes a much larger bite now instead of a small one again now that it got its first taste from it. “Just a little bit of variety in a diet can spice up your life, though, I think your kind isn’t normally all too interested in fruit I suppose?” She wasn’t certain of it, having never actually taken much time to study all the types of species information. Only a few she knew by heart, the rest she’d either read up on in her study room, or learn something about through trial and error.

The skin felt interesting once she finally was able to touch its hide, ready to pull her hand back from the bars should it snap at her for some reason. She couldn’t really say it felt like touching a reptile hide like she first assumed it might have been like (though, come to think of it. Not even Saar felt truly like that), no, instead it reminded her of human skin roughened with time and harsh conditions. With few sparse hairs located everywhere. “Like a Snorfle.” She mutters in thought, having owned that type of species very briefly. She wasn’t the type to keep such an awkward creature though. She had learned rather quickly that they get scared too easily, and that their way of sounding the alarm when it happens only stressed out her other companions. So, sad as it might have been, she had decided early on to separate them from her other companions in an environment where they would stay relaxed, and be ready to be sold at any moment a buyer would be interested in them. ”I wonder how you would react in Saar’s presence.” She says with a grin as the Thundergug finishes its first apple, and is already staring at the next one.

“You want this one as well huh?” She says gently, petting its rather impressive crest. It looked like it fit this one much better then Saar’s ever does. His is actually quite a bit smaller when you compare it to the whole body. “Here, its yours. Careful now, don’t bite my fingers off.” She says the last rather firmly, to let the Thundergug know she is serious about it. Luckily though, it doesn’t seem to have too much trouble with taking smaller bites as she pressed the apple through the bars, and making sure its teeth aren’t going to harm her hand. “Good girl, or boy?” She sighs. “I’ll need to ask the owner of the APAA about that probably, it would be quite embarrassing if I say the wrong gender all the time” She mutters at the end, though her lips twitch upwards into a smile as the Thundergug finishes this apple as well, and is busy snuffling at the bats for more. “Sorry, that was the last one, but I still have some fruit left. Should Matthew allow me to take you with me, I can give you some of that while on the road.” She certainly hoped her application would be accepted for this one, “I’ll see you again in a moment.” She says cheerfully as she pets it on the crest a final time, the Thundergug looks on in confusion, its eyes boring into her back as she turns around to search for Mathew as she takes out of her pocket the form and pen, filling out the important information of the Thundergug and why she’d hope to be able to take it along with her..
