It was time to borrow more of the cute pollen-cats from Jack, keep on going with her little project. The last attempt at breeding the critters ended up with a green-brown female with antlers which Lethalia tragically had to keep for herself. It was certainly going to happen sooner or later, with all of the color combinations she intends to experiment with. This month, she was quite hopeful her choices would give her more of the colors to save up for her project as opposed to just herself! Doe, the female she brought, looked a lot like her recently bred Coal Sprite with similar dark colors, antlers and wings. They'd make a cute pair, if someone wanted more of the same. Her preference for mutations in the creatures was showing, wasn't it? These normally aren't her colors, harvest brights and naturals - but hopefully she was on the right track for their recipient. In that case, she needed some burgundy in the mix - but that seemed to be a slightly more uncommon color for the critters she noticed when she picked these ones out of Jack's menagerie. Still, she had hopes for some mutations and some of the male's flamboyant colors to crop up in the offspring. breeding| 1

Burgundy or reds might take a little more planning, but clearly the critters can display near any color on them. There was even a rainbow marked one! She was having a bit experimenting with the coat colors of the pachee, since they seemed to act a little differently than breeding normal creatures. She was going to have to mess with seeing the results without bringing berries eventually, but for now they seemed conducive towards what she was wanting. It would also seem a little less foreign, hopefully, when the pets she was bringing were her own. The satyr found herself hauling in two large crates yet again, which were surprisingly difficult to keep a hold of with one of them being energetic and shifting their weight from one end to the other. Probably the male, he looked like he was more excitable than Doe before she packed them away. Leading them in on leashes would be much easier - and so cute! There was little reason to trust creatures she didn't own, however. Plus she had the responsibility of not letting someone elses' pets get away, and this felt like a better way of ensuring she could keep them contained and safe. breeding| 2

She was probably just being overly worried for nothing, considering most pachee had been agreeable creatures as far as she's seen of them. The idea of one wandering off or really doing much seemed pretty unlikely. There was something fun about borrowing them still. She was quite grateful for the chance to start out with some really nice critters! Setting the two pachee on the ground, Lethalia lounged on the counter as she checked Doe and Unripe in. The paperwork was so cut and dry, it felt impossible to begin to fill those out even when she did figure out how to write a little better. Maybe she could with time, but for now, at least she was adept at telling people she needed help filling out paperwork with the least damage to her pride she can manage. A smile crept on her face as she watched the pachee, the small cat plants far more entertaining to watch than the papers being filled out. Unripe's paw was waving from one of the openings of his carrier, flailing around as he made small mewing noises that sounded like pleading to get out. "Y'gonna get out soon enough, calm down," the satyr laughed. She hadn't thought to ask if they'd been here before. breeding| 3

Lethalia carried the pachee off to their appointed room, smirking a little as she did so. They were going to get out of there little prisons and stretch their legs out soon enough! This one was one of the more vocal of the critters she'd brought in so far, squealing excitedly as she manipulated the door open best she could with two carriers. As eager and noisy as he was, she decided Unripe would be too much of a hassle if she didn't let him out first. Likely the rattling of his cage door would spook Doe anyway, so it would be easier to let him just escape and be appeased into being less disruptive. Approaching the mewing, shaking crate first, Lethalia can't contain her giggling. He's pretty cute, actually. "Are y' saying y' want out?" she teased, kneeling to unlatch his cage. The peachy orange pachee's paws assist in opening the grate for her, and she cackles a little as he springs out as soon as he's clear. "Hey there, little dude." Doe let out a plaintive mew, apparently feeling left out already. Perhaps that would make things easier on her! "I haven't forgotten about you, Doe," she tells the pachee, needlessly. She's going to talk to pets, even if they're not hers. breeding| 4

Unripe completed a lap around the room at mach speed, tripping over both Lethalia's bag and the stool. Though the woman had to cringe and try to check him over as he sped by, he defied really being observed as much more than a blur. That probably meant he couldn't have hurt himself much if he can keep up that sort of pace, right? Definitely fine, at least for the time being. Hopefully laps would keep him busy for a few minutes. Turning her attention back to Doe, the pachee had grown impatient enough to mew a few more times at Lethalia - even those sounded pretty dainty and polite. This one is pretty sweet, and her jeweltone purple eyes matched the girly personality. Doe delicately stepped out of her carrier, even if she was in a hurry to get out of it. She just seemed to have a delicate demeanor to her, the name seeming more apt as the soft spoken pachee gets settled in. With their different temperaments, she can't help but wonder if they're compatible enough to breed. It would be a first to hear about two of them refusing to couple, because it seemed like they almost always would if given enough time. breeding| 5

Hopefully Unripe could settle down and be charming enough for that to be true in this case, too. If he didn't, they could go down in history as the first pair to refuse! No, she didn't actually think that was true. Still though, even if she might be dubious they'll get to liking one another enough, more than likely it's going to happen anyway. They just look like an unlikely pair, for now. Unripe did slow his racing momentarily to skid to a stop, tail-leaves flared like a cat with a puffed tail. Well. The yellow-eyed beauty was cute at least, even if Doe didn't seem to share her favor. Her nose wrinkled at his puffing, wings giving an agitated ripple as he made a strange noise and took off once again, whisking just by Doe along the way. Well, he could probably try a little harder to be more charming, that was for certain. Ah well. There was a chance he'd run out of energy or become more interested in Doe than his acrobatics. Until then, she was likely in for a bit of a wait. It made sense that this could get tedious, but the excuse to sit down and just watch pachee couldn't really be so bad even once it got stale. breeding| 6

An excuse to be able to sit down is something she doesn't get often, so she'll take it where she can. Even if it's sitting cross-legged on the floor to give Doe a place to glower at the energetic male from behind a personal shield. In a bid to distract Doe enough to forget his antics for a moment, the satyr fished in her bag for a few moments before finding the vented plastic container that hopefully kept the berries within from getting crushed. The berries weren't especially valuable, but it would be inconvenient at worst to not only not have them available for use, but having to go back home for more! Doe perked up at the smell of berries wafting to her nose, even if it didn't seem to have any effect on Unripe. That was fine, more for her! Lethalia wasn't quite certain yet if it mattered how much which pachee consumed the berries, but it hadn't seemed to specifically matter much. Smirking to herself thinking of the berries as fertilizer, the satyr dumped them into a bowl for the eager Doe. Well, if she was the only one calm enough to notice there was a treat, that wasn't her fault. breeding| 7

Lethalia remained settled down with Doe as she observed the delicate female eat, still mystified by plant creatures. They acted so much like creatures, but their plantlike functions were so alien on them. Then again, robots disturbed the satyr pretty thoroughly too. Still though, it was neat in a sort of unsettling way to watch them eat, especially since Doe was still nearby enough to continue using her as a shield. At some point, the satyr looked up from Doe when she realized the lack of peachy blur all around the rest of the room. Unripe had finally collapsed on the floor, looking pleased with himself as his ears flickered this way and that, contentedly catching his breath. Silly boy, hopefully he didn't tire himself out too much. Flickering her fingers at the tired male, Lethalia got an ear-twist and curious sniff in her direction. Clearly it was up for debate if it was worth coming over to her, when he was this tiered! After a few more moments of rest, the pachee rose to his feet to sniff the offered hand - curious enough to follow it when she withdrew, lightly scratching her nails on the floor to make a tempting noise. breeding| 8

Unripe almost appeared surprised when she made him round the corner and immediately found himself facing Doe, much closer than expected. It would be a bit strange if he'd forgotten about her presence! The female bristled at his appearance at first, unsure if she's willing to deal with any more uncouth behavior from him. Doe's first reaction when he inched a little closer was to let out a little warning noise at him, which slowly died off as he didn't move another inch. She settled back down, fixing him with a contemplative stare. At this point Unripe was too tired for any sort of altercation. Even if he might want to go up and pester her, there's not much he's going to gain from that other than a slap and less time actually trying to spend time with her. He wasn't holding himself back as much as he'd gotten to exhausted to bring any wrath down intentionally. Lethalia observed the pair from aside, smiling a little as Unripe seemed to be doing his best to not stoke the lady's ire any further. He even laid down politely as if to prove to her he wasn't going to cause such a ruckus any more. breeding| 9

Lethalia hauled herself to her feet, no longer feeling like she needed to be an obstacle in place between them just to keep the peace. Settling on the stool instead, Lethalia could watch a bit better from here; hopefully she improved their introductions together at least somewhat. They were sitting together in relative peace for now, after all. That's a step up from earlier! She could have sworn that her attention only lapsed for a moment, but the idea on where she lost it is uncertain. There was only so much to watch, and at some point she had to have daydreamed off or even fallen asleep for a moment, but the next time she opened her eyes, pollen had began to rise in peals. It was likely the sound of Unripe's tail hitting the ground that had roused her, but the satyr didn't know when Doe went from bristling at him to catching pollen. Well, the woman didn't claim to know how these creatures worked - and there was a chance she nodded off for some time. Either way, she didn't seem to disturb the pachee when she rose to her feet to grab up her bag and move a little bit closer to the door, both feeling the need to give them a little privacy and not wanting to go home with pollen coating everything. breeding| 10

A bright ember of a male, and a much darker ashen female.
