Regrets

A lit cigarette touched his lips for a moment and he took in a big drag, holding the smoke for a bit before letting it back out. He was watching the farm for a bit as he usually did from time to time, but not much had changed. So he'd gotten into Sarane quite a bit huh? Well, he didn't blame him, he would have done it too, if he'd had the chance. The man sighed, a whisper on the wind as he sat on the fence, elbows on his knees as he watched the activity. It was night, and his best friend had a cemetery. Was there a plot for him there? He really didn't know, but it would be nice to have something to go home to sometimes. Right now he just drifted from here to there, watching and waiting.
There was some regret, he figured as he rubbed his neck, feeling the scars he'd burned into himself, one for each of them... Glancing down, he realized it didn't matter, it wasn't like he could come back at any time, his body was gone, his animals didn't remember him, he wasn't sure his best friend even remembered him at this point, but he remembered his best friend.
Sometimes he wandered through the house to see what went on behind closed doors, but never invaded privacy, and he didn't fault his best friend for anything at all. He just wished...
He missed him. A lot.
Most of all, Obsidion missed Ashe, and wished he was there with him right now. That was his only regret, not being able to be with his friend anymore, unsure of where he could go and what he could do, floating in all eternity. His regret was throwing it all away over a girl, hating himself for being such a fool. But that didn't matter now, he just wished he could tell him.
