Physical Description:
“Sarv the Hornbringer”
While not domineering in height, being of quite average size and stocky build, the knight's overall appearance can none the less come off as imposing - he is never seen without his armour, his polearm nor his distinct helmet, and the overall appearance is one of a battle-hardened veteran with a touch of valor, all aspects of gear always well polished and kept in good order, even as they show the wear of use and battle. Its a little difficult to tell what his face looks like, as the helmet never comes off, something he strictly adheres to as a part of his duty and charge. The story goes he cut the horns for his helmet off of a drake slain in the northern mountains, as part of a rite of passage as a warrior, thus giving him his name. At best only the faceplate may at times be removed for eating or drinking, giving hints to a human deep tan skin with thin scars lining the face and pale blue eyes. Smells vaguely of leather.
"Aedryn"
There are those who stand out among the crowds through sheer gravitas of being, and then there are the service workers. As a courier of the City, the humanish tends to easily fall into the latter category, largely ignored so long as he appears to have a job to do or delivery to make. This is evident in his clothing as well - a rather bland set of attire, though well-kept, the fashion simple and more on the practical side than flashy. The only real piece of character about it being a few pouches (for storing smaller deliveries) and a small knife (for basic self defence) tied to the belt. What non-human features he possesses tend to be a mixture of lemur or raccoon, evident in the agile tail, dull claws and copper irises against a dark sclera - all common affairs for a mix-blood humanish. The skin is darker than average, with some spots closer to black, such as forehead and hands, but the real piece to grab attention tends to be a relatively fresh looking scar across one eye. Smells vaguely of the ocean.

Èdan
A humanish, as the City-folk call them, though he's heard every variation of his specific fell-blooded nature - devil, demon, fiend, monster, mutant, foul creature, abyss-walker, soul-taker.. No wonder it is easier to hide behind masks. While City-folk seem more trusting of other humanish and humanoids, he suspects that manner isn't nearly as universal all around and old habits of fearing what one doesn't understand die hard among the common folk.
The skin is much like human skin, except a little rougher in patches due to his nascent fire affinity. A darker ash-brown fading to deep dark grey along the tops of arms, shoulders, forehead, back and tail. Where the dark grey fades deepest a faint iridescence is apparent, as if scales. On the top part of the left forearm there sits two faint scars, one lighter one darker, as if from a cut.
The tail extends as long as the body and grows thinner at the end, with a single-sided row of fleshy spades at the very end. In sight of others its always curled up beneath tabard, robe or cloak, out of sight.
The nails of the fingers are pointed, more close to claws, but often filed down to fit under gloves. Two single-prong horns with ridges curl upward and back on the head, extending slightly outward at the ends. On one there is a small shallow dent or cut closer to the base, long healed over. Sometimes an enchanted cap is worn to conceal those. Both horns and nails are a deeper brownish red in tone.
The hair is a deep crimson, seeming black unless light hits it to reveal the red. The sides of the head are kept shaved into a fuzz, leaving a row of dense short hair to hawk up from the base of the neck to the top of the forehead. The styles vary, but most often its simply combed a little forward.
The face is fair in appearance, despite some wear from life, with good cheekbones, a strong and pointed jaw, straight nose and slightly deep-set eyes. Pointed ears extend on the side of the head, minutely expressive in their motion, and the eyes are a metallic grey, not unlike mercury, with neither visible pupil nor sclera. With a broad enough smile it would show the teeth to be a bit more pointed than normal as well, though by no means could they be called fangs. A thin pale line runs lenghty across the neck on the front, slightly jagged on its edges. His normal voice tends to be low and on the quiet side, breaking up if trying to shout, and there's a raspiness to it. Smells vaguely of spice.

Mental and/or Social Description:
"Sarv the Hornbringer"
The knight is known to be quiet and solemn. He says little, but when he does speak it tends to be direct and to the point, seeing little use in wasting more words than is necessary. Outwardly he is stalwart in his duty to his current lord, as one should be when being a faithful servant and bodyguard, even to the point of running errands for them when necessary. The fact said lord doesn't like to show themselves to the public is but a trivial matter, and with the ever shifting metropolitan populace of the City, who can ever keep track of such things anyway?

"Aedryn"
The courier tends to fall into the sociable lane of people, picking up and keeping up conversations rather easily. A good quality to have in his field of work, if it weren’t for the fact he also tends to fall into the indifferent lane of people - whatever business others have is their business, he’s just there to fulfil a job and not get too involved. At least, while on the job. Off the clock he finds places to hang out and relax, even strike up chatter if feeling like it. It tends to combine into a rather easy-going, I-dont-want-trouble nature, with a particular lilt to the quick manner of speech. He doesn’t appear to work for any one place, but rather seems open to offering up services to a number of clients. Which is to say, at any given point there’s no real telling who the deliveries are for or from, just that there are some to be made. And, really, that’s a bit of courier-client confidentiality anyway, now isn’t it?

When one plays the game of masks its never truly certain where a lie ends and truth begins. In this, Èdan has realized, there's a wonderful in-between - the best lies are ones indistinguishable from truth, because they carry a bit of truth within them. A truth wrapped up in a pretty box with exactly those kinds of words written on it that people want to see (because people are always looking to see things), sure, but its better to boldly sell the elephant in the room as a horse than try to hide it under an all-too-small table. You'll be rid of the problem, make a tidy sum in the process and are out the door long before the prospective owner realizes horses aren't supposed to have that long of a face.
While his plans don't necessary extend very far into the future, he is quick on his feet, ready to improvise on the go, and should things still pan out wrong (as they usually do), he wont hesitate to burn a mask (and a few bridges) to rid himself of the weight. With as many masks and bridges burned, it leaves one to wonder if even Èdan himself knows who he is or used to be. The truth is uncertain as it is revealed to none and only in accidental glimpses, as even masks can crack with use. Whatever man he used to be is something buried so deep as to seem discarded and forgotten.. but it is also his anchor and tether to reality in the mind storm that is dozens upon of dozens lives lived and abandoned one after another.
The Èdan-that-was was proud and arrogant, taught to be ruthless but intelligent, to be composed and orderly. He knew elegance and power. The Èdan-that-is is indifferent but cautious, understands the value of kindness and favours as a tool, and is no stranger to neither temptation nor the burn of spite. He knows struggle and weakness.
Neither Èdan is wrong.
Goals: Survive, for starters. Regain influence, rework, rebuild, recover.
