This has been on my mind for a while, but the current description of the 'Insanity' trait is a little... tasteless, I think:
I was wondering if we could change it to something like this:
We have users with mental illness, so I feel like we could use a more respectful character trait for it too. Besides which, from what I've seen, at least, folks have been using 'Insanity' as 'mental illness' rather than/in addition to Spirit's OG WOO RANDOM TACOS! description anyway. This would also give players more room for nuance while staying within the description of the (new) trait.
Also on a semi-related note, suggesting the addition of the following trait:
Not sure how many trait points to set it at, and anyone with more familiarity with the topic feel free to add/take away from/rewrite the desc, but.
Oh, and now that I'm thinking about it, the trait 'Crippled' could... probably use a rewrite too:
vs
Insanity - gives a bonus of 3 trait points
Tacoooos! No, seriously - this is some form of insany far greater than any compulsion, phobia, or paranoia - they.. what's that?! No! Not the-!!*muffle*.. Seriously, again. You can't always tell the difference between Reality and .. not.. reality.. you - with the stuff... and the thing... that you do.

You have some form of mental illness that goes beyond simple compulsion or phobia. Your condition actively interferes with your ability to live a normal life. You can still function with it, but some things take much more effort and energy for you than they would for someone without it.

Neurodivergence - gives a bonus of 2? trait points
Your brain works a little differently. Maybe you have a harder time tuning into social cues and understanding sarcasm. Maybe your senses seem more or less sensitive compared to other people. You might have a hard time redirecting your focus, or getting your body to do what your brain tells it. Whatever it is, society wasn't exactly built with you in mind, and this often causes you problems.

Crippled - gives a bonus of 5 trait points
For some reason, you are missing a limb. Either an arm, or a leg. It's very difficult for you to walk and get around, and it's also difficult in general for you to get things done.

vs
Physically Disabled - gives a bonus of 5 trait points
You have a permanent physical disability that limits your functioning, mobility, etc. You may have one or more missing or amputated limbs; a spine injury or defect; or damage to your brain or nerves. It's difficult for you to walk and get around, and it's also difficult in general for you to get things done.
