Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

The first fight of a new tournament... Fiera couldn’t help it, she felt invigorated. The powerful lights of the arena, the roaring crowd, the ATTENTION all on her. It was great. She raised her hands to the audience, but she had to admit that it was also partially for her amphadron Ophelia. The amphibian glanced around and to her credit, she didn’t look nervous at all. Instead she seemed cool and collected, scanning her surroundings as she walked into the ring, her hands twitching as she got ready. Both her and Fiera were ready to go, even if the moss amphadron was as of yet untested. Still, Fiera had trained her to the best of her ability- if anyone could pull off this fight, it would be her pet. Fiera was a perfectionist, but if anything Ophelia was even more so with her sharp eyes. It was go time.

Privately, Nerius had to admit he may have half-assed this. No, that was giving it more credit than it was worth, there was no more than a quarter of a behind here. He hadn't even trained the pet himself, he'd been to busy with his sarane to pick up yet another pet in a short time. But given the man he'd hired was making somewhat of a business of it, he didn't seem to be the only one phoning it in.
The murp, Shale, hardly knew him, but the creatures ornery disposition meant he was very willing to use his horns and hooves. Still, he wasn't bloodthirsty the way a drake was, and as he was released into the Pit, it was strange to Nerius to have a creature not turn vicious at the sight of their foe. And their foes had arrived, an amphadron in the ring, and a vaguely familiar looking woman in the stands; it took him a second to realize she'd been the one with the firebreathing drake.
[Ready!]

Notes
- Ophelia cannot use Swim
- Shale can use all moves and abilities
- Ophelia goes first due to higher Dexterity

That alone made him suspect this would be a more well trained opponent. Then again, Nerius' own entry hadn't been an unbroken first tier brown either, yet here he was with something he hadn't put a lot of work into. It was impossible to tell so far, unbroken drakes had a distinctive temperament, but other species weren't so clear as to if they were well trained or not.
He'd find out soon enough, the amphadron had a bracelet, and would likely prove swifter than the lumbering murp. The sooner he got the creature moving, the better, Nerius supposed. "Horn strike," even in his short time with the murp, he already had learned Shale liked to bump his horns into things, and this move was right up his natural instinct ally. There wasn't anything else in the pit to target but the amphadron, so Shale lowered his head, and charged at the other creature.

Hmm. Now that she mentioned it, Fiera’s opponent looked... a little familiar. Had they met before? Or were they both just frequent fliers of the fighting pits? She drummed her painted nails along the railing thinking about it, but she couldn’t stay on that train of thought for long- it was pulling into station. That is, the fight was starting and she needed to pay attention. She had never faced a murp in the field of battle before, but they seemed pretty straightforward as far as animals went. It was just a fancy looking cow, right? She would have to keep an eye out for any surprises though... it seemed like nothing was “just” anything around these parts. As she thought though, the murp lowered its head and charged forward, right at Ophelia. She had the feeling the amphadron wouldn’t be able to take a direct hit from a creature that size, but maybe they could wash it in a different direction. “Ophelia, use a wave, right at its side!” She cried out. Her amphadron reacted immediately, pushing and pulling with her hands to summon a wave of water into existence.

Calculations
Ophelia uses Wave of Muck! Ophelia's Dexterity of 5 + 6 rolled by staff = 11 vs. the 3 Dexterity of Shale Ophelia will deal the most damage possible! Wave of Muck does 5 water and 5 earth damage = 10 damage 10 - 3 Resistance of Shale = 7 Shale's Stamina is now 5
Shale uses Horn Strike! Ophelia's Danger Sense activates, Shale misses his attack

Fiera breathes out, a small smile daring to creep across her face. Their gambit had worked! The muddy water had swept across the thundering murp’s side, knocking it off balance enough for Ophelia to be able to get out of the way of its incoming strike, strafing to the larger creature’s right. Even now the amphadron wasn’t taking her eyes off of her opponent, knowing that the metaphorical (and literal, considering the nature of her powers) tides could shift at any moment. Fiera didn’t want to let up now either- their opponent seemed a little shakier now, a little worn out by the force of Ophelia’s attack. She hadn’t won yet by a long shot and had now lost the element of surprise, but if they played their cards right they could still end up on top. “Go Ophelia, hit him with another wave!” She cried, and Ophelia began swirling her hands around once more, summoning another flood.

The murp did his best, but as Nerius expected, Shale wasn't able to land a hit before the amphadron could react first. What the creature did then was not something he'd have expected. He felt the hum of magic, unusual in the Fighting Pit, at least in his experience, and watched as the wall of murky water was summoned. There wasn't anything he could do of course, and the wave hammered into poor Shale, almost knocking him down, and disrupting his charge more than enough for the amphadron to get out of the way.
The charge hadn't worked, but Shale could still use those hard hooves of his. "Buck," Nerius commanded him, and the murp moved to try to attack. Nerius was somewhat doubtful the attack would land, he could feel magic again, and the amphadron was already in motion, for another wave, or something else perhaps. The murp would probably loose, but Nerius wasn't upset, observing the amphadron in action was far more interesting. [Shale uses Buck]

Calculations
Ophelia uses Wave of Muck! Ophelia's Dexterity of 5 + 7 rolled by staff = 12 vs. the 3 Dexterity of Shale Ophelia will deal the most damage possible! Wave of Muck does 5 water and 5 earth damage = 10 damage 10 - 3 Resistance of Shale = 7 Shale's Stamina is now -2
As long as the Murp tried his best, it wasn't necessarily a loss, was it? Either way, the Pit rush out to tend to the Murp.
Results Ophelia gains 2 levels and Fiera Ferella gains 5 pit prize points Shale gains 1 level and Nerius gains 3 pit prize points
