Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Their last fight hadn't gone very well, Shale had at least managed to get a hit in, but the laredo had been as sturdy as he was, and better trained, and had taken down the murp. So far Shale was not faring terribly well, but was at least doing better than his whiptail had, the murp could take a hit at least, and had even managed to win a fight. Nerius had no idea how Shale would do in the upcoming fight, their opponents hadn't arrived yet, and he had no idea what they'd be facing. Though so far, it had been more training than species that had determined the winner. There was nothing to do now but wait, and Nerius took his place in the stands, while Shale was released into the pit. He recognized it by now, and snorted, looking around for the foe he expected to be here. [Ready!] (Nerius: 9/20) (Shale: Lv: 6, 34/35 | Lyl: 1, 9/10)

Nadia hadn't enjoyed her Pit debut, if truth be told. The fact that she and Gauge had managed to scrape a win was besides the point - she'd still had to watch a creature pass out in battle, and that was not something she took lightly. Still, she felt she had a duty to at least show up at the matches. After missing two due to her own cowardice, she'd finally pulled it together enough to come back. She made a point not to focus too much on their opponents. Gauge stood where she needed to stand, and the woman retreated, making herself as small as possible. When would it be over? Could she cover her eyes until then? A Murp, good lord, those horns-- no. No, no. They would face whatever happened and it would be fine. Hopefully. No! Certainly. For goodness' sakes, when were they going to get the go-ahead? [Ready!]

It was time, then. Nadia's skin was itching - she wanted to get going, because the sooner it began, the sooner it would be over and they could rest before more of this chaos. What had possessed her, to agree to take this pasha through a tournament? Why had she suddenly decided that bravery was a crucial missing aspect of her personality? "Here we go, then," She breathed, straightened herself up, and turned her focus on her creature. "Gauge, kick!" And off the pasha went towards her opponent. They were graceful critters, in their way; she enjoyed the way they looked. Maybe she could do some more training with her for her owner, after the tournament was over. All she could do for the moment was wait and see what would become of her this time - whether it would be another flukey but still valid success, or a potentially dangerous or catastrophic failure. [Gauge uses Kick]

Nerius recognized the opponent's species, not due to it being one that was magically inclined, but simply that he'd owned one in the past. The pasha sarane looked basically identical to the one he'd once had, at least to Nerius, but that might just have gone to show how little he'd done with his. The owner he couldn't tell much about, she seemed to be doing her best to avoid any sort of attention. It happened, some people would give a greeting, but many liked to avoid socializing in these matches.
Nerius wasn't offended, and Shale didn't care in the least. He'd seen his foe, and snorted, pawing at the ground, ready to start. "Buck," Nerius commanded him before the murp could get ahead of himself. The horns may have been fearsome, but it was the hooves that were the more dangerous. Shale obeyed, and lashed out at the approaching pasha sarane with his hooves.
[Shale uses Buck]

Calculations
Gauge uses Kick! Staff rolled a 10! Gauge automatically hits! Gauge's Strength of 5 + 4 damage of Kick = 9 damage 9 - 3 Resistance of Shale = 6 Shale's Stamina is now 6
Shale uses Buck! Shale's Dexterity of 3 + 8 rolled by staff = 11 vs. 3 Dexterity of Gauge Shale will deal the most damage possible! Shale's Strength of 5 + 5 damage of Buck = 10 damage 10 - 4 Resistance of Gauge = 6 Gauge's Stamina is now 0!
The Pasha gets a good hit in, but then goes down to the mighty bucking of the Murp! The Pasha goes down and the Pit crew move to heal both animals
Results Shale gains 2 levels and Nerius gains 5 pit prize points Gauge gains 1 level and Nadia gains 3 pit prize points
