With as much work as she could put into mining at the moment, she started to dig the labradite out of the wall. At this point Kanellos had perked up a little and was sitting there in the cart, watching her every move. The shiny thing did indeed peak his interest, though he didn’t know what it was, that didn’t really matter. It looked exotic and that’s what mattered, right? Jack smiled at him and shook her head a little, she didn’t know what to do with him whenever it got to be time to train him, it would be a little muddy in the Park, so maybe she would have to put some boards down or something. That was the best option at this point, but she didn’t know what else to do either. Somehow or another he was going to have to get trained up, he had to show off at least three things during his show before he could grow and breed.

As she worked, she wondered what Kanellos’ pups would end up looking like. Of course it depended on who he was bred with, but she had a feeling Morgan might hit her up for something, they’d traded Houluh at one point, and so she had been promised pups from the one she had traded to them, but they hadn’t been too interested in the one they’d traded to her. So maybe Kanellos and Cozette would be good mates for at least one breeding. She couldn’t wait to see what they looked like, of course it depended on how the pup was around the Matronne, but she was sure they would get along just fine after awhile. Grinning a little, the woman worked on the stone some more, trying to get it out of the wall as Kanellos watched her from the cart. He was helping oh so much… Jack missed Goran and Grim, maybe the next trip she would bring one of them along.

Of course she wanted to know what the familiars were doing eventually, but she knew it was only a matter of time before the pup was done and could go get trained before his big show. It was going to be perfect, she knew, and she hoped the pups would have a little white like Kanellos did at the same time. The variation in their genetics was very interesting, though she didn’t know the specifics about it. She just knew it was more intense and time consuming than other breedings it seemed. Sure, they all had genetics, but Houluh had a little bit… different, it seemed. She glanced over at Kanellos and wondered what his parents would have looked like had he had them. He was created by the Labs of course, and that didn’t matter at the moment no matter what. As long as he had what he had, then things would be fine.

It didn’t matter what the pups looked like really, at the end of it all and everything, as long as the pups were healthy and bright, then things would be perfect. Kanellos had an interesting viewpoint on things though, so hopefully that wouldn’t pass down to the pups. She smiled at him and then turned back and frowned at the stone, hoping that things would work out eventually. There had to be something good with it all, and the woman smiled a little as she worked. Hopefully things would be fine and all that, and the woman pushed her hair back a little to see things more clearly. Wondering all the things that happened and all that, she hoped that things would be alright at the same time. This stone was giving her some issues at this point, but that was fine, she would get it out no matter what and then hopefully she could do something with it in the future.

All she knew was that things would be fine at the same time. Of course she wanted the stone, but if it didn’t come out, then… well, things would be alright, she had some of them at home and all that, but she just wanted more of it. It wasn’t a coveting thing, not at all, she wanted to work with them, but the Workshop still wasn’t open. She didn’t know what was going on, but that would hopefully work itself out eventually, she just wasn’t going to hold her breath. Jack glanced back at the pup and wondered what to do with things, wondering if he was ready to be trained up yet, but she knew that was a no. Of course she could train him more than what she was already thinking of, but that wasn’t going to work out too well at the same time she figured. Jack sighed a little and let the pickax slump down a little before she swung it again at the wall.

The labradite wasn’t coming out very easily, and she again wished she had Goran or Grim with her. Sighing a little, the woman dug it out with the pickax over the course of about thirty minutes. She was done with it all and wished she could head home, but that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. There was more to do and she wanted to make sure she could train the pup up when they got out, though it would probably be the next day. Giving a little yawn, she turned the stone over in her hands as she chewed on some jerky and drank some water next to the sleeping pup. How he had managed to sleep through all that, she didn’t know, but sooner or later he would wake up and all that, no matter what. As long as she was wondering what was going on though, she wouldn’t be working, which was a bad thing.

Jack really wanted the stone and she had gotten it. It was great so far, and she put it into the cart with the sleeping pup. Patting him gently on the back as he slept, she smiled a little and then got up to work on the wall some more. She didn’t know what else she would find, if anything, and that was fine, just having some quality time with Kanellos was good enough for her at this point. As she swung the pickax at the wall, she realized if she wanted to let him sleep, she should probably dig in the ground or something at this point, but it was too late, and the pickax clanged against the wall. She winced and glanced at the pup, but breathed a sigh of relief when all he did was sigh and roll over a little. As she breathed a sigh of relief, she put the pickax in the cart again and dug out the shovel, ready to get to work again as time flew by.

At least she had something to do though, she figured with a little smile on her face as she dug away at the floor of the mines. It gave her something to do, mining did, and it let her figure out what she was going to do with her puppies at the same time. Hopefully she had some idea of what to do with them eventually, she had a couple of new puppies, one she had turned in a token for, and the other had been born from Luna. She needed to work on them too, both Fae and Red. Already she had show names for them, just like all the others, it hadn’t taken too long for it either, which was nice at the same time. Jack grinned a little and shook her head, wondering what she was going to do when Kanellos was done and had his Patronne title? That was the real question.

It was probably a good thing the pup was sleeping, she knew he would be horrified at the amount of dirt she was moving in the mines at this point. She grinned a little, unsure of what she should do for now, but sure she needed to do something. It was good to see what she could find, that was certain and all that, but she didn't know what to do about Kanellos at this point. He didn't like getting dirty, which was hard enough, but she wasn't sure what else to do for the moment about it. Maybe she could train it out of him, but she really doubted it right now, it just didn't make much sense to her for a pup to not like getting dirty though, she figured that came with the territory. Giving a shrug, she heaved another shovelful of dirt out of the ground and something shiny tumbled to the floor of the mines.

Jack thought she saw a flash of blue out of the corner of her eye as she moved the dirt, and she smiled a little as she brushed it off a bit. It was a blue topaz or Kanellos was her uncle! She grinned wider and pushed her hair back before brushing the last of the dirt off of it and putting it into the cart with the labradite. She didn't know what else to do about it at the moment, but she was sure the pup would be horrified if he saw the amount of dirt that was moving around him. She had to do it though, or else she didn't know what was going to happen. All she knew was that things needed to change with the pup eventually, and that was perfectly fine. Smiling a little, she patted him on the side as he slept, and then turned back to work some more.

Well, she had to keep digging, even if it meant driving herself absolutely up the wall. She smiled a little and continued to work until the pup started to whine in his sleep. Jack yawned a little and put her stuff away, covering her mouth a bit in order to be polite for honestly no one at all at this point, but that didn't matter, it was still manners. She stretched out and then climbed into the cart, closed the door behind her, and snuggled up to the pup after making sure she wasn't dirty enough to give him a fit when he woke up. She had also brought in the fireless torch, and she hoped that it would keep them warm as well. Smiling sleepily, she slowly drifted off to the sleep as she cuddled with the Houluh, wondering what he could possibly be dreaming of at the moment to upset him so.

Jack and Kanellos were sleeping in the cart, wondering what was going to happen to them if someone came across them sometime in the mines, but she doubted that would happen. While she didn't know what to do when she was sleeping, it bothered her that she slept when she could be working. It had to be dark outside though, it was so easy to fall out of routine in the darkness of the mines. Sighing in her sleep, she began to stir when she heard the pup whimper a little. He was finally waking up, and she cracked an eyelid to see what was going on with the pup. Kanellos pawed at the door, and she sighed and stretched as she sat up, scratching the back of her head while she opened the door a moment later, the pup jumped out and did his business. Apparently it had been awhile.

Doing her own thing for a moment, she turned and stretched out and looked at the pup in amazement as he hopped back into the cart and shook off his paws a little to get the dirt off of them. Huh, well apparently he was still a little iffy on getting dirty, but he wasn't freaking out entirely as he had done earlier with everything. All Jack knew was that things weren't going to go well if she couldn't figure it out, but until then she was sure something good would happen. A few glimmers showed up in the ground and she eagerly began to dig. But how did the glimmers happen, anyway? She hadn't overlooked anything, she knew that much, something big must have come by. Stopping and staring at the pup, she wondered if he smelled anything, but there was no way for her to be sure at this point.
