A somewhat minor suggestion, but too big for the mini thread, I think. As per the "Skills for Sentient Pets" rules, characters are allowed to teach their Sentient+ pets their native language as if they had Foreign Language (rank 2) in said language. But what if you want to teach your Sentient+ pet how to read and/or write your native language? Characters can gain Literacy, but as the rules are currently written, this can't be used to teach your pet (as your pet considers your character's native language to be a foreign one, and while there is a Foreign Script, your character won't have that for their native language, because that's what Literacy is for). So my suggestion is, have a similar rule to "characters are allowed to teach their Sentient+ pets their native language as if they had Foreign Language (rank 2) in said language" in place for characters with Literacy. For example: Thoughts? EDIT: I looked at the full thread again and I noticed there is a section on Literacy, but I do feel this still needs clarification. For instance, what counts as a non-Draconic's "first language"? Would that be whatever typical character language (Common, etc.) they're taught first? Is it a species-specific language and therefore would still require a new rule as above in order to be taught its owner-companion's native language?

A Draconic's native language is always Draconic.
Is this the clarification you're requesting or is there something else I'm missing? :3

I guess the clarification I'm looking for would be more along the lines of
but Ashe and Fiera were kind enough to explain that to me. Though, if you still wanted to tweak the description, I don't think there would be any harm~

Ok, I'd be happy to tweak to be a little more clear. Can't hurt!
I'll consider this suggestion accepted and lock this thread.
ETA: This is the new wording.
