Badrani had spent quite a few months living primarily out at the Canyon of Eterra before she finally felt comfortable enough to return to the Labs City. It felt quite a bit easier for her to hide out at the relatively safe feeling canyon; whereas though the Labs City had laws about attacks, she still didn't know whether or not she'd be caught and extracted if she didn't keep her head down. It was practically summer by the time that she returned to her small plot of land and began setting up- and by the time she'd gotten critters to complete the 'don't look at me I'm just another beast tamer' facade, she felt much more comfortable trying to integrate in her own 'head still quite low' sort of way into the society.
It would be safer that way, she thought. So as soon as she can she sends word to her beloved Shahrazad to meet her in the City for a little adventure- apparently the Labs City dealt with a lot of it's societal issues by allowing the people living there to set up 'quests'. Surely this would be a good way for a retired elder like herself to keep sharp?[1]

Shahrazad had a much better time finding this 'quest board' than she did. One look at the map that Badrani had managed to pick up (how would she had found out where anything was otherwise, with a city this large!?), Sharazad had a decent idea of how to figure out the streets (something that Badrani was still quite unpolished at). The pair really hadn't known what to expect with this thing, really. They both looked at each other, and then the little quest board, and then at one another again.
"Is this really...?" Badrani asks, trailing off towards the end.
"Yes, I think so."
"It doesn't look like much..."
"Hnn..." Shahrazad answers, voice soft.
Badrani steps forward. She hardly knew how to read common, but she'd heard that there was a kiosk around here to help if she needed it, and though that would be hard to find it did make her feel better. "We need something easy." She decides as she peruses the slips.

She had quite a bit of difficulty, so she skimmed over as many as she could- only picking up the ones that looked shorter, at least. In common, that meant simpler, right? She could pick up a few words on one of them- more than normal at least. "Gar-den... Pests. Run? No... Fight?" She turns it over towards Shahrazad, who squints at it and then shrugs. She doesn't know any more than what Badrani had been able to pick up. They move over to the kiosk, and though Shahrazad gets plenty of extra glances, Badrani is given the information she needs.
It takes very little time at all to get to the Garden in question, and Badrani finds herself quite enamored with the idea of them- at least before she sees the first of the large insect-like critters in question. She follows it's little bumbling flight with her gaze, and tilts her head.
"This is all?" She muses. They were quite... Large. But they were slow-moving, unlike locusts.

The trouble was, that there were many. Badrani had not necessarily come prepared- she had no idea what exactly to do in order to kill so many. The pair of them do have some fun chasing some of the slower of the bugs, and Badrani even kills a few more than Shahrazad manages. She couldn't help but find it quite funny that the typically prim and proper Shahrazad was behaving much like a whelp again, chasing the bugs (and eating a few by accident in the process, Badrani pretended like she didn't notice). However, their little foray into chasing bugs wasn't really working. There were far too many to take on like that.
"What are we going to do, Sha? I don't think we're going to be able to succeed like this." Badrani worries. It is starting to get quite dark... Not that they started bright and early in the morning or anything.

The pair are stumped for a moment, but it had been a fun endeavor. The attempt most certainly was not wasted, but Badrani was a little sad to not be able to rid this Garden of the pests. Especially since it seemed like the individual needed help so badly. Badrani turned wistfully towards the garden's gate- when Shahrazad calls out "Wait! I've got an idea!" Badrani turns with her head tilted. Whenever Shahrazad told her about the plan, Badrani couldn't believe that Shahrazad had thought of it.
"Are you sure you can call a sandstorm that big?" The ssashirk questions.
"I'd like to try." Shahrazad decides. Badrani moves just outside of the gate, while the Lozuiyesh makes her attempt. The ssashirk finds herself quite amazed whenever a great sandstorm is whipped up within moments- scouring the bugs away from the garden (and doing... some amount of damage in the process- woops!)
They had a lot to explain tomorrow, didn't they? At least they got rid of the bugs!
