With how successful the last few Quests that Badrani had taken on had been, she had nearly forgotten about the nearly failed quest that she had Shahrazad had taken on in the beginning of her living in the city. Upon Shahrazad's next visit to the City (Badrani had taken a walk out to the edge to greet her upon her having traveled there) to see Badrani, she insisted that they take another quest together. Shahrazad always seemed interested in what sorts of things that people would ask others to help with, and Badrani liked to think that taking quests helped to keep her profile low, even while she wasn't the best Beast Keeper. It was quite quick that they'd gotten to the quest board, seeing as it was quite deep in the 'cold' season at that time. Badrani wrung her hands a little along the way, smiling at Shahrazad. "They're saying that the hard Manaah might fall soon." She explained.[1]

Sadly for Badrani, there wasn't any big events going on this month. Apparently the soft-skins celebrated light during this month (though she had noted that soft-skins tended to have some holiday rituals at all points in the year, though this month of cold seemed to be more important than others) and she had been hoping that there would be something that she'd be able to do that was like the last one they had done. However, there were no strange cult members in matching coats or any large flyers this time around. In fact, the board was pretty scarce, save for a single little hand-written slip that was quite difficult for the Ssashirk to decipher.
She had been getting better at deciphering hand-writing in the months that she'd been here, but she still wasn't good at it. "Winter... Plants... Cookies?" She says some words out loud as she goes. Shahrazad watches her intently.

Badrani reads the note another time after she finishes to try to make heads or tails of it. She even reads it out loud to the best of her ability. Then, it clicks a little better. "There is... An Elder in a shop. I think she needs help making cookies?" It read quite oddly. She looked down at her own hands. Hers were still quite deft- so this Elder must either be infirmed or very, very old.
"It is the only one here, so I think we should take it." Shahrazad says. "I do want to see what all the fuss is about. Her voice takes a request-making tone to it at that.
Badrani nods in response, and checks the address on the paper. "I've seen this shop." She mentions. "It isn't far from here." At this, they begin to make their way there, and true to her word it is not at all too many blocks away.

Shahrazad looks a little sad whenever the door is in sight. "It looks too small for me..." She murmurs.
"There is a side door not too far away, I'm sure she'll allow it." Badrani answers, patting Shahrazad on the shoulder once to quell her momentary sadness. "The Elder I've seen watering the flowers out here seems kindly. Though you may not be able to help. I don't know what the 'cookies' are but it sounds like something that requires small hands..." She explains, before walking up to the door to rap her scaled knuckles against it gently. The door is opened not too long later, after the elder individual is able to get to the door.
Badrani finds herself a little embarrassed and stunned right away. This would be one of her first conversations at someone else's abode...
Shahrazad speaks up for her. "We're here to help you 'bake cookies'." She says, and then a little anxiously- she tries a 'smile' as she has seen Badrani do before. All of her teeth are on display in a momentary flash.

Of course the Elder was happy to have the extra hands, though Shahrazad soon enough found out that she was indeed not suited for 'baking'. She watches instead as the Elder shows Badrani how to make them and gives her pointers. Badrani was practically sweating bullets. The Elder was indeed quite a bit older than she was- and of course about half-way through the baking she was regaled with a War Story from the Elder Battle-Lady. It made Badrani shiver when she put the information together that this individual had once participated in not just a war on the Labs-City Turf, but a Civil War. That certainly made things different.
Elders were incredibly lucky- especially the Battle-Worn.
They made Several Batches of Cookies while Badrani mostly just sat and listened. She felt very comfortable to listen instead of speaking, and of course Shahrazad was loving all of the stories much more than even Badrani was. After a few hours, both of them were sent home with cookies for theirselves as well.
