It was strange to be out so much again, she didn't know what to do with things just yet though. Glancing down at the little Pachee strolling next to her, all she could do was smile though, she didn't know what the plan was. Who was she meeting again? Silver right? Scratching the back of her head a little, she shook her head, she wasn't sure if this was the best idea, but it was an idea so she was going to roll with it. "Whatcha think girl, ready to see what this is all about?" she asked the little Pachee with a smile. Softly glanced up at her and beamed with her eyes at the woman. Ah, fair enough she figured as she tapped the berries in the pouch at her hip. She figured she would bring them along, it wasn't like it was really hurting her stock, and she needed to hit up the store anyway soon.
Ah, the Breeding Center, it was right ahead of them she saw, and she reached the door and glanced down the road to see if anyone was coming.

Apparently Silver had quite a soft spot for Pachee lately, as they had returned to the breeding centre a few times in quick succession. Enthusiasm was surely contagious, and the more of them they bred the more ideas they had for other pairings.
This time around, they were meeting with an old friend, Jack. Well, someone who had once been their friend, anyway. They hadn't seen one another in a long time and Silver couldn't quite remember that much about her. Perhaps that was for the best, and they could relearn how to be friends from scratch. She didn't seem to be holding any long standing grudges against them, at least.
With Diamond tucked under one arm and Quin riding shotgun, Silver approached the breeding centre. They were more or less on time this time, which was a bit of an oddity for them. As they approached the front doors, they could see someone standing there? They used their free hand to wave a greeting, hoping that they were actually waving at the right person.

Oh, it looked like Silver coming. Giving a little smile, she raised a hand in greeting as well and then nodded a bit, "Hey, how's it going?" Softly nuzzled up to her a little and beamed up at the woman who was with her, she didn't know what was going on, but she seemed nervous, so the little Pachee was trying to cheer her up a bit. Jack gave a quick smile and then reached for the door, "After you?"
Was she... trying too hard? She didn't know... "Mmm.... so I haven't been out much for awhile, sorry if I'm a bit... off I guess?" she apologized with a bit of a grimace. Eh, this would be alright she figured as she glanced down and then opened the door a little. It was still fairly cold outside and she didn't want to hang out in the cold air longer than she necessarily needed to.

"Well, thank you," Silver said with a little nod. It was said in an almost automatic way, like they were reading it from a script. They knew that it was rude not to answer a 'how are you' question but they also didn't want to spend too much time thinking about it.
"Thanks," they said, stepping inside. They kept a tight grip on Diamond, lest he escape and create havoc in the breeding centre. They tended to look down on that sort of thing.
"Oh, that's, ah, that's okay." They said. It was true that they hadn't seen one another in a while, but it seemed like Jack had been spending a lot of time alone lately. They wanted to offer to help her, but they weren't sure how.
"If you'd like we ah, don't have to talk much, that's okay," they explained. They did want to hear more about how she was doing, but they didn't want her to feel pressured either. They hoped they said the right thing.

It looked like she wasn't the only one not used to being around people for awhile, though Silver always seemed a little stressed around other people anyway. Giving a little smile, she nodded, "I appreciate the thought at least. Doesn't hurt to get out again though." Jack pushed the door a little wider and passed through after Silver, she seemed to need a little more room than Silver did, they were pretty slight in her eyes at least.
Softly patted her leg a little and Jack gave a little chuckle, "I brought the berries though, so that's good right?" She really needed to hit up the store again, which was fine, she wanted to go anyway, she just wasn't sure on the timing as of yet. There was a lot she needed to get done, it just wasn't happening, which was a shame. Ah well, she figured as she shifted, heading over to the counter and sliding a couple of forms over so they could both fill them out.

"That's good," Silver said with a nod. They often found it tough to 'get out' themselves, usually they spent a long without seeing anyone they knew intentionally. They had planned to get better about it, but it never seemed to work out. That was something Pachee were good for, they thought. People often wanted to pair up with others to breed Pachee, lest all of their own ones end up related.
Silver was glad that Jack had remembered the berries. If they were honest, they couldn't remember if they were supposed to be the one to bring them or not. They really should get some of their own, and not mooch off of their friends. Hopefully they wouldn't forget next time.
Diamond started playing with the buckle of Silver's bag while they struggled to use their free hand to fill out the forms. He liked the way the shiny metal felt on his paws. Strange and cold. Not at all like what he was used to playing with.

Eventually she would get a little less awkward right? Jack sighed and quickly jotted a few things onto the form and gave it back to the attendant. Well, it could be worse she figured as she leaned against the counter and glanced over at Silver. With any luck the Pachee would be quick to breed and then they could take off after a moment or two. That was the hope, she figured, but who knew how things were going to go.
Still though, she wasn't sure what all she wanted to do at the moment, did she want to be out a little longer or just go home when this was finished? Jack frowned a little and shook her head before glancing over at Silver again. No words came to mind so she just smiled a little and waited for them to finish up their form as well. Softly nuzzled up to her leg a little and Jack patted her on the head, "Almost time kiddo, and we'll get home okay?"

Silver finished their part of the forms just in time for Diamond to start rubbing his face on their hands, knocking the pen over onto the counter. Well, they didn't need it anymore, so that was fine.
"Ah, you want to play, don't you?" Silver cooed at Diamond. The Pachee looked up at him with its bright blue eyes and sqished his tail slowly back and forth. It was clear that he was very bored just hanging there in their arms and he wanted to do something else. Silver wrinkled up their face briefly, feeling a bit bad about potentially upsetting him.
"Oh, it's ok, we can go meet a new friend now, would you like that?" Silver asked in a gentle voice. It was strange how, when they were talking to the Pachee, they were much more certain and didn't stumble through their words as much.
"Are you, ah, are you ready?" Silver asked, looking back up at Jack. They gestured as if asking her to lead the way when she was ready to go to their room.

"Oh yeah, sure thing," Jack said with a quick little smile. Softly nuzzled up to her leg a little and looked up at her with soulful eyes. The woman gave her a little half smile and glanced over at Silver. The Pachee male they had brought was pretty cute at least, and it was always interesting to see Silver interact with their animals, she liked watching the way things were handled. It was strange how people could be so different in some ways but so alike in others.
The woman pushed off of the counter and headed down the hall, glancing behind to make sure Silver was coming as well, before opening up the door to their room and gesturing for Silver to head in first. She left Softly hop out of her arms and onto the floor, the little Pachee shook her fur and fluttered her wings a little as she looked sweetly over at the male.

Silver adjsuted their grip on Diamond since he had wiggled a lot since they started. Then they promptly followed after Jack as she led the way to the room for their Pachee. The almost absurdly clean breeding centre was familiar to them after all the time they spent there, but it still felt a bit weird to them. It was very different from the chaos of a garden where the Pachee usually roamed.
"Thank you," Silver said with a nod. Jack opened the door for them and Diamond, and just in time too. The spirited white Pachee finally wriggled free of their grasp and plopped down safely onto the floor. Silver sighed in a knowing way, as if they had expected it to happen all along. Then the male looked over at his new lady friend. The fur on his mane puffed up bit. Was he more nervous, or excited? It was hard to tell, really.
