Quest 23: First Completion Leafy had been slacking on her quest completion rate lately. She decided that she would visit the quest board and see what it had to offer her. Joining her on this expedition would be Perry, a baby Lerrel that she had bred. When she got to the quest board, she saw a notice that looked like it could be an easy, quick job. One that was perfectly suitable to help her get back into the swing of things. She read the notice over carefully and it described the need for someone to help deal with bugs eating prized berries. Deciding that the writer seemed rather desperate and having the time to spare, Leafy headed over to help. The area she was meant to head towards turned out to be Nature’s Bounty. She had been here before, familiar with the store as a supply store for berries that aided in the breeding of certain species. (Perry 0 1/5, 5 1/5) 1

She entered the shop eagerly, excited to be on a quest once again. She carried Perry along with her, the small Lerrel curious about the shop and all its wares.
"Hello, I read your note on the quest board. I would like to be of assistance if you still need the help?" Leafy glanced around the shop, not wanting to work with anyone else if they had already taken the quest. The shopkeeper seemed quite grateful for the help and assured her that it was only her present within the shop. She followed Turner as he led her over towards the contaminated plants.
"We've had these berry bushes infected with some sort of strange pest. I don't have the time to figure out how to control them, are you able to help me with this?"
Leafy agreed immediately. She knew that many of the customers, including herself, relied on these berries.

"Sure, I'd be happy to help." She moved in closer to one of the berry bushes and examined it, trying to determine what exactly the problem was. Perry toddled along with her, eager to be a part of the fun. Leafy raised one of the leaves close to Perry, allowing the Lerrel to have a better look. Maybe he would be able to do something with the bugs. Perry sniffed around at the plant, wondering where these bugs could possibly be. After sniffing around for a little bit, he came across a bug that seemed to be hiding underneath the bottom of one of the leaves. He darted out his tongue, pressing it against the leaf and swiping up and down, clearing it completely of the pests that were hiding there.
“I guess that’s one way of dealing with them,” Leafy remarked. She looked at the leaf closely, trying to see if there were any stragglers.

There seemed to be none left. And Perry seemed to have a pretty sound strategy for dealing with the pests. She allowed him to work and pretty soon, he had cleaned the entire plant of the small bugs. Leafy then moved him onto the next plant allowing him to deal with that one buy himself. He made quick work of the plant and while he was busy dealing with it, Leafy decided to tackle one of the others on her own. She had been provided with a few tools that could help her. She had been provided with a few tools that could help her. She grabbed a spray bottle and filled it with water, intending to wash the leaves free of insects. She sprayed and wiped at the leaves, repelling the tiny pests away from the leaves. Before they could escape, Perry grabbed and ate as many as he could.

They soon had a steady rhythm going with Leafy spraying the plants down with water and chasing them in range of where Perry could grab them. She worried that the Lerrel was going to grow full, but the insects were rather tiny and the baby had a ravenous appetite. Before long, Leafy had run out of plants to cleanse. She checked around each of the leaves, wanting to be sure that they hadn't missed any. When it came to pests, if you left a few alive, it wasn't long before they would cause another invasion.
Once she was sure that the pests were gone from the plants, she grabbed Perry and headed back to check in with Turner. The young Lerrel seemed rather pleased with himself for how he had helped with the cleanup. She hoped that she had helped with the trouble and hopefully that meant the berries would be safe and soon available for people to buy.
