The stallion finishes off his apple quickly, and then Renathan started to work him through the other behaviors they already knew so far. He wanted to train a few more small things today before needing to come back tomorrow; and that was going to take quite a bit of work. He wanted to finish the stallion's training eventually. After going through the jumping commands, the general bridle knowledge, and the backing-up command. After a little while, it was time again! Renathan gently tugs back on the reins, to make the stallion stop hopefully. The stallion does stop, and goes to move again- at this Renathan pulls the reins back again, stopping the stallion completely. There we go, Renathan thought, that was the correct movement for this animal. Renathan leans forward again and gives him another small slice of crisp pink apple yet again as a treat. They were making some progress, and Renathan was glad.

The stallion takes the small crisp pink apple piece quickly and chews on it, appearing to ruminate thoughtfully on the idea of the new command. Renathan was beginning to get the stallion used to training new things even on the mount aspects, with tack on. He knew that the stallion would understand the basic movements of each command, and that they may even be useful when tack was missing, perhaps? Renathan allows the stallion to eat his apple piece before starting him up again. The same ideas were going to continue to be used as earlier to really get this training into the stallion's mind. He worked the stallion through the other commands yet again, and this time in the middle of said commands, he pulled back on the reins again- and the stallion stopped in his tracks. Renathan waited for just a moment to see if he would move again, and he was quite glad to see that he was not!

Renathan was quite pleased with this solid show of progress, so he leans forward to give the creature yet another small piece of crisp pink apple as a treat for doing a good job. The stallion took to this with relish, and Renathan was well pleased. Renathan was already beginning to think of the next piece of training they would work on, since the stallion seemed to take to training about like he took to water. The stallion finishes his treat quickly, and Renathan works him through his commands some more, continuing to treat the stallion for the stopping trick each time it was performed. Soon, Renathan was beginning to drop the treats entirely, the stopping behavior was beginning to mix with the other behaviors and simply become part of the routine that they were beginning to have. Renathan was soon pleased with the stallion's grasp on the stop behavior. What would be next?

Renathan had wound up having to go home that day after training stop; he'd gotten a message from a client via a messenger that was not his own that he would be needed for a mending on a piece he had made when he first started crafting jewelry. He rode the equillion there of course, since he was already there. He'd left the stallion tied while he quickly but expertly fixed the piece of jewelry; it was a good thing that he typically kept small amount of metals on him after all! After that, the pair went back home, where Renathan cared for all of his creatures and cooked himself a nice meal and prepared a nice bowl of seeds and fruit for his jibiji. That night, Shy Guy received his usual mix of plants, fruits, and a single chicken- which was especially relished. The next day, as per the usual on training days; Renathan performed the spell that would allow for him and his familiar to be separated for a while.

After performing the spell, Renathan carefully tends to his beloved jibiji, letting her out into the larger area that he has made for her during the day with lots of enrichment. He made sure to transfer her to the smaller cage at night so that she couldn't hurt herself during the dark hours. Renathan then makes his way out of the house after a quick breakfast, and brings his usual training supplies, with newly cut apples in his pouch for the equillion. The stallion is already up and waiting at the door when he opens the door to the stable. Renathan leads him out and they make their way to the training field before the sun is even up. Renathan wanted to train a few more things today, but he wanted to make sure that his beloved jibiji wouldn't get hurt in the meantime anyway- he never knew completely how the spell worked after all.

Renathan is quite happy to be going on the walk to the training area with the stallion. The creature is docile and calm, and that was indeed enjoyable to be around. He sometimes wondered if the stallion wasn't lonely sometimes, whenever he wasn't around. Sure, he had a heard of equillion to stay with, some of which were the children of his younger body; but none were around his age. Renathan had long sense separated his horselike gallors, and the galabex from Shy Guy since he had began eating meat and such. He didn't trust him not to try to take a bite out of the non-equillions, not that he thought he would or anything, but well, he might! Renathan wondered if getting him a mare might be a good idea. He wasn't sure where to pick one up that was suitable for him though. He was a very strange equillion specimen, and not just any mare would be the same worth as him.

Renathan ruminated on the idea of somehow getting the stallion a mate. It was frustrating that the general ways of picking up new custom creatures were all but closed to him; hardly any of the shops were active at the moment, and he knew that most of them did not even dabble with equillion anymore anyway. However, he was really beginning to envision a mare for him; this one a flier instead of a swimmer- to juxtapose with his form. Maybe not a pure equillion this time, but maybe not a tainted either? It would be a waste not to utilize a breed that had the most elemental prowess, but then again, the chances of him actually breeding the two were slim since he didn't really need more foals running around anyway. The stallion nudges him once they make it to the training grounds, pushing his muzzle into his shoulder to guide him into the park's open gate.

Already the stallion has been taking care of Renathan in the same way that Renathan cared for him at times. Renathan remembers, in particular, a certain trip to the mansion where he had fallen asleep for some reason, and the stallion had cared for him incredibly easily, making sure that he was safe and secure until he woke up. Renathan quickly and carefully pets the equillion on the nose to thank him for reminding him, and then the pair walked through the park gate. Renathan was already planning on what to train him today, but that haunting idea of an equillion mare for Shy Guy was still flitting through his mind on a pair of wings. A dark earthy brown adorning her, with flashes of white. Renathan and the equillion walk forward and toward the coral that he had set up for these training sessions that they often have. Renathan planned to do more mount training, and maybe train the other location.

The morning sky was still very dark and still; shimmering stars shining about overhead. Renathan opens the door to the coral to lead the bay equillion into it. The equillion gave him no trouble as it danced into the enclosure, it's hooves barely touching the grass along the ground it seemed. All pures were like that, almost imperceptibly delicate, even the strong ones like Shy Guy. Renathan places his fingers in the pure's mane and pets through it carefully. He banishes the idea of picking Shy Guy a mate up from his mind for a moment, he had to keep on track, even if it would be a nice surprise for Shy Guy. How did he know that Shy Guy would even take to a mare anyway? He seemed quite picky about his mares, he'd only ever seen him with one mare, and he'd never even met the mare's owner.

Renathan makes sure that all the tack on the equillion is done up nicely before he decides what they were going to work on first today. He decides after a moment or two of savoring the crisp morning air and the smell of the sweetgrass that grew here that they were going to work on an easy enough piece of training this morning; the idea was the 'go' command. He wanted to be able to make the stallion go without using the reins, just in case they had issues at one point or another. Renathan gives the stallion a quick pet on his muzzle and then jumps up into the saddle; the stallion using his body at the same time to help Renathan up. They were beginning to get quite good at this working together aspect; and that was calming to be honest. Renathan was quiet for a moment, carefully petting the stallion behind the ears.

Renathan vaguely wondered how much training people had previously done with individual creatures. He was unsure exactly how well trained his equillion was in comparison to others' equillions in the past. He secretly kind of wanted Shy Guy to be the most well trained equillion in the entire lot. Renathan pets the stallion's mane and then steadies himself on the saddle before squeezing the bay creature's sides just a bit. The stallion hadn't felt any pulling on the reins, so he doesn't back up. Instead, he slips an ear back in confusion, and then starts forward slowly. Yes, that was it, that was what Renathan wanted. The creature stops as quickly as he started, since he wasn't being guided by the bridle commands, but that had been enough for Renathan to have a decent start! The mammalian brings his hand across and leans forward, a piece of crisp pink apple slice in his hand to give the stallion a treat for his good job.

The stallion of course takes the first treat of the day quickly and with particular relish. The stallion was really beginning to take well to this, even better than Renathan could have ever had hoped. Renathan waits until the creature is finished with his crisp pink apple treat. Renathan had been looking into choosing more variety of treats for the creature for future work, but he was not sure what to do about it at the moment. He had been researching about other options of safe for equillion food items, but it was a bit of a difficulty. The information that he had was sometimes shoddy at best; not much information had been given out with any specificity. Everything was careful test and check; which was dangerous with living animals. As soon as the stallion finished his treat, Renathan resigned to continue. He gently pets the stallion's mane and then gives him a quick squeeze on the sides.

The stallion starts up, moving forward a few more steps; and then Renathan gives him a pet on the shoulder, and then squeezes the equillion's sides once more. The stallion is prodded a little farther, but before he can stop, Renathan squeezes again, urging him onward. The bay stallion starts up, and begins walking forward. Renathan was pleased! Renathan ordered a stop by picking up the reins and pulling back on them softly. Then he gave the creature a piece of apple giddily. Yes, this was working very well right now! Renathan was used to success during training, but this was a little exciting and a bit faster than usual it seemed. Renathan waits until the stallion is finished eating his treat of a crisp pink apple slice to continue with the training. Gently squeezing the stallion's sides in order to get him to go. The stallion starts up walking forward yet again, like clockwork.

The stallion was moving forward at Renathan's command! Renathan was happy to see the progress that they had made. He stops the equillion yet again using the previously-worked on command, and then gave the creature another treat in the form of the crisp pink apple. It does not take the stallion long to devour his treat. Afterwards, Renathan begins working him through some other commands to start; so that they could incorporate this into their typical training. He starts the string of commands with a squeeze to tell the stallion to go; and then he leads him around the paddock with the bridle commands, pushing him to leap over some rocks and then up on top of one of the rocks. The stallion's balance was particularly excellent, Renathan had always wondered why that was. Then, he pulled the reins gently to let him know to stop. At this, he then squeezed the stallion's sides again.

The stallion began walking forward yet again, as perfectly as Renathan could have ever asked! Renathan waits for him to walk for a few moments before he stops him, and gives him the coveted treat of a pink apple slice, all crisp and pretty small. The stallion simply eats it up, happy to have it! Renathan watches the stallion eat, and then looks up at the sky. Time hadn't passed too long, the sun still wasn't quite up yet, though he was beginning to see the faintest bit of light purple coming up over the horizon in one small corner of the sky. The stars were still out full-force. Renathan then re-focuses back on the equillion. He runs Shy Guy through his commands yet again, incorporating the 'go' squeezing command into the rest of the behaviors to normalize it. It was almost amazing how quickly a creature learned, when they were pushed to it. He was finally happy with the progress.
