They had worked on some very important behaviors generally regarded as good to train a pet to be polite enough to keep at home, or a carnivore with other creatures, and of course Morgan had taught him a way to get away from danger and a way to heal himself, luckily. Morgan would have to check in a few days to make sure that it was properly trained, of course. Morgan always made sure that the training 'stuck' after doing it, just in case the creature was having a hard time with remembering it. Thus far, only Nico had issues with it, but hopefully Waar wouldn't have the same issues in the future. That issue had been Morgan's fault anyway, with Nico. He'd needed to be trained something else a little more thoroughly before working with the thing that Morgan had been training. Morgan glanced up at Waar after a moment.

They hadn't really found anything out of the ordinary, couldn't see anything, and wasn't sure if there ever was to begin with. Suddenly, Morgan felt toyed with, but something. "Oh come on, we really do need to get out of here." Morgan decided to just continue on, and deal with the situation if it happened, otherwise it wouldn't hurt. The low-tide mini-ocean was pretty boring anyway, Morgan had seen it quite a bit this month anyway, so they weren't too worried about looking around for whatever the thing was. The mansion had been pretty empty today, anyway. Generally they tended to find all kinds of animals, or at least they had last month. Maybe things didn't live in the low-tide mansion like they did in the high-tide one? It really didn't make a lot of sense. Morgan began walking, perhaps a bit stiffly, in the exact same direction they had been going earlier, Waar in tow.

Morgan was sure that they would be out of here in no time, bit it felt like the little beach where the water met the sand just took forever. Morgan was sure that it was some kind of strange issue with how their mind was understanding reality, perhaps like the differences in how the time of day was perceived at times? Morgan didn't really like that idea, of course. They only had their own mind to lean on, and having it played with was not something that they wanted to think about. However, looking at all of the situations that had been occurred recently, it made more sense. There were creatures that had psychic-like powers, so-called. So there was probably one of those around here, too, right? Still, Morgan kept moving on, walking in that straight line, across the sand. The odd thing is that if this was something psychic, than Waar was feeling it too. He was right there, following along like normal.

The pair was absolutely determined to get home. Each one of the two were wanting to get home for different reasons; but it was in one accord otherwise. Morgan was worried that they may get stuck here, and without having a way to use Waar as a mount, there was no real way of doing this any other way than Morgan was doing. Waar, on the other hand, was getting pretty tired of practically walking around in circles, and wanted to have a nice meal and a warm sleep in the barn. He didn't really want to keep on, but also didn't want to take flight and go home without Morgan being there as well; mostly because that meant that he wouldn't get fed either. It was a mess. However, Morgan was quiet and determined, they were going to get out of this place. Perhaps it would be less stressful during the next month?

It was very possible, Morgan thought, that they could have managed to over-do it at the mansion this month. The mansion was really the only place other than the park and home that Morgan could think of to take Waar. Sure, he could probably go down into the mines, but Morgan had no desire to ever go down into the mines, pretty much ever.... There was really no where else that Morgan could think of that was far enough away from people in order to bond with him. Sure, Morgan could probably explore the park, but what was the reasoning for doing that? It was not near as interesting. No, Morgan had made a logical decision, and now who knew what was going on. Morgan frowned, and internalized it a bit. Morgan tended to blame theirself on the strange occurrences that tended to happen to the commonly. It certainly wasn't Waar's fault.

Despite all that was going on, and how long they had been walking in what Morgan was sure was a straight line, boots pressing into the squishy wet sand. Waar seemed to be having an easier time of it, despite the grit between his foot-bones. Morgan probably would have thought that it was quite funny, seeing him stop every few feet or so to try to shake the grit out, but they were starting to get more worried about the situation, more settled in that this was a bad thing. After what felt like forever, walking across the sand, Morgan could finally see that they were walking and it was actually 'doing something'; they were getting incredibly close to what looks like another salt marsh. Anything was better than walking in sand at this point; Morgan didn't like doing it for long periods of time because it was hard on their ankles.

Morgan's ankles had never really been as strong as they would have wished perhaps; ever since they were young their ankles hadn't been exactly built all the way right. Morgan's father had told them that it was a familial trait; and had shown them his own ankles, the same. It turned out that sand was really harsh on them, as Morgan was noting now. Still, they moved a bit faster, Morgan speeding up in an attempt to get out of this mess. Finally, after what felt like forever but had to be just a few moments, Morgan had managed to move across the sand and into the saltgrass, finally. They felt a little giddy; a bit lightheaded, maybe because they hadn't expected any of this. Soon, they would be able to get home, right? Waar was just behind Morgan, they noticed as they had turned around. They'd half expected him to not have been there when they turned around.

The giddy feeling faded fairly quickly, since they still weren't really out of the metaphorical woods yet. Waar was watching their movements as they stepped forward, and noticed the slight calming of the human. Ah, perhaps they were about to go home? Morgan noticed that there was indeed a gate, a black gate ahead. "Aha, I just knew we'd find it if we walked in a straight line!" They could almost have started running, but they knew that Waar wouldn't be able to keep up. Still, they were ready to get out of here and go home. They'd been planning to train Waar a bit after this, but who knew how late it was during the day? It sure felt like it had been several hours. Morgan managed to get to the gate; and look around for anything, picking it all up before throwing the gate open and stepping out of the mansion grounds with Waar.

Morgan wasn't even planning on going onto the mansion grounds today. In fact, they were really just walking Nico out by the mansion grounds (they tended to go on walks at least twice a day all over the Labs City) when they glanced across the gate for just a moment, curiously. The last time that they were there, well, Morgan and Waar, not Morgan and Nico of course, Morgan hadn't found as much stuff as they normally did. However; when they glanced across this time; they saw a cavorting pile of brown-colored creatures. A light gasp left their lips. "Nico, we just have to go in, just for a little bit. I need to see what those are!" Morgan said, excitedly.
Once past the gate, the pair slowly moved up to one of the sandy knolls nearby the creatures, but not entirely too close. Morgan told Nico to sit and stay atop the hill, and then slowly ambled down the hill to get a better look at the three critters.

The three were too busy playing together to notice the person wandering down to them. At first. Then one of them saw them and stopped, the other two following suit, wondering what was going to happen.

Morgan couldn't help but look a little excited. Were they like... Those seal pets that the labs put out a while back? They didn't really look similar, these had fins, bright and multicolored fins. Morgan took a quick glance back at Nico for moral support, and then dug around in their pockets. What do they eat? Do they eat fish? Do they eat meat? Do they eat berries or seaweed or what? Morgan had some treats on them for working with Nico, and Morgan was sure that Nico would be fine with sharing them. Plus, he was all the way up on the hillock right now, anyway. They instead pulled out a big piece of jerky, and divided it into portions, before tossing a piece out a few feet away from one of them. "Hey there buddies, what do y'all eat anyway?" Morgan said, quietly. They needed to get just a hair closer if they were going to study these, and they needed to be distracted for that.

The first one caught the scent of the jerky and beached itself on the sand to sniff at it a little, warning the other two back for a moment or two before signaling they could come forward. The leader of the three tested the jerky and then barked into the air, not paying any attention to the person anymore as it ate.

Morgan silently slid forward as soon as the 'leader' stopped paying attention to them, slowly and surely, putting those sneaking skills to use. However, they were sure not to get close enough that they couldn't run away if they had to. Instead, they tossed two more pieces of jerky on the sand, since the leader seemed to be eating it, they were probably find with just about any kind of meat perhaps? Near the other two. Morgan then tossed another piece of jerky closer, between them and the leader, hoping that they would notice it and come closer to get it. At this, Morgan pulled out their clipboard, and began taking notes quickly, before putting it back into their lab-coat pocket. Nico stayed on top of the hill just as he had been told to, but looked a tad nervous. Those were some pretty interesting creatures, and he didn't like Morgan being around critters that he didn't know what were.
"Hello there, little... Uh, things." Wow, good going, Morgan. "What are y'all, hmm?"

Morgan settled back down being a bit closer now, and began writing in their clipboard a little longer. Of course, they could be attacked by the creatures if they weren't careful, but they were being careful not to be seen as being aggressive or anything. Though they made sure to stay standing, so as not to be seen as weak either. They weren't sure too much about what they ate completely, about whether or not they were pack animals, or whether or not they could take down something larger than them, but they did seem to be much slower out of the water than in it. That made Morgan sure that they couldn't attack them without Morgan being able to get away from them pretty quickly. However, they didn't seem to be too much in danger right now?
Nico sat still, but was already beginning to whine a little bit. He thumped his tail against the sand nervously, not quite confident about this, but readying himself just in case.
