Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is June 5th. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 3 days to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 3 day deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Round one had been won by Kro, and while Ashe felt a little bad for beating Ashe's Drake so soundly, at the same time, she really didn't. That's what the Pit was for after all! She smiled a little, it had been a long time since she had seen her best friend and adopted brother, basically, so it was nice to talk to him again. "You'll do great, Kro," she told her Thundergug, patting his side and stroking his nose before she went up into the stands to wait. She wasn't sure who he was going to be up against this time, but that was alright she figured with a little smile, it was fun to not know sometimes. She shook her head a little, she had a lot of work to do, but hopefully this was going to be over rather quickly so they could worry about things later on. She had far too much to do.

Pit veteran he was, it still stung the pride to wake up from a faceful of teeth in his vision to having humanoids retreating triple time and seeing his partner, looking shaken, on the other side of the metal bars. As he rolled over into a sitting/lying down position, Caiman rolled his upper neck a bit. The old bite scar on his throat stung a bit. Must've been a giant target on him. He didn't meet her eyes, concentrating on the look and scent of that drake who did him wrong. He would remember this other one, who was aided by the wind. His partner looked shaken still. What's up with that...? There was a crumpled paper in her hand. Her emotional raise came from that paper. Glaring at the paper, even from this distance, he could feel a gradual, building heat. {What does it say. You are distressed about it} She showed him. A grayscale drawing of a familiar headcrest shape. Neither of her sarane dealt well with gugs. And this one had a reputation, by how twisted the emotional high seemed to be. He squints a bit at the drawing; it looks different from the headcrest of painful he recalls. This makes no difference. The gate opens again, a handler tries (at more then pokerstick point) to get her attention to get Caiman up. It was time. {Go.} he hisses at her, as they part ways. 1.5 Ready

"Okay Kro, let's try and get this done quickly okay?" Jack asked him through the Ribbon as she leaned over the railing a little bit with a smile on her face. She glanced around for the owner of the Drake and waved to her with a smile before calling to her, "Good luck!" Kro snorted and lowered his head at the Drake, pawing at the ground a little with a forefoot. He just wanted this to be over with and call it good for awhile, get some rest before the next fight. It was simply what he had to do, it wasn't that he didn't like the Pit, but it was annoying all the same.
Jack nodded a little, feeling his frustration, "Roar Kro." He reared up for a moment and slammed down onto the floor of the Pit, sand shaking and leaping into the air as he opened his great maw and trumpeted as loudly as he could.

Good luck indeed. Ridelys nodded her ascent to this statement; still a bit pale in the skin as she took her place in the owner's box behind Caiman's gate. She had vivid memories on two sides being mauled by a thundergug. Big, bulky and painfully solid. Painfully so. This wasn't her fight though. Part of her mind warred on keeping Caiman healthy and fit, wanting to for- {Don't you think that} came a sharp snarling retort. Caiman's head twists around briefly to glance at her, still one eye trained on the gug. His scarred eye narrows. {I will not surrender. I am not afraid of this creature.} It wasn't the creature himself, who was bigger then your average gug; it was his reputation. And then he starts making big trumpety noises. 'Brace yourself' she finally says. The drake is standing there, listening to the other roar. he's not impressed. But he's staying put. Or was he just casting his net without being seen? It was hard to tell here. -skip- 2.5 19.20

Drakes were not the fastest nor the strongest choice of creature to throw into a free for all; but it gave Caiman a chance to leave the ranch that he continued to watch as his territory. Someplace where he needed no supervision, that most humans would not object to his lazy sky-glides in sunlight, as long as he avoided the city. By memory, some entries want to finish their fights fast and strong. Ridelys could not help her nervousness about this; She would try to keep her head; the grumpy guardian she knew would probably cut down a thundergug if she ended up being smashed to pieces by one and then tell her off for being stupid and reckless. The only way to win this was to get into the air. {Now you make sense.} the drake agrees with her, fanning his impressive wingspan. Bringing his wings down hard to jump up and try to get off the ground before a mad cow-colored gug ran him down. -fly- 3.5 20.20 lv 261

"You see those muscles in his side? Maul into them, he'll start bleeding and not stop," she told the Thundergug through their Ribbon. She smiled a little and leaned forward again, wondering what they were going to do just yet, though she hoped they would win, it would make sense if they didn't. The Drake could fly, after all. Kro could always miss, and it was the luck of the draw if they hit of course, maybe the Drake would dodge out of the way or something. She sighed a little and rested her cheek in her hand as she waited for the fight to be over. It wasn't that she was bored or frustrated, but she knew it was only a matter of time before they were done with the tournament and everything. Jack was sure that things were going to go well, but she couldn't be too confident on that.

Calculations
Kro uses Maul A d10 is rolled to hit; 5 is rolled. 5+7 dex vs Caiman's dex of 5; Kro will deal the most damage possible. Kro's Strength of 11 + Maul's Damage of 3 = 14 14 damage - Caiman's Resistance of 5 = 9 Caiman takes 9 damage to the Stamina 7-9 = -2 (Maul would have made him bleed every turn if it hadn't just knocked him down)
Caiman is at -2 stamina; he hits the ground right before he can get into the air leaving Kro the victor.
Jack and Kro are the victor and gains 2 levels and 3 prize points. Ridelys and Caiman participated and gains 1 level and 1 prize point.
