Physical Description:
Has silver-blue skin, patterned with 'V' shaped ridges on body and limbs. Facial features are somewhat delicate, though this is offset a bit by the spines growing from his jaw, cheekbones, brows, and forehead. These spines are cartilage covered in skin, and he lacks facial hair, including eyebrows. Hair is icy white, and long enough to fall past his shoulders. Eyes have dark red sclera, with a lighter red iris, and round pupils. Ears are long and pointed, and move according to mood. Teeth are all sharp, and has a small set of fangs.

He's not particularly tall, only 5'9", and his body isn't anything remarkable. He doesn't have much in the way of muscle mass, and is a little chubby. Isn't totally out of shape, and still has a smaller frame, just a bit soft. His body is heavily scarred, but the only ones often visible are 'magic burns' (which look a bit like electrical burns) on his right hand and arm. Nails naturally grow to points, but aren't enough to be called real claws.

Nearly always wears dark colors, particularly black. Doesn't show much skin, unless the weather demands it, in the summer you might get to see his elbows. Has a taste for fancy clothing, but will wear simpler garments when appropriate, such as when training pets or mining. Has six piercings in each ear, and favors rose gold. Usually keeps his hair tied back when working, but some of it is always escaping.  Will do something a bit nicer with his hair when dressing fancier.


Mental and/or Social Description:
Above all else, he's interested in magic, specifically, increasing his own magical abilities. A large part of this is his desire to increase his power, but also simply enjoys learning about magic. It's something he finds very interesting, studying it, figuring out how it works, discovering old, lost secrets. Spends a lot of his time performing magical and alchemical experiments in his underground lab, sometimes for days at a time.

Generally polite, but rather cold, and doesn't have much experience with close, emotional relationships. He can also get snippy, particularly when interrupted while working, or if he feels insulted. He's slow to trust, and slow to open up to others. Easily flustered by kindness (and, ahem, good looking people).

Willful and determined, it's extremely difficult to sway him from something once he's set on it. Will often push himself past his limits to accomplish his goals, and this focus can occasionally turn into obsession. Strongly values his own freedom, and despises others trying to take control of him. He's willing to work for you, but he won't serve you.

Since living at the Labs, he's discovered a fondness for luxury items, something he's never really had before. He also likes plants, probably better than people. He originally started learning about them for their alchemical properties, but discovered they're something he actually enjoys. His house is full of plants now (the TROD waters).


Extra:
- To him, all magic is power, and has never had the idea of different types being good or bad. Light magic isn't "good", and Shadow magic isn't "evil", and finds these associations ridiculous.
- Has odd standards for 'cute', baby vespa or aargh orbaru? Adorable.
- Will absolutely hide in his hood when flustered, looking vaguely menacing in his dark hooded cloak, while really just trying to hide the fact he's blushing to his ears.
- Never actually cooks, instead has his TROD bring him takeout.
- Talks to his plants.
- Really loves chocolate. Don't leave it unattended around him.
