Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is the September 6th. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 3 days to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 3 day deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

As far as expectations went, things thus far had ways to surprise them, in both shocking and relieving ways. Quite a few fights didn't end as expected and some of them seemed to end way earlier than anticipated. This left the tat-lung a little confused, as the two sat in the sands, waiting for the next opponents. This time around they had been timely in their arrival, perhaps even a little early, compared to the usual habit, but then, the previous battle had left them plenty of time to prepare and get ready.
In so far as he understood it, everyone who came to fight, wished to. At least, the humanoids did, the creatures sometimes didn't seem all too eager or just indifferent (which raised the question in relation to himself as well - he didn't wish to fight and yet here he was, because he also wished to be here.) And yet they had had a few battles now where the end result didn't lie in inevitable bloody murder of every other round, as every other round ended only with a last creature standing. Sometimes opponents pulled away at the last moment, sometimes the Pit people themselves called things off. It was a strange way to do battle, to be sure.
But then, in a strong sense, he was glad for it as well. The less he had to actually harm, the less he had to deal with that inviting static which was growing ever insistent, the better off everyone else was.
