Well this creature was certainly a bit of an odd duck. Fanged felt her heart warm at the thought that it was investigating her presence. It was a touch wary of her, which was understandable. However, it was not quick to growl at her or try to attack. Instead, it was simply watching her and considering what to do next. She made sure to keep Harper well away from the wild gem creature. The Karzik didn't seem to mind much. The wild creature in question responded to her words with a low rumbling. The noise was not aggressive and instead felt more like a greeting in return. Fanged lowered herself, settling down onto her knees so that she was closer in level to the smaller dragonoid.
"You seem like the friendly sort. Bold and inquisitive. Those are traits I admire," she remarked. After speaking, Fanged lifted her hand outwards. She didn't reach far, but offered it out for the creature to investigate if it wanted to.

Fanged hadn't been expecting the emerald dragon to have a friend hanging around. Were they friends? That was sort of an assumption she was making here. Whatever their relationship, the second dragon stepped closer to her. This one was red and left a small scattering of gems in its wake. Immediately, Harper sat up attentively at the sound of gems. Fanged made sure to keep her body between the Karzik and the two gem familiars. She didn't want Harper to get any bright ideas to steal from them. This encounter had been friendly so far and she didn't want the Karzik to provoke anyone.
The two dragons were at least friendly with one another. They both watched her with interest making the woman feel a little put on the spot. She kept her posture relaxed, wanting to make friends as well.
"I see you aren't alone there. Are you two out hunting gems?" She knew the creatures wouldn't understand her, but talking made her feel more at ease. Fanged kept her hand outstretched in case either creature felt bold enough to approach her.

Tilting it's head, the emerald crooned again, rocks falling in water, and then stepped forward to sniff at the outstretched hand. The ruby followed suit moments later, and by the time the ruby was sniffing, the emerald was attempting to rub it's head against the hand and arm, enjoying the company.

The emerald dragon warmed up quickly to her. It rubbed against her hand, reminding her of a cat. The ruby dragon was still cautious, but Fanged felt a lot more confident with the situation once the emerald made contact with her. Harper tilted her head as she watched the interaction. She didn't like others approaching her human, but if she could come out of this situation with the gems that the dragons had brought with, she would tolerate things a bit longer.
"That's a good dragon!" she cooed to the emerald creature. "Now how can I get you to like me as well?" She moved to pet the emerald familiar. She felt her top pair of ears flick forward as she planned how to tame the ruby dragon. An offering perhaps? To her left side, an emerald lay abandoned after the ruby dragon had stepped past it. Fanged nudged the gem closer to the ruby dragon using the hand not currently occupied with petting a dragon.

Oh, a gem? The ruby stared with a strange look in it's eyes before it reached down and plucked the gem from the floor of the mines. It then slowly sniffed at the hand and then dropped it at the woman's feet, it's tail slowly swayed back and forth, this was fine, and it would prefer to stay with the emerald, if it could...

The ruby dragon warmed up to her once she had given her the emerald. With that accomplished, both dragons were now eager to accompany her on her journey. She needed to figure out a way back. She didn’t want to have three mining familiars walk with her through the mines. She didn’t like traveling with so many pets at once. Harper was not well acquainted with them and she didn’t know how the Karzik might react to the presence of the dragons. She needed to find a way out as soon as she could.
“Alright crew, we’ll try our best to get out of here in the quickest amount of time possible.” She started backtracking, wanting to get to an area she recognized. From there, she should be able to navigate her way back to the entrance of the mines. She made sure that Harper was kept away from the two dragons.

The two dragons were easy enough to lead through the mines. The main difficulty was trying to find an area that Fanged recognized. Harper stuck close to the woman, not pleased to have other company present with them. She was ready to go home, but still upset with the dragons for interrupting their journey.
“Okay, I think we’re making some progress,” she remarked aloud.
The journey through the underground was done mostly in silence. Harper and Fanged were both exhausted and the dragons were still adjusting to the two of them. Fanged felt a sense of calm companionship with all of her creatures. She was looking forward to coming back to the mines with each of the dragons as they figured out how to work together. However, that day would not be today because she had a backpack full of treasure she needed to drop off and a bed to sleep in.

Fanged walked through the tunnels on autopilot. She was exhausted and ready to head home. They walked further and the woman ensured that they headed upwards at every opportunity. If she wanted to get out of here, she had some climbing to do.
“I think we’re almost out of here,” she remarked. The terrain was starting to be more familiar. She felt a sense of relief wash over her as she realized that she definitely recognized the area around them. It had taken a long time, but they’d be out of here soon.
The two dragons were curious as Fanged and Harper approached the exit. They had likely never been outside before, spending the entire duration of their lives underground. This would be the first time that they had left the area. Harper was the first to leave. She looked expectantly over her shoulder for the others to follow her outside.

Fanged had managed to get herself away from the mines for a few days of rest and recuperation. She had taken the time to rest her injuries and was now eager to get back to the mines and discover new treasures. This time, she decided to take two new pets with her. She had tamed Ral the last time she had been in the mines. The emerald dragon had grown attached to her and she felt that he was ready to explore the mines once again. Pachinko would be joining them as well. The Izer custom was a new addition to her kennel. An acquaintance had given him to her in hopes that the Izer could help her out with some of her personal issues. With a little bit of additional training, Fanged was confident that he would be able to. Her Izer friend perched on her shoulder as they entered the mines. Ral was close behind them, though the dragon was easily distracted by the sights and sounds around them. Pachinko was a little more nervous, but Fanged hoped that she could get him used to the underground. This was Ral’s natural habitat so there wasn’t the same hesitation there. Pachinko looked around them in amazement. He was a hardy little Izer, which made him a bit tougher than the average of the species. Fanged hoped this would help him to endure the underground. She wouldn’t have taken him here if she didn’t think he could handle it. She wanted to get Pachinko comfortable with being underground, but she didn’t quite know how to accomplish that. Ral had taken to the underground quickly. He had lived here up until recently, so it was only natural. Perhaps it would be best to get the Izer comfortable with the area by doing some work here. She had brought some nuts along with her which would be good for training the Izer with. She’d start by teaching him his name. Pachinko relaxed when the woman pulled out the container of nuts. “Pachinko!” she called out to him. The Izer raised his head at the sound of her voice. He looked quickly at her face before narrowing in on the container of nuts. He leaned down and clacked his beak at the side of the container. Fanged decided to call his name again. “Pachinko!” she called out as she opened the container of nuts. (Ral 0 2/5, 0 2/5 | Pachinko 4 2/5, 0 2/5) (Training: Name 1) 2

Pachinko was quick to grab a nut once she offered one to him. He flew off to enjoy the nut in peace. Ral looked up with curiosity. However, he didn’t have much of an interest in eating nuts. Even still, he still wanted to see what exactly Fanged was holding. He sniffed at the container when she offered it to him, but he was quick to turn away from it. The other things in the tunnel were way more exciting to him. When Pachinko had finished eating, he perched patiently on a rock.
“Pachinko!” she called out to him again to get his attention. Rewarding him with food would be the fastest way to get him to learn his name. When he looked over at her, she raised a nut towards him in order to tempt him with another treat. Pachinko immediately moved closer to her, reaching out to take the nut. Fanged allowed him to take it and left him to eat in peace.
Ral observed the interaction with interest. He tilted his head to the side as he regarded the Izer’s behavior with confusion. Was it eating that strange object? It didn’t have the same appeal to him as it did to the Izer.

When Pachinko had finished his treat, he began to preen his feathers. Training was helping him adjust to the mines as it kept his mind occupied on a specific task. While he was distracted, Fanged decided to call out his name again.
“Pachinko!”
The Izer looked up at her and met her gaze. He seemed to be learning quite quickly and Fanged hoped that was a good omen for the future. When he looked at her, Fanged switched to praising him.
“Good boy!” she beamed down at him. She reached her hand out and offered him another nut. He accepted it quickly and fluttered his wings happily.
In the meantime, Ral had taken to investigating the rocks in the surrounding area. Fanged watched as he nudged at various rocks, looking to see if any of them were actually disguised gems. When Pachinko was done with his treat, Fanged resumed their training.
“Pachinko!” she said his name in a clear, firm tone.
Pachinko raised his head, this time meeting her gaze firmly. The increase in confidence made Fanged proud of him. He was certainly adjusting to the underground and wasn’t acting as nervously as he had when they had first entered.

This time she didn’t reward Pachinko with a treat, but instead she praised him and gave him a quick stroke on the top of his head with her right index finger. He hesitated for a brief moment before leaning into her touch. She left him alone after that, allowing him to take a brief break and grow more acquainted with their surroundings. Ral approached Pachinko, curiosity winning out and he wanted to properly meet the Izer. He leaned up and sniffed at him. Pachinko met his gesture by leaning in briefly before hopping away a few inches. When their interaction was finished, Fanged decided to test Pachinko.
“Rusty!” she called out the name of another one of her pets. Pachinko didn’t react, instead his attention remained focused on Ral. She felt a rush of pride wash over her. The Izer was definitely learning! Just to make sure he wasn’t simply ignoring her, she switched to calling out his name again. “Pachinko!”
The Izer raised his head and looked at her. She held his gaze for an amount of time she deemed reasonable before breaking eye contact with him.
“Good job boy! You’re really starting to learn,” she praised him again.
