Jewel wasn't a love expert. His idea of romance was perhaps a little warped, considering his background; so accustomed to people buying his affections was he that the idea of being left candy felt cheap. Did anyone expect to woo someone with a meagre offering like that? Apparently so, and it was his job (as he had taken it upon himself) to find out who they were. Rather than stick around the Quest Shop, he had decided to stake out at the Hunter's Lodge. He'd never been there before, as was the case with many of the other stores in town - when you were as broke as he was, you had little use for the marketplace. Odoshi didn't look overwhelmingly pleased to have him loitering, but the thought of finding out who their 'admirer' was convinced her to keep him around. As long as he was quiet, and didn't bother her unnecessarily. (1)

The real test was trying not to stick out like a sore thumb. Pink hair and lacy clothing made Jewel look like a walking advertisement for Vakrah, but even if one wasn't inclined to think that way, it was impossible not to notice him standing there. His diminutive stature had nothing to do with it. Something about the Fae was loud, whether he liked it or not. It probably didn't help that he had a giant, pink-tailed chicken with him, either. Rosie wasn't the queen of subtlety. Even if Jewel had been crouching in a bush or doing something otherwise spylike, she would have given the game away with her extreme friendliness. Everyone was a potential buddy! Still, he was hoping to use this to his advantage. She could sniff out a sweet treat like no one else; if someone was approaching with candy contraband, if anyone would be able to tell, she would. (2)

Odoshi was fascinating to Jewel for being a Fae. He rarely saw any others of his kind - it was a rare opportunity to get up close and personal. Sadly, she was hardly in the mood for such a thing. After five minutes of looping the lodge and touching things he wasn't supposed to, he'd been turfed out to set up camp somewhere else. Rosie had been waiting as patiently as she could manage outside. "That didn't work out, so..." He huffed, then shoved a hand into his satchel. When he removed it again, he was clutching two black beanies. "You ready to go incognito, girl?" Rosie trilled her consent. The Fae pulled the hat down over his mop of pink hair, and then used the other one to barely stretch over Rosie's head. Sure. In all honesty, it was drawing more attention to her rather than less, but he thought it looked cute. (3)

There was a tree conveniently located near to the Lodge, perfect for making Jewel look stupid. His grand plan was rather simple; he would tether Rosie to the trunk, making it look like she had been left to wait outside, and then scale the tree to sit in the branches and observe anyone on the way in, without being noticed himself. Genius! It wasn't comfortable to wedge himself into a good spot, but it would be worth it in the long run. Even if no other reward came forward, he'd be happy to have some candy to eat. "Do you see anything yet, Rosie?" He called down, as if she might answer him. Nope, no such luck - one guy had come along and stared at the beanie-wearing Chiryma with confusion, but that was about it. The Fae had his fingers crossed that customers would come along soon, in fear of getting shouted at by Odoshi for scaring them off. "They'll turn up soon enough." (4)

Jewel intended to pass the time speculating about what kind of person could have been leaving candy around. Surely not anyone with serious intentions of courtship, if they'd given the same thing to two different women. Unless they were very confident. He smirked to himself; no, even he couldn't get away with that. Not that he would bother with candy, anyway. There were better ways to get someone's attention. "What do you think?" He fished some sliced fruit out of his bag to toss it down to Rosie, who eagerly accepted. Standing around in a beanie was hard graft. "I think someone's playing a prank. Not that they aren't lovely girls. I just think it might be a friend trying to mess with them." There was someone approaching! Jewel jolted up from his slouched position and tried to swing higher into the tree - concerned, Rosie tipped her head up to watch, and cooed. (5)

You have rolled a Success! Your QP will be added to the bank, and your prizes will be sent to you shortly. You may continue roleplaying if you wish (take the following info into consideration when continuing roleplaying ;3).
------------------
After all that hard work (including whatever you did afterward) you are given your first glimpse of whoever has been leaving those horrendous notes...
A young boy wearing a sweater and shorts was holding a little box of candies and a card when he was glimpsed sneaking suspiciously close to the building, and then when he was spotted he tried to run away! After running directly into Jolyne, he turns around, looking sheepish. A tongue lashing by Odoshi later, and the boy was trying to defend himself- "I am not trying to uh, trying to be weird or anything!" He finally shouts, the poor thing couldn't be any older than ten. "I just want to open a candy shop! We were thinking about Selling Vakrah stuff too, but I knew that we needed to uh, advertise!" He looked really sheepish. "I thought y'all would be okay with it, but I was too embarrassed to ask!" He hangs his head in shame.
Who knew that the Vakrah Incident was a misunderstanding all along? The tiny entrepreneur was let off lightly by the two prickly shop keepers all things considered, and told that he can ask any time he wished (it was better than frustrating everyone at least).
