When the Magical Menagerie Labs slowed, people wondered what happened. Why the production of species had slowed to a stop and less news than ever came from those hallowed halls, not that they were forthcoming about their operations to start with. But eventually it was unnervingly slow, the city running practically on autopilot, the orders of customs and breedings delivered on no set schedule. Some worried that they would shut down completely, leaving the Lab City to crumble away without its powerhouse. And then... a newcomer came onto the scene. Led by a person that several knew already, Morgan Right, WELP Corp popped up almost overnight. It was a breath of fresh air for the nervous citizens; WELP developed brand new tech, clean and modern facilities, and created things that people were starting to think they'd never see again. For the first time in years, new pets are being produced and adopted out, for people to teach and play with. People including you.
You now find yourself in one of WELP Corp's adoption facilities. It's a beautiful place. The lights are brilliant, but not out in the open, giving the room a bright glow from all angles. Everything is white with straight lines and rounded corners. Uniformed employees guide you through the halls to the adoption area. The air smells fresh and clean, but not harsh with chemicals. When you enter the room, you're met with information on a variety of pets... which will you choose?

 The species here are not set in stone; if you want, you can order in a custom colored creature of your very own, complete with semi-customizeable stats! You can order one that's anywhere from a slightly different color, to one with a variety of beautiful colors and exotic additions. The world is your oyster! -Basic customs are $5 per pet. -Add-ons are an additional $3 per addition. -Each species is usually available as a custom in any currently available life stage. -Different species may have certain requirements or restrictions for customs, such as certain moves in their stats not being swappable, or for pets with particular add-ons to follow a particular stat base. These restrictions will be listed at the bottom of the entry for that Make sure you check your desired custom's species entry before ordering a custom! -You can buy a custom for someone as a gift! However, make sure you specify who you are buying it for in your order. If someone else is ordering it and you are paying for it, they must note it in your order so I know who to expect payment from. I will only negotiate and discuss what the custom looks like from whoever I get the order PM from. Once you have decided on what you want your custom to look like, fill out the following form: Once you've filled out the form, PM it to me, fieraferella. Once everything is sorted out and I understand what you want, you will be sent a link for PayPal. If an address is requested, please check "No address needed". Once the payment has gone through, I will begin work on your custom. |

 The creatures created at WELP Corp are artificial in nature, and thus cannot naturally breed. But who doesn't love baby animals, the pitter patter of little feet, and the opportunity to raise a living thing from birth? As a result, WELP Corp also offers breedings to individuals looking to combine the best aspects of their creatures. DNA samples from both individuals will be taken, combined back at the lab, and developed into some bouncing baby monsters for you! -Due to the artificial nature of these breedings, the two pets do NOT have to be of different genders to produce offspring. -Breedings cost $10 by default. -Each breeding is guaranteed two offspring, but very rarely have 3 by chance. To guarantee extra offspring, you may purchase extra offspring for $5 per baby. -Each offspring will come with images of the youngest and oldest available life stage. Exceptions to this, if any, will be listed on that species's page. If there are other life stages available, they can be added to the breeding for $2 per life stage. -The results of breedings will be posted in a separate thread so the owners of the parents can decide on which baby goes to which owner. -If there is more than one person ordering one breeding, whoever is paying for it should send the PM. If the cost is split between the people involved, the "Username" section of the form should include the usernames of EVERYONE paying for the breeding, and the "Cost Per Person" should note how much each person is paying. -Breedings will not be started until everyone's payment is in. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, just fill out the following form and PM it to me: Once the order goes through and the payment is made, you'll soon get a couple of cuddly baby creatures! Or ah, not so cuddly. Depends on which species you picked, eh? Alternatively, if you have two serums of procreation, you may breed any two WELP Corp creatures of the same species for free! |

 Frequently, a species will have very rare breeds of pet, called specials. Special creatures are usually quite unique or powerful examples of their breeds, possessing wondrous and unusual traits in comparison to other members of their species. These breeds were never available to adopt for free, and thus are quite rare in The Lab City. WELP Corp found difficult in creating and perfecting these breeds, and thus they are only available for purchase as opposed to free adoption, similar to the VSC of the main labs. If you would like to purchase one of these special creatures, you can order them with the following form and PM it to me. All specials are $5 to purchase unless otherwise stated on their species's post. |

![]()  Store Credit PurchaseIn addition to buying customs, breedings, and specials from WELP Corp, you can also opt to buy...nothing! For now, at least. Instead of buying something right away you can buy store credit, for yourself or for someone else! You can put in as much as you'd like, though like all other WELP Corp services, purchase of store credit is nonrefundable. As a result, don't buy more store credit than you think you'll spend! If you'd like to purchase store credit, fill out the following form and PM it to me: Current Store Credit$5- Jack $53- Renathan $50- Twilight-Claw $13- Skylos MML File Remakes   As it stands, very few of the original .psd files for MML species' still exist, and the ones that are made anew are usually proprietary to a particular flea market shop. Purchasing an MML File Remake is essentially ordering a custom. You can get a critter with the same customized colors and number of addons as usual. However, the species and stage selected will get a fully lined and shaded base that is a careful recreation of the original lineart. This base will be copyrighted to the site itself and so will be useable by all flea shops as well as staff for the purpose of making customs, VSC, offspring, specials, etc. In this way, the Hidden Crossroad's library of working files will slowly be restored! -Base cost for a file remake and its accompanying custom critter is $30. Addons are an additional $3. -Only one stage is ordered at a time- for example, if you order a file remake and an accompanying custom for an old salaves V.1, JUST the old stage will be remade, not baby or adult. More orders would have to be made to cover those. -Once a file is remade, anyone can order a custom of that species for the usual pricing. See the WELP Corp "Customs" post for more details on my usual custom colored critter pricing and rules. Currently completed files are listed below, beneath the order form. -If you would like a stage to be remade and NOT receive a custom along with it, the price is reduced to $20. -Species that have never been available for customization (Elemental Golems, Loot area creatures, Wild creatures, etc.) cannot have customs ordered of them but can still be ordered for remakes if you just want the staff to have a .psd of them on hand. Crossbreeds

Combine the best- or worst- of both words with these abominations against nature! Crossbreeding is the science- nay, art- of combining two different species into one, without any natural breeding being involved. Samples are taken from two pets that you provide and are blended into a single creature for you to raise and care for. -The base cost of a crossbreeding is $30. -WELP and MML species can be used in crossbreedings. -You must own or have permission from the owner to use the creatures in question, even if they are a basic breed. -When the order is complete, be sure to name it here. -Extra stages may be added for +$20 each, to a maximum of three stages- baby, juvie, and adult. -Extra sketches/possibilities may be requested for $10 per extra sketch, to a maximum of three. So for +$0 you get the crossbreed sight unseen, +$10 you get 2 sketches, and +$20 you get three sketches to choose between. The sketches provided are for ONLY the adult form, not any younger forms. -Each crossbreed is guaranteed 2 offspring, and extras may be added for +$5 each. -Suggestion words are five words that you get to try and sway the outcome of your crossbreed. These can affect both physical appearance and personality, though may be constricted by the parents. For example, you can't cross a blessed houluh and a cave vulticus, put "winged" down as a suggestion word, and expect to get a flying crossbreed. However, if you put "domestic" down, I'm more likely to give you something soft and pettable rather than leaning towards the cave vulticus's wild nature. They must also be a single word; for example, "sun god" wouldn't be a valid suggestion word. However, suggestion words aren't required- the option is simply there if you want it. Example: Tilvander + Lamadidron Suggestion Words: Subterranean, Slick, Glowing, Dig, Quiet Custom Items and Pocket Pets

Species A-00: RepointeStatsEncyclopedia EntryRepointe are beautiful hooved creatures, with long fur and jewel-like scales. They are a wonderful sight to see in the woods, bouncing elegantly with their manes flowing in the wind, but don't let their delicate appearances fool you- repointe are obligate predators, with sharp teeth embedded in their jaws. Repointe scales are made of gems, and they require a mix of minerals and meat to grow up properly and develop their iconic shining armor. Furthermore, each repointe grows a rack of antlers regardless of physical sex, with a variety of different crystal growths granting the repointe different abilities. Species A-04: CatharionStatsEncyclopedia EntryCatharion are floating, gelatinous creatures with far more complex inner lives than one would think on first glance. Instead of eating standard foods, Catharion feed on dangerous magic and negative emotions. Instead of becoming corrupted, these creatures effortlessly store and feed off of these feelings and spells, and are capable of re-releasing them in devastating blasts. Thankfully, they're usually quite shy and keep their distance from populated areas.
