So the old Nyssa was back. Somehow she wasn't too surprised by that, but whatever, the old lady needed to figure out where to put her garden if it kept getting invaded by a giant Nyssa and all that, but whatever, she figured it had to be an interesting thing no matter what. At least it kept her busy for awhile, Jack supposed with a little sigh. Jack pushed her hair back and looked back on the leash at the large elemental behind her. She, she thought she was a she at least, was a large Autumnwood, and she was lovely. She'd had her for awhile, just... hadn't done much with her just yet, which was a shame. Jack pushed a hand through her hair and tried to figure out what needed to happen. They needed to stake out the garden a bit for awhile and all that, which wasn't going to be hard, but she didn't know what the Golem was going to do right now. Frowning, she wasn't sure what to do with things, but that was fine. [Jack: 1/20] [Leila: 1/5; 7 1/10]

The golem didn't know what was going on, just that it was out of her element, well, Kennel, and was now surrounded by trees. It felt much more natural, and she sunk her roots into the ground with a creaking sound. They were all silent, which only made sense to the woman, but what else could they really do? Jack smiled a little and touched Leila's head, at least they started off liking each other, some of the others weren't so lucky. She smiled still and shook her head, wondering what to do with herself and the Golem for now, but hoped there would be something in the future that would make this worthwhile. She planned on putting her in the tournament, not like they would win, but it would be interesting to see how she did and all that. For that to happen, she needed to be trained, and in order to be trained, she needed a little bit of experience in the world. Loyalty itself wouldn't get them very far, she knew, and she hoped to put her in the Gym for a little bit as well.

Golems were slow, Jack knew that much, not just physically, but mentally as well. It didn't help that they were pretty dense, but they were powerful beasts, and honestly Jack couldn't wait to train up Ix, the other 'v1' Golem she had, the one with all of the charms and injections and Ribbons. Grinning to herself, she led Leila through the forest for awhile, wondering where they might end up. She wasn't sure what the Golem could do against a massive Nyssa, but that was fine at the same time, if they had to fight, well, they would fight, she supposed, though she would be the one who would have to with her magic, she figured. Whatever, it didn't matter, all things would come along with everything, and she could even heal them up if the need arose. Jack sighed a little and leaned against a tree for a moment, wondering what they were going to do with things right now, was it worth it to go any further? Or would they never know if they just took off now and didn't come back?

No, that wouldn't do, she wasn't the type to give up, and the Golem wouldn't give up unless she was told to. Not that it would happen at the moment, Jack wasn't the type to give up, she knew. What was going to happen to them after awhile though? She sighed a bit and shook her head, she didn't really care what was going to happen to them, she would be able to get them out, but she really wanted the experience with the Golem to last. Maybe then the training wouldn't be so horrible, she figured to herself as she looked back at Leila. The name sounded earthy and lyrical, and she liked it, though Leila didn't really know her own name yet, and it was going to be awhile before she did. Pushing forward, they plunged further into the forest before they got to the area where the garden was. It was big and sprawling and Jack felt at home here, but many plants were ripped up, odd for a Nyssa, she figured. Maybe it had termites? That was something she hadn't thought of before.

If everything went well for them, they would be done with this quickly, but that never seemed to happen for her at this point in her life. Nothing seemed to go her way very well at least, and she hoped that someday it would. She looked down at her hands and sighed, they were scarred and bruised from working with Houluh for so long, it seemed that she had forgotten how to work with anything else. Scowling, she looked at Leila and hoped that this would be a new day. Of course she had a list of things to do for herself that other people had suggested she do, and of course she was going to do that, but for now, well, it was going to be hard what with the tournament coming up and all. It seemed like the more she did, the more there was to do, and she could never get enough done at the moment. Jack rubbed her face and then put a hand on Leila's shoulder, hoping beyond hope they would at least place somewhere in the tournament.

Well, she was sure it would be fine at the same time, and she smiled a little as she started to pick through some of the refuse and things that had fallen off of the nearby trees. It was interesting, to be sure, and she didn't know what else to do with her time. Leila simply stood there looking pretty, sometimes flicking at something in the air, but mostly just standing there, not doing anything. Jack frowned and wished she could train her here, but knew that wasn't going to be able to happen at this point. They had a job to do and she needed to make sure they got it done, no matter what happened. Sighing, she picked through some more of the debris and wondered if the Nyssa would happen upon them while they were there. That... would be unfortunate, maybe for the Nyssa, but still. She touched the node pouch she had at her hip and the swords at her hips as well. She was set if something happened, but she had to make sure she could actually, you know, do what she needed.

It was all good, though she wished for her TROD armor at the same time. At least with that she could fly and possibly get away if she needed to, that would be nice. Chewing on her lip, she thought about calling for it through the link they shared, but shook her head, she would be fine with Leila and that was all that mattered. The woman lifted up a piece of plywood with a sigh and a frown, she couldn't believe what damage this Nyssa had done, but... at the same time she wasn't all that surprised, they could certainly do some damage to things, it seemed. Pushing her hair back, Jack wondered what was going to happen to them in the tournament if they couldn't get this Nyssa, but that was something they wouldn't have to worry about just yet. In fact, she still had to train the damn Golem and all that, which was going to be a headache. Ix wouldn't be so bad, not with the charms, but Leila? That was going to be a completely different story.

Well, the Nyssa had to be around here somewhere, she figured as she tightened Leila's leash around her hand. Some of this seemed to be pretty fresh, and she went off to try and find it, Leila finally pulling herself across the ground behind her. She was a pretty thing, slender with beautiful colors, but you could look into her eyes and see nothing going on at all. Usually there was some form of intelligence, but certainly not in Leila's eyes. Ix was different thanks to his charms, but for now, she wasn't working with him was she? She had to stop thinking of him, no matter how much she might wish she could enter him into the tournament instead of Leila, that would certainly be interesting. They wouldn't be able to work in the Gym for a long time though, you needed a lot of experience with an animal to get them into the Gym, and she just didn't have that much time at this point. Frowning, she followed some rather large footprints and came to a small pond, and she wondered where they were.

She looked out over the pond and made Leila stop. At least she listened to her a little bit, though it took awhile for her to stop her girth. Jack sighed a little and looked out over the pond, there were trees all around it, and she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing when it was all said and done. One of these could be the giant Nyssa, and that wouldn't be good no matter how she looked at it. Chewing on her lip, her eyes looked over all the trees, from root to leaves, and she didn't see one with arms at all. A scowl dropped onto her face, she wished it would have been simple, but of course it couldn't be, not for her at this point, but she plunged on with Leila on her heels, hoping that things would work out soon enough. That wasn't the point of it all though, she figured with a little sigh, and the woman was wondering what the point really was for all of this. What was she going to do with it?

Leila stared at a butterfly that landed on her nose, and she swatted at it after a moment, smearing it across a nearby tree. Jack frowned at her and shook her head, there wasn't much she could do about it, but Golem's were on their own level of intelligence, it seemed, very dull and didn't understand the beauty in some things, just knew when they were being bothered. That was fine though, she figured with a small smile, it all worked out in the end, didn't it? She reached out and ruffled the moss on Leila's head that resembled hair, and hoped that she wasn't bothering the Golem as well, when she swung her ponderous head over to her to stare. Jack gulped a little, but stood up tall and wondered what she was going to do if she was attacked by her own animal, but Leila looked away again and rooted into the spot again, as though she was pleased by what was there. Plants were weird, Jack decided, they didn't care about much except for feeding and all that, but that was fine.
