The Wiltholm Estate

The entire mansion is permeated with a different scent every once in a while; at this moment it appears to be a mixture of a masculine amber-leather-musk scent, and a lighter, more feminine perhaps lavender-almond scent.
The Inside of the mansion is seen by very few, but matches the look of the entire affair from the outside as well. The floors are all in black walnut, the walls are done in glossy singular tones, most of which are surprisingly neutral in the main rooms. A Foyer that looks a little too clean and unused is mostly un-intriguing but is the first thing that can be viewed once passing those foreboding doors. All of the furniture is done in the same black walnut and black cast iron twist, with most of the furnishing being in a neutral leather.
Beyond that is yet another door, leading out into the main room of the mansion. The floor is super polished black walnut, so much so that one could look down and see their reflection. The walls are mostly devoid of decoration past the windows and curtains, though in front of the large double-staircase leading to the next floor (carpetless and black walnut of course) up against the middle wall there appears to be a small shrine built. There is a picture of a middle-aged individual, half smirking (as if trying to hide his smile) and trying not to belie his fondness as he looks down at a smaller, younger version of himself clinging to his labcoat. The man's hazel eyes are soft, and his hair is cut so that the blonde strands point straight up; though they are quite long. In front of this picture is a small set up of candles, constantly being replaced as they need to be. Awash in an eerie glow, the simple shrine seems to call out to the dead and gone. There appears to be a scrap of cloth placed down, and a set of glasses lay, collecting dust. The only thing collecting dust in the room is this pair of glasses; they are chipped and scratched. There is a single coat-rack of intricately twisted black cast iron beside this; it seems to have been moved here since it would have went much better in the front room. It has a few lab-coats hanging from it. Oh.
The walls on both sides are completely covered in bookshelves from floor to ceiling, and all of the lower shelves are stuffed with books; books on labs creatures somewhat, but mostly on science. The higher up, however, the more fond knickknacks have been placed. They all appear clinical at first glance; lab equipment, but it is obvious they they have been placed there almost reverently; and not used since their last use. There are a few doors beneath the stairs on either side; these apparently lead to servant's quarters, perhaps the kitchen and dining room, as well as a mud room before a back door, conveniently hidden, can be exited from.
There is a small door hidden on the far side of each of the bookcases, and these actually lead to the terrariums; which are mostly furnished to house the dragon-like beasties that the owner of the house seems to keep for their hobby. That must be what the single-way mirror was for on either side of the house.
The entire bottom floor seems to have been laid out in similar fashion, everything matching in a slightly disturbing way due to the orderliness of it all. There are sconces every now and again, casting orange, green, or red light all finally blending into neutral light due to their placement. These are actually lights hidden behind stained glass 'leaves', but don't really take the eyes of the viewer away from the rest of the scenery much, sadly. They may be the only not clinically disturbing things in the front 'face' of the mansion.

Starting with the second floor, up at the top of two free-standing cast iron staircases with black walnut wood steps, one can begin to feel the strange eeriness of the place ramp up. There are so many, countless rooms. Each room is perfectly made up; a small half-bath connected to each one, with a guest-set of furniture in them. Every. Single. Room. Seems to be this way, and it feels abandoned and lonely. Perhaps the original master of the house used to host friends and family? Though the rooms are dusted and cleaned, it seems like no one has been in their nearly stagnant air for years.
The hallways on this rarely used second floor lead to many of these rooms and connect in a square together; all surrounding an extravagant meeting hall. This hall is perhaps the most 'haunted' feeling place; it is drafty without having an inch of air to stir in it. The table is covered in a beautiful leafy table-cloth, and all of the chairs sit unused. This room has two doors; big black walnut affairs, on either side of the square level of the mansion, left and right. It is obvious that no one uses it, despite it's cleanliness.
At the very back of the mansion is another unassisted double-helix of a staircase, nearly identical to the others. It leads up to the third level of the mansion; but stops on a fairly small landing that only has a locked door on it. The second level of the house is lit by those same sconces, and appears to be mostly devoid of decoration in the hallway saved for rows and rows of books and a few scientific knick-knacks.

The third level of the house is one that no one ever gets to see; but it is strangely done. The entire top floor of the house is set up nearly like a penthouse; a huge living space for a single individual. The Master bedroom is particularly strange; the walls and ceiling stark white, but once the light is flicked on; holograms of stars dance across the walls; it looks like the entirety of the heavens in all their chaotic glory are surrounding the denizen in the otherwise only sparsely lit space. There is a window here, a half-moon window with a small settee beneath it in black leather. There are a few well-loved books (storybooks!?!) in a bookshelf on one side of it, and another set of well-loved science books on the other side. A large telescope has been set up in the window to view the outside. The ceiling in this area is more like a setting sunset; a dragon flies through the sun-basted clouds sometimes!
There is a bed in the center of the room; it is covered in a cover that glows constellation-patterns from a blue background. There is a white fluffy fur sheet on the bed (faux fur) and a black microfiber sheet on the bed. There are a ton of pillows; most of which are dragon shaped, and a single long pillow otherwise on the bed. The bed appears to 'float' off of the ground, but instead is actually raised up on a black piece of cast iron and a glow is cast from the bottom to create the illusion. There is a huge walk-in closet through a door in the room.
Outside of the Master Bedroom in this area is a small kitchenette with a dining table made up of black stainless steel with matching seats. There is a sitting room with black leather plush couches, a television, radio, and quite a few other niceties for the enjoyment of the denizen. There is a huge full bathroom with a large shower in it; though this is perhaps the most clinical relatively normal room in the home. Everything is put away and has it's place. The floor is tiled, here. However, the shower also seems to have some sort of a holo-graphic quality that can be turned on to produce a calming atmosphere.
In the farthest corner of this living space is a small locked room. Inside, a child's bedroom is absolutely DECKED OUT in a fantasy medieval dragon theme. It is covered in dust, and appears completely disused. Toys are still in their places... Oh. Looks like the denizen moved into the master bedroom from this one a long, long time ago.
In the middle of all of this is, for what is lack of a better description, an observatory or a lab. Everything is particularly clean and set aside perfectly. Everything has both wheels and a stopper on it, and is made of stainless steel. The floor appears very easily cleaned. Everything has it's place, and it opens up into the large dome that can be seen in the outside of the house. All of the scientific items in the room look new; not like the neatly and carefully worn ones on the first floor. Nothing appears to be here that isn't currently needed for Morgan's job and hobbies; technically looking at first glance like the least sentimental room in the home.
Strangely enough, a large paper-and-wood dragon seems to have been made in this room; and is suspended from the ceiling. It is well-taken-care of. Did the denizen of the home make this with the old master long ago?
