Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

The wind sang through his longhorns as Scho dove, and flattened his opponent, his teeth in the other drake's throat. There were loud roars of victory, but his was the loudest. Craning his head back, the longhorn drake crowed his victory, standing over the other drake, beneath his claws. Humans were coming out, smelling of strong things, and weak things, and all trying to crowd the downed drake. Another one offered him a large chunk of meat. Oooh, food. He snatched it out of their waiting claws, and marched off his prize to eat in the corner. It was so juicy... and it made him sleepy.... Mmm, meat. When he came to, he had been dreaming good dreams of meat. Meat, and him being flanked by creatures all screaming the noise he loved so much. When he looked around, no longer in the pit, the feeder was there, watching him. He watched back, mildly curious on why she was over there, and not in here, feeding him more meat. The door opened, and she was gone again. And he marched out into pit, proud. -ready-

The previous fight had come to a rather abrupt and fiery end, invisibility hadn't helped in avoiding the wide burst of flame. Schism had been sulking ever sense, and only occasionally communicating through the ribbon to complain. He was agreeable to returning to the Pit at least, but whether the next match would improve his temperament or worsen it was yet to be seen.
Their opponents had already arrived, and for a second, Nerius thought there'd been a mistake. But only for a second, because while the tier three brown may have looked identical to the last drake Schism had fought, he had the wild movements of an unbroken drake. Besides, he didn't recognize the other owner, and this one wore a silver bracelet on his arm. Nerius wasn't thrilled to see the latter, even without strategy, the fight could be over very quickly if the other got the first hit in. Schism too noticed the similarity, and after being released into the sands, snarled when he saw his opponent.

<Another one!> Schism snarled through the ribbon too, though realized it was a different drake. The scent was probably different Nerius supposed, but that wasn't really important.
<Yes, but he doesn't look trained like the last,> Nerius explained. A small comfort, but at least the purple drake had a chance. The brown still looked like he'd hit hard though, and again Schism's best chance was to disappear. <Phase out,> Nerius instructed.
Schism wasn't thrilled with this plan, and did as he often did, complain. <That didn't work last time.>
<I doubt this one can breathe fire, now phase!> Nerius snapped a little, even a slight delay could cost them the fight. Fortunately for them both, turning invisible was a quick affair, and Schism had already flickered out of sight while the other drake was still moving to do.. something. Nerius was just hoping the invisibility would be more helpful this time around than it had been the last.

Ridelys watched the longhorn drake snoozing peacefully. No darts, no shouting humans, not really, just... his meat and a nice nap. She wasn't stupid, the meat had been drugged. But it didn't... phase her as badly as the previous times. Scho was still considered unbroken, uncontrollable, and very dangerous. But he looked at her and there was at least recognition of her in his eyes when he woke up, vs looking at Banana when he'd woken up in the pit. He knew her, and that she fed him. But that was all. He didn't care on what she said, even if he could understand it. But Scho didn't know why. His focus turned to a bizarre drake of brown, white and purple coloring. Like someone had pranked this creature and painted his belly brown, just for kicks. The crowd seemed to be interest in this fight. Because Scho thought his eyes were going on him briefly, because how can you see THROUGH your opponent?! -ghost?!-

As his ghostly apponent seemed to just vanish before his eyes, Scho did a very prey animal sort of thing. He panicked at the unknown. Where'd that drake go?! his wings buffeted the sand and he found himself airborne before two and two could connect t hemselves together. Now ith drakes who are instinct fliers, he really didn't know what was going on. Raising up and going down up and down made his stomach kind of sick feeling. Like the feeling he could taste ick from bad meat in the back of his throat. Ugh, ick. Where'd he go?! Confusion and growing motion sickness didn't help his mental state any as the drake basically hovered stupidly in place like a giant flying lizard in th eair, waiting for bing hit. Now that was interesting. Ridelys had heard of only a few creatures being able to go invisible in plain sight, but usually that also meant they were ghosts. This drake had? been flesh and blood. -wooo... flying sickness, WHERE YOU BE GHOST-

Nerius was surprised to see the other drake take to the air, albeit awkwardly. The brown's fumbling flight reminded him of when Schism was first learning, airborne, but not graceful. He considered having Schism take after him, but the purple could only stay invisible for a limited amount of time, he didn't dare waste it on an airborne chase.
<He's awkward, and he can't see you,> Nerius told Schism through the ribbon, <Use rend when he gets close enough.> It was risky, the other drake would be faster in the air, but he didn't really have a better option than to rely on the invisibility and the other drake's inexperience with flight. And the former, well, that hadn't worked out well in the last fight.
Schism would have preferred to take flight after the brown, but obeyed, invisibly stalking the sands until the longhorn got close enough, where then he'd try to strike, and rip his claws into the other drake's hide.

Schródinger uses Gash! Schródinger's Dexterity of 10 + 5 rolled by staff = 15 vs. the 5 Dexterity of Schism Schródinger will deal the most damage possible, if he is able to hit A die is rolled, Schródinger misses his attack against his Invisible opponent!
Schism uses Rend! Schism's Dexterity of 5 + 9 rolled by staff = 14 vs. the 5 Dexterity of Schródinger (10 halved for defense against an Invisible opponent) Schism will deal the most damage possible! Schism's Strength of 7 + 6 damage of Rend = 13 damage 13 - Schródinger's Resistance of 6 = 7 Schródinger's Stamina is now 2

OUCH Ghosts DO HIT HARD. Scho dove down, seeking to tear into his opponent, but his claws met nothing. Ghosts can't be hit! but then it hit him back! Blood splattered the sand as he struggled back into the air, driven purely by instinct, and now great panic. Pain he could feel, blood he could see, and if he squinted, why was there blood dripping in midair? Wheeling about, the drake had to literally twist aroun d to see this. How strange... but then he could see brown... and white... and purple. The other drake ws back again, and he couldn't tell from this angle if he was covered in his own blood or not. Angry at this mockery, the longhorn wasn't about to let the other drake get away with this. Nope. he was a proud drake, and he was going to remain proud! By FLATTENING HIM INTO THE DAMN SAND. -rawr divebomb-

Schism's claws hit home, tearing deep gouges into the larger drake, leaving them both splattered in blood. And yet, the tier three wasn't down, severely injured yes, but still conscious, and still flying. Nerius had been afraid of something like that in the last fight, but it had ended so quickly there'd been no opportunity to test that.
Worse, Schism had flickered back into existence again, and was clearly visible against the dull colored sand. It seemed like it hadn't lasted as long as it had during their training, but the intensity of the fight might have been throwing off his perception of time. Schism was at a significant disadvantage now, grounded, and visible.
<Rend, again,> he instructed, trying not to fidget too much. The whiptail fights in the past had gotten boring, but these fights were much more nerve wracking. Schism obeyed, snarling as he lunged for the airborne drake, eager for more blood.

Schródinger uses Bite! Schródinger's Dexterity of 10 + 3 rolled by staff = 13 vs. the 5 Dexterity of Schism Schródinger will deal the most damage possible! Schródinger's Strength of 8 + 3 damage of Bite = 11 damage 11 - 5 Resistance of Schism = 6 Schism's Stamina is now 1
Schism uses Rend! Schism's Dexterity of 5 + 7 rolled by staff = 12 vs. the 10 Dexterity of Schródinger Schism will deal the most damage possible! Schism's Strength of 7 + 6 damage of Rend = 13 damage 13 - 6 Resistance of Schródinger = 7 Schródinger's Stamina is now -5
Try as he might, the tier three is no match, apparently, for the tier one. He drops to the ground with a sickening thunk and the pit crew comes out to tend to both Drakes
Rewards Schism gains 2 levels and Nerius gains 5 pit prize points Schródinger gains 1 level and Ridelys gains 3 pit prize points
