She found another of those strange, ghostly estharne not long after the first - had it wandered in like the first? Whatever had brought the white-hued beast to join them, it too seemed to come in peace. Sevyrn elected to create a home for the both of them - the way the two ghostly estharne worked around each seemed to say that they were familiar with each other, so that meant she would worry little about whether or not they would be safe to home together in a space at her kennel. More curious came the next morning, though, when Sevyrn walked outside to see some kind of pale yellow flower bud that had seemingly popped up over night - though odd flowers were not unexpected in a garden, something about this one said she needed to pay attention. As she crouched down in front of it, the pale petals unfolded to reveal... a face? 221 [tbb 1]

What an odd little thing, Sevyrn had to think as she watched a pair of tiny green eyes blink for the first time - she had witnessed a birth, a baby harachiu rousing from the flower 'shell' that had kept it safe until now. She'd heard about these little things before - had one even, though she had not been around for when Elisa joined the land of the living - and she'd heard rumors that recently a collection of infants had been popping up in the odd garden among the flowers, but she couldn't say she expected to find such a thing on her own time.
"Well aren't you an interesting little thing?" She remarked, as she carefully popped the stem that attached the hara's flower home from the ground to cup the young creature in her hand. Leaves wrapped around its tiny like a green swaddle, the shade matching the color of it's eyes, and Sevyrn swore she was a little bit in love.

She couldn't lie - she was tempted to run inside the house and see if Elisa happened to be awake. It was early enough in the day that the Pixie was likely still curled up asleep on her little crochet hammock hanging near Sev's own bed. When Sev had stopped to check on Ellie before heading out, she'd seemed deep in slumber - and she was in a phase where all she seemed to do was nap. The harachiu was young and growing, so Sevyrn understood - even if that wasn't the came, sometimes all someone needed was a bit of sleep.
What to do with this young one, though? It was curious, at the least, being present for its first moments in the world. Oh, how it had no idea what the life it was beginning had to offer! It would be a while yet before it was ready to stumble around and learn yet, though.

But... what if Elisa was awake? It hadn't been long since Sevyrn stepped outside so it was unlikely that anything had changed, but she couldn't help but at least check - the pixie had become an (adopted) big sister, provided that this little one decided that it wanted to stick around for the long term. Sev would be happy to provide it with a good home. (Was it a him or a her? She knew these beings were sentient, it felt strange not referring to them like she would another person.)
"Why don't we go look inside and see what Ellie is up to?" She said to the tiny infant, carefully keeping it close to her body as she clambered up the stairwell and towards her back door. "I feel like she might really like having someone like her around - and she can show you all about what it's like to be here."

The young one in her hand yawned, it's tiny mouth letting out a little squeal, as Sevyrn slowly pushed the cracked-open door to her room far enough to be able to walk in. Hanging from a shelf about two feet above the head of the bed was a small crocheted hammock, and within that laid a resting harachiu - Elisa was a touch older than this one was but barely. She was still young, still in the babbling phase of learning to talk and the wonky clumsiness of those early days of flight.
The toddler-aged harachiu was just opening her eyes in time to her the noises of life in the room, and she poked her little head over the edge of her bed. Her little hands grasped at the edge as she cocked her head to the side. "Baby?" She asked, drawing out the first syllable of with a soft ah sound - it seemed that Elisa recognized her own kind.

Slowly but surely the little thing was learning. It wasn't wasn't long ago that Elisa had been all swaddled up and wide-eyed as she saw the world for the first time, though, and Sevyrn knew that meant she should be prepared for this little one to grow and learn and start figuring out life for itself pretty quickly, too.
"Yea, Lis - that's a baby," Sevyrn giggled as she held her free hand out toward Elisa's little resting spot. The harachiu hopped up on to her hand and Sevyrn brought her closer to her body, so that she would be able to investigate the younger harachiu that Sev had just brought inside to meet her.
"Baby!" Elisa then squealed as she got closer to the young one, leaning in to investigate the little wide-eyed face with pure wonder. In that moment, Sevyrn had to wonder if she had ever even met another of her own kind.

Elisa hopped off of Sevyrn's hand to clamber on to the other, where she could get closer to investigate the baby - it was strange, having two little creatures with her who could fit in the palm of her hand. Elisa crouched over the child and and ran her hands through its hair until she stopped to cup her hands on the young one's cheeks. Clearly, Elisa was already interested in getting to know her new friend.
"Well, at least you guys seem like you'll get along," Sevyrn said as she turned around, prepared to head back outside. She was glad that she had taken the time to see if Ellie might be awake - out of any meeting for the new harachiu, this was going to be the most important one after all. "I guess this is kinda like your little sibling now? Or maybe just a friend - I hope that you guys will be friends."

The spriteling's grasp of common was shaky at best and the newborn knew even less, but that didn't stop Sevyrn from speaking to them like they did understand her. It was the best way to teach them, she figured - immerse them in the language. In time they would come to grasp more and more, Sevyrn was in no hurry to rush along the process. As much as she loved the idea of being able to hold a conversation with her fairy-like friends, they would only be so little for so long.
She pushed the door open and Elise knew the garden already - she'd become entranced with the flowers and plants almost immediately after she was big enough to amble on her own. The harachiu let out a little squeal as her wings started to flutter, awkwardly carrying her to the top of the railing that lined the porch. She fumbled a bit as she landed, but not enough to fall over the edge.

The fact that she didn’t fall didn’t stop Sevyrn from fussing, ever careful with what little lives got in to. “You be careful there,” she said to the juvenile as she walked over to the railing herself. She leaned against the rail with one forearm resting across it, the back of her other hand resting in the crook of her elbow to cup the baby that she’d come to care for. The little thing seemed tired - already its bright green eyes were closing like it was in need of a nap. Sevyrn understood - being awake and functional could be quite difficult, and this little one had no time to adjust to that yet. Of course it wanted a nap, the world could be exhausting!
As she held the infant close to her and stared out in to the garden as it came alive, she thought to herself about how she planned on sheltering this little one.

The next idea to strike her mind might have been strange, but Sevyrn saw merit in it. Grown harachiu were approximately the size of a full-grown human’s hand, right? She had a dollhouse in her closet, one of the few remaining remnants of her childhood, that was about the right size for a fully grown harachiu to be able to manoeuvre in… Perhaps maybe a touch too small? But it was definitely an okay size for ones as small as this one and Elisa, and she could always make a new project out of trying to build a more appropriately sized little home for when the pair grew in to adulthood. Ooh - that seemed quite crafty!
“How would you feel about a little house?” Sevyrn asked Elisa beside her, cocking her head at the pixie. “Something just like this one, but a bit more you sized instead of me sized.”

She was quickly falling in love with her oversized dollhouse idea - especially the idea of creating one herself. She could form something exactly to her own vision - rooms galore for these two to call home, and maybe more if Sevyrn ever came to care for another. The chances of finding another seemed slim (which was perfectly fine) but maybe the presence of not one but two would encourage the magic of bringing another to her home.
This wasn't the first time that Sevyrn had thoughr about building tiny Harachiu-sized furniture - she'd already considered the logistics of building a pixie sized play ground, it just seemed like now she would need to make sure there was a second swing on it! As the young one napped and Elisa scrambled back and forth along the railing, Sevyrn looked to see if she had any appropriate supplies left over to try to start this project.

Nothing - nothing appropriate at least. Sevyrn did not have the kind of tools needed to work large building planks down to toy size. It seemed that she was going to have to head out to the store - so inside she went to grab the little basket she'd filled with a 'blanket' made of spare fabric and a couple little toys - toys she had pulled from said dollhouse that gave her the idea to make one suitable for these guys when they were grown. The basket served as a place for them to hang out while out and about, though Elisa was quite curious about the world and would likely spend the ride to the store on her shoulder.
It wasn't long before they were back, and Sevyrn was pulling a wagon filled with craft and hobby supplies through the gate in to her yard. She followed the dirt-trodden path towards the stairs to the porch.

After popping the travel basket on the porch by the door, Sevyrn started to pull the supplies and tools up on to the porch with her. Though she'd give Elisa more space to explore as she got older, for now her outside world consisted of this space - there was too much crazy going on down on the ground and a lot of creatures that she hadn't met yet... it was the safer decision. The young one still loved exploring what was up there, though - the tables and chairs, potted plants, a collection of random stuff that Sev had that she didn't know what to do with.
After picking a spot to get to work, Sevyen pulled the basket next to where she sat. Inside, the baby was awake - Sev was going to keep it close to her.
"You know what, I think I need to decide on a name for you. I can't just call you the baby forever, can I?"

Sevyrn procrastinated starting the project that she was working on to debate the subject at hand - what did she want to call this sweet little one? It didn't take long for an idea to pop in her head, and somehow it just felt right.
"How about Chester? What do you think?" She asked the young one, cocking her head to the side. The harachiu clearly didn't understand what she was saying and looked at the girl with a mixture of confusion and wonder. Sev gave the little one a sweet smile. "I dunno, I just have a feeling that you're a boy. I think that Chester would be a good name for you."
Chester and Eliza - the two little harachiu that Sev had the pleasant experience of getting to care for and show this crazy world. Now that she was in this position, she couldn't imagine wanting it to be any other way.

With that decided it was time to get to work - Sevyrn had some craft board that would make a good base for the house so with a pencil and a ruler she started to draw out an idea for room sizes and positions within the first level of the house. She planned on making the little building have two floors, and to find a way to put it together that would allow her to detach the layers from each other to be able to clean the inside when she would need to. Hopefully she would be able to teach these guys to clean up after themselves after they got older, but she knew especially while they were children that was not going to happen.
Periodically, she looked away from her project at hand to check on Elisa and the young one beside her to make sure that everyone was still doing well.
