Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

That had not gone to plan. Igor lost his first match, though it was close in the end. I was right about the opponent's tough hide being difficult for him to get through with his claws. They grey creature did fall, but only after taking Igor down first. Apparently, that meant that he lost. As annoying as it was, I knew I couldn't change the rules. Not wanting to be banned from the tournament, I accepted my loss, waited for Igor to be healed, and prepared for the next round to start.
Despite the ultimate outcome of the last match, I was feeling confident in Igor. I finally got to see how strong his claws and spikes were first hand. I knew he was capable of putting up a good fight. I gave him a treat for his efforts and took my place in the arena. My opponent would be arriving soon, and I was ready for them.
[Waiting.]

Another battle, then. Fiera was thrilled that she had won her first fight, though she had heard things about this next opponent. First things first, apparently the tat-lung on the other side of the ring was not the creature that Ophelia was going to be battling, but was actually her opponent. She supposed that made sense- tat-lung were incredibly intelligent after all. Though chances are that would give Ophelia... ideas. Still. Her actual opponent was the ghaenelt at their feet. Apparently it had lost its last fight, but only by a nose, with its opponent being felled moments after by falling on his sharp spines. Fiera definitely needed Ophelia to stay away from those, and hopefully the creatures wouldn't get close enough to deal some damage to her. Ophelia was... a little flimsy, after all. Still, as the amphadron entered the ring, filled with confidence, you really couldn't tell that she could go down in a single hit.
(Ready!)

Fiera couldn't really speak for the speed of ghaenelts. The only ones she had ever trained were stagnant ghaenelts, which weren't really known for doing much of anything... at least, not while they were young. As a result, she couldn't really say how Igor was going to react to this. Still, the humanish wanted to start this battle off right, and she knew the Ophelia's wave of muck was the easiest way to do it. "Ophelia, make some waves!" She called out into the arena. The amphadron nodded and began to swirl her hands around, tugging on the magic that flowed around her, willing water and soil into existence. Soon droplets appeared in the air, gathering and clinging together with the dust that littered the arena floor, until she was sending a massive wave of muddy water crashing down on the body of her opponent. It might be the only damaging move Ophelia knew, but gracious if it wasn't effective.
(Ophelia uses Wave of Muck.)

Well this was interesting. A human showed up with an odd creature like I had never seen before. This was starting to become a trend around here. Luckily I didn't have to know anything about the creature in order to make my next move. I just hoped that its hide was a little less tough than the last one so that Igor's bite would stop it quickly.
I could see that it was preparing an attack, so Igor had to move quickly if he wanted a chance. This creature had some kind of magic it was conjuring. I was uncertain about how tough Igor was against magic. For some reason I hadn't been expecting that. I felt bad for the dignified looking creature in the pit, summoning magic at the call of its master. I had always imagined such affairs to be all fangs and claws. It was a lot to learn all at once.
"Igor, bite!" I commanded. Igor wasted no time in charging in.
[Igor uses bite.]
