This Tutorial will go over several different miscellaneous systems onsite. These systems are always voluntary to participate in, but if you are interested in working with the creatures that have miscellaneous systems, please do read their section carefully. Miscellaneous systems have very little to do with one another, and can be read without regarding the other systems if you are interested in a system or two in particular.
This Tutorial is short, but may grow in the future if more Miscellaneous Activities pop up.
Fossil Revival is a system in which you can take some of the fossils you may have found while Down in the Mines and have the Museum extract enough DNA out of the fossils to provide you with a new Re-animated buddy! Of course, re-animated creatures may not always come out how you expect- but that is the fun of it! Mix and match ingredients to see what you get. Different ingredient lists can make completely different results, but generally using the same lists may have similar results.
How to do basic Fossil Revival 1. Obtain a Full Set of Fossils! -2 Full Amber Pieces is One Set -4 Brittle Bones is One Set -6 Fossils(either kind) is One Set 2. Completely Optional: Add A Single (1) Keystone Fossil! -Keystone Fossils are as follows: Scale, Wishbone, Scuta, Vertebrae, and Claw. 3. Completely Optional: Add A Single (1) Marquise Stone! Any Marquise stone is fine. 4. Completely Optional: Add a Single (1) berry from this list: Pachee Berry of Masculinity, Pachee Berry of Femininity 5. Go Here and fill out the form. 6. Wait patiently for the Museum to be finished with your revival! When your creature is done being Re-animated, you will be given your new prehistoric buddy! -Remember, after you turn in the items to get your re-animated buddy, you will lose those items! -NOTE: Every Baby form of a Prehistoric 'Fossil Revived' creature is on a base. There are quite a few bases though, for the different types and sub-types of creature! Colors will often be different.
You will receive a basic re-animated creature, at this stage. Your new buddy can grow, but you must take extra good care of them in order to make sure that they grow up good and strong, or they'll never grow! You must feed your Re-animated creature and make sure to spend time with it, so that it gains levels. After the process is completed and you've put the work in, you can bring your baby back to the Museum to be put in an Incubator- and it will Evolve! Evolution is a long and arduous process, so it may take a long while to get your buddy back. During the time period in which you are waiting, you cannot play with your re-animated buddy until it is given back to you, grown!
How to evolve a Re-Animated Baby 1. For every five (5) levels and loyalty (together, so it must be raised by You) it gains, you may feed it a single (1) Nutrient! Nutrients can be bought at the Nature's Bounty. 2. You may feed your Re-Animated creature Ten (10) Nutrients at most. You don't have to feed it that many if you don't want to. 3. A Single Nutrient can be used no more than Five (5) times. 4. Starting at Level and Loyalty 25, it can be taken to the incubator to Evolve. -Fill out the form in the request thread. 5. It can only evolve once, and it is permanent/cannot be reversed! -Evolution takes a long time, after all, the artist must draw it! Do not ask the artist about the status of your growth, it will take time. Be patient. If you harass the artist, you will be banned from the fossil revival system. -NOTE: Every Evolved creature is unique, and must be hand-drawn! If you get a similar creature to someone else, it will have different coloring and/or markings at the very least!
At this point, you will have a fully evolved dinosaur! Congratulations!
If you see a re-animated that someone else has that you'd like, you will probably get something very similar if you feed your 'same-type' re-animated baby the same diet as the individual that got that one. After all, re-animated buddies that are the same type and raised the same way aught to be pretty similar? Of course, if you want a completely different re-animated creature, you could always do a combination that has not be done before!
Vai Min Mur is always in the air with these delightful beasts! Enjoy the fright all year round with your very own Corpse Construct! These beasties are ravenous in their youth, starting as some bones and slime and soon gobbling up enough to form a body. As they reach adulthood, the observant owner might notice differences starting to pop up - namely that these creatures have started taking on the traits of the creatures they have eaten! Is that a hoof? Is that a wing? It's hard to force certain traits to take hold, so feeding them specific things might not get the desired effect you want...
But what's next for these bottomless pits?
Legend has it that if they manage to eat five special pets (ie, paid for pets like VSC, Custom, Offspring, etc, but not freebies like Pachee or Orbaru), they might just grow even more grotesque! This is not for the faint of heart and it can be quite traumatic for all involved. Once these pets are eaten... They are gone. Forever. Once the Corpse Construct has devoured and assimilated 5 pets, please post in the correct Requests Page with links to the five, erm, meals.
Now, how do you get five pets to volunteer to be eaten? You may not eat another player's pet at random. You may have your CC eat one of your own pets, however. Once you have found a pet to be eaten, you need to start a thread in the Fighting Pit and title it "Corpse Construct Battle". You may have your TROD, or another player, RP the main course. A staff member will reply to your thread and treat it just like a battle. For normal battles in tournaments, untrained pets (Sarane excluded) aren't allowed in: This is waived for CC Battles! This process is basically like feeding live prey to a pet snake. Other characters IC may judge you morally, but Corpses need to eat, too!
For Corpse Construct battles only, you may devour a creature after it has been knocked out! This is outlawed in PvP battles such as tournaments, but when the goal is predatory and the decision is mutual, there will be no immediate healing from the Pit Staff.
***Please note: Due to the sheer power of these creatures, at this time each character may only have up to two Final Form Corpse Constructs.
1) Train a Corpse Construct "Devour". 2) Locate 5 different "paid for" special pets, such as Customs, VSCs, and Offspring to be eaten. 3) 'Battle' these special pets with your Corpse Construct. These must take place in the Fighting Pit for recording purposes! 4) Have your Corpse Construct devour the pet before, or right after, the knock out. 5) Post in the requests forum with links to all 5 instances.
