This pile at least. He grabbed the next box and went to bring it back up the hill. Lux was still trying to cause trouble, but Kadin was getting good at dodging the attempts. He was also started to get a bit tired. The distance wasn't great, but it WAS uphill and carrying crap along the way. The boxes were too heavy, but they did strain his arms after a while. He put the next box down and went back for the last one. Just this one more trip and he'd be done with this part. Hopefully they'd have more work for him afterwards. He wanted to make sure he was useful here, with all these people running around with their jobs, he didn't want to just be standing around and doing nothing. Lux was cute and could keep people happy, but he was better for getting in the way than helping anyone.

Alright, he'd saved the biggest box for last since it seemed like it would be the most annoying to carry. He grabbed the box and winced when it became apparent that it was also the heaviest box. Well. Nothing for it. He could always take a break if he needed it. It was just kind of annoying to have Lux tied around his waist when he was also trying to carry a heavy box up a hill. Kadin was going to start panting a bit with this one, but at the end of the day he made it up the hill without falling or dropping the box on anyone, so he counted that as a win. He was also especially careful to put the box down gently. Who knows what kind of expensive equipment was in there to make it so heavy? Then again, with his luck, it'd turn out just to be rocks.

That done, Kadin looked around for something to do next. He spotted that original scientist who'd been the one to give the run down to the crowd, so he made his way over to her to see if she had anything for him to do. "Hey, uh," He said, hesitating once he got to her, "I got all the boxes up here. Is there anything else you need me to do?"
"Oh? Oh!" She said, looking in surprise over at all the equipment being unpacked. "Excellent! Great work! You wouldn't happen to know how to assemble a telescope, would you? You could- oh, no?" She must have noticed him shaking his head, which was impressive since she seemed to be doing three separate things at once right now. "That's alright! How about you just carry this for me and follow me around for a bit? I need to check in with everyone!"

Well, he could certain do that. Kadin took her bag of... something. That was surprising heavy? He peeked inside and, yup. It was full of rocks of some kind. They looked kinda weird, though, maybe they were space rocks? Anyway, he followed the scientist around, watching her chat to all sorts of people and checking in with their preparations. She had to double and triple check that just about everything was right for the data collection. After all, if one thing was miscalculated, it could throw off all their data! And they wouldn't get another chance like this for years!
"Oh, wonderful, now you need to adjust it about 167 degrees- yes! That directions, well done. That will get the correct angle through the lense! Oh and next-"
She really knew a lot about. All this stuff. Equipment. Things. It sort of reminded him of the better parts of his childhood, working with different masters.

It also sort of gave him the feeling that maybe he should be doing more around here than just wandering around looking for lost memories. He could find... a direction. Or something. Eventually. But that was for later, right now he needed to focus. He continued following the scientist around until they checked in with everyone on the hill, just about. Once that was done, she stopped suddenly and checked her watch.
"It's almost time!" She rushed out. "Here, stick near me! I need that bag nearby for a comparison! Oh, here, it's going to start soon, look right up... there! And we should see it!"
Kadin followed her finger, looking up at the sky, holding the bag open by her side for whatever she'd need. He never really asked what they were here for, but from the way she spoke about it it was supposed to be something wonderful. So he stood there, with Lux, and stared at the sky.
