As she filled out the paperwork, a few gasps came from the patrons of the Breeding Center, and she glanced over her shoulder with a smile when she saw they were looking at her Dragon Oaks. It was always nice for her animals to be appreciated, and she waved when she headed back outside after handing in the paperwork, and she wondered what to do for things right now. She settled down beside the door, sitting there with her legs stretched out in front of herself, and she hoped that no one would step on her or something. Zech, with Ochre still on his back, sat down next to her and looked around, still confused as to what was going on, but happy to be out with her again after so long of a time. She really wished she could do more, but there was only so much time she could spend with things in a day it made it difficult. Sighing, she patted him on the haunch closest to her and then leaned her head against the building. It was warm out, but not hot, just enough to make her sleepy, but she couldn’t afford to sleep right now, not while they were waiting for a room and all that.

All they could do was wait for the moment until a room was called for them, it was a good thing she was alright at staying awake even when she was tired and all that. She wasn’t sure when the room would come, but it would come soon enough, she knew with a little smile. Whatever happened, she would be happy with the offspring, and that was good enough for her, and she hoped that it would all be worth it in the end. Of course she would have two new offspring to care for, but hopefully Ochre would be as good of a mother to these two as she was to the one she had now at the garden. The other was with a man named Kadin, and she hoped that everything was going well with his. It always seemed weird to split the offspring so soon, but they always adjusted pretty well and she knew it was going to be great no matter what. All she had to do was think about what to do and it would be fine. Whatever happened, at least this little family would stay together, she hoped she wouldn’t try and sell or give one away. It happened sometimes though, much to her chagrin, but there wasn’t much she could do.

Finally the attendant came out to get her and led the three of them to one of the outside patios like she had predicted. That was great, there was so much room for Zech and Ochre in one of those it was insane. They weren’t huge areas of course, but they were big enough for the Greater to stand and not hit his head. It was all going to be great, and she settled down by the glass wall as the two of them eyed each other for a moment or two before ruffling their leafy feathers. Jack grinned a bit, wondering what to do for them as she pulled the root pair out of her bag and tossing one of them to each Dragon Oak. Ochre descended upon them before she could do anything and handed one over to Zech. The big Dragon Oak took it and looked at it, it was tiny in his claws, and then popped it into his mouth. He was good with eating something Ochre gave him, he trusted her well enough, the woman knew as she smiled at the sight. Ochre ate hers as well and then sidled up to Zech, ready to get things going.

Jack wasn’t sure how Zech was handling the attention, especially attention like this, but thought that the root pairs had something inside of them to make him a little more receptive of the attention, which was good for them at the moment. All she could do was hope this worked, he was so much bigger than she was, the woman knew. Ochre didn’t seem to mind, she actually seemed like she was enjoying it as she fluttered her wings about, making a show of herself to the Greater. Jack cracked her neck a little and then smiled, hoping to see what was going to happen at the moment no matter what. Everything was going to go well, she would get what she wanted in some form or another and it would be fine. Jack pushed her hair back and hoped that things would be alright with them. She didn’t know how the biology of it would work, botany instead, maybe? Frowning, she shook her head, it didn’t matter, they would be fine. Poor Ochre though, what if she really did have a Greater as a baby? She wasn’t sure if they were live birth, if they grew, or if they hatched, the last breeding they’d just kind of been there when they checked on them.

Well, everything would be alright, Zech and Ochre were cuddling up together as well as they could, though Ochre was climbing onto his back again. Jack chuckled at the sight, wondering what was going to happen at the moment, and hoping it would all work out in her favor. It probably wouldn’t, all things considered, but that was fine she knew with a smile. Just having the offspring would be fine, she knew, and the woman nodded a little as she thought about it. At least this had been a productive use of her time today, though there were other things to do after all. Oh well, she would look for crystals some other day, probably tomorrow, and take Goran and Bigfoot with her again, she really needed to evolve that fossil to see what he was going to be like when he was fully grown. The two Dragon Oaks were really getting cozy with each other, and she figured it was only a matter of time before they had bred and would have offspring, but she would give it a little while longer before she went to check them. It was only a matter of time, after all, most animals got used to each other and bred together no matter what their prior experience.

Before they were finished, she considered the size difference again with a bit of a wince. It was alright, Ochre would be fine either way, she knew, and she still felt bad for her though. Just how did this happen? Was it a pollen exchange like with Pachee or something completely different? Jack smiled a little, she didn’t much care about what was going on at the moment, but at least she had something to do. Maybe breeding wasn’t the best way to pass the time, but it was rewarding when there were new lives in the Kennel. They brought a breath of fresh air, and while she wished there was something else she could do at the moment, she hoped that everything would work out well for her and her two Dragon Oaks who were in the patio room with her. Jack knew that things would work out for her, even if she got two little Dragon Oaks instead of a big one. That would be fine, it would still be worth it, even if she sold one of them, which she was a little confused about at the moment. She might feel bad, but… that’s how it worked out sometimes, unfortunately.
