> Xentus, accompanied by...
He was growing familiar with this sterile white facility, as it would seem. What was this, his fourth visit or so now? He'd even taken to advertising a pachee breeding himself, now that he was more experienced in rearing these strange plant animals. Fauna produced some rather beautiful offspring with the two males last time. The one he was most smitten with was the bluish-black bird winged female. She.. Admittedly was still yet to be named, but he was sure one would come to him with time. Until then, he simply referred to her as little 'chee.
Xentus was seated in the lobby, a clawed hand gently rubbing the fluffy mane of the pachee curled atop his lap. Her big purple eyes stared at anything that moved within the room, especially the passing of people and their creatures. This place was odd to her.. But, at least the lap of the leopard was warm.

Life had a way of throwing Sevyrn for a loop just as she was starting to get comfortable - it was one thing to be developing a working relationship with one person and yet here she was planning on at least considering a second such relationship? The woman was a nervous little bird as she flitted in to the breeding center, a brilliantly marked bright-hued pachee wandering at her side - Button. He has been here before! Not too long ago actually, Sevyrn had come home with a rather beautiful daughter of his and it seemed that he somehow managed to appeal to someone other than her... This was the second time now that she had considered being part of a paired breeding, and the second time that he was the male of choice to come along with her. Hopefully they would get along - the pachee that was. Her and... uh, Xentus, too? At least when she had started working with Jack they had a slight knowledge of each other through the other woman's breedable renting, Sevyrn had never met this guy before. "Um... Hello," Sevyrn said nervously once inside, eying the waiting room. Only one person seemed to be alone, with a beautiful winged pachee on his lap. Her own pachee seemed to be a little more excited about everything than his girl was, and scampered forward to check things out - the room in general, but also the unknown lady. 2

Not too much time seemed to pass before his presumed partner arrived. Not that the leopard minded a wait long or short; he found the company of little 'chee to be entertaining enough. The plant-creature seemed to be quite reserved, cautious, but not scared. It wasn't until her eyes fell upon another pachee that she seemed to perk up with interest. A male pachee, no less. She hopped down from the leopard's lap with a flutter of her wings, nestled beside the man's foot for comfort as she examined her suitor.
"Ah, greetings", the leopard chimed as he stood up and approached the new arrival, a pleasant smile curling upon his muzzle, "Miss Sevyrn, yes? This one is Xentus. Pleasure to be making your acquaintance." After presenting with a bow, the mammalian offered a clawed hand forward. He was a fan of pleasantries and making good first impressions. And he didn't want to seem too imposing to his partner. They seemed.. A little nervous, but it was understandable.

This one is Xentus. Sevyrn had never heard anyone talk like that before and she was struck with a moment of confusion. The leopard-spotted man seemed to be strange rather than scary, doing things like calling her miss and bowing after introduce himself. He seemed to be... a gentleman, Sevyrn would word it.
"Yes - it's a pleasure to meet you as well," she returned, swallowing that ball of nervousness as best as she could - and she could put on a great faux comfortable face. She'd been down this way a dozen times before, there was nothing to be nervous about - it's not like she was going to end up in trouble, this guy just respected pachee and wished to bring more of them in to the world just like she did.
"And this little one with me is Button," Sevyrn said and pointed with an open palm and tight-pressed fingers towards her pachee. The pheasant male had taken the lady jumping down as an invitation to come sat hello, and he curiously but carefully moved in towards her.

A careful glance looked between the two pachee, judging their compatibility. Button was a brilliantly colored male with quite the interesting set of markings, making his own pachee seem subdued in comparison. Both were beautiful specimen to him, making him all the more keen on seeing what kind of offspring the pair might produce. They were sure to be lovely.
"Greetings, Button. You are a handsome one, yes", the leopard addressed to the male gently, then gestured to his own pachee, "Unfortunately, this little one has yet to find a suitable name.. But Xentus hopes these two will get along well." The winged pachee nosed toward the male with a cautious curiosity, head bobbing like a cat's when faced with something unknown. A soft chitter sounded from her as she leaned forward to sniff at him. "Shall we get them to a room?", Xentus asked looking toward the hall of colorful playrooms, "This one has handled the paperwork and registry. This place operates much more efficiently in recent times."

Sevyrn found Xentus's way of addressing himself oddly charming, unexpected yet in a good way. Many may have found it weird to hear someone address themselves in the third person, it was not a common way of speaking after all, but it was... unique. It stood out against a crowd, and Sevyrn could appreciate that.
"It has turned in to quite the efficient process, let's go on," she said, nodding in agreement. This wasn't the first time that someone had beat her to the paperwork which made her life a little bit easier, but she did tend to end up feeling slightly guilty about someone else doing nearly all of the work required. Luckily it was a pretty pain-free process, as she had learned during her previous trips.
Sevyrn was already standing so she took the first movements towards the hall. She urged Button to follow along behind her, though the young male was interested in the lady with him - as she leaned in to sniff at him he returned the gesture, resulting in him booping his nose against her own.

And so, it starts with a (nose) kiss. The winged pachee perked up in surprise, but seemed eager to follow after her new found interest. She tugged on the leashed harness to hurry the leopard along. A chuckle escaped the mammalian, obliging her as Sevyrn led the way. The playrooms for the orbaru and pachee were strikingly bright and colorful, in stark contrast to the sterile white lobby. He found it funny almost.
"Ah, before Xentus forgets, this is for Button." The leopard pulled a small bag from his pocket, revealing a few fruit - various pachee berries. He offered the red one, along with a few pink ones, to Sevyrn as they entered the room. The light blue berry was for the female, if he remembered his berries correctly. After handing off the share for Button, he kneeled down to offer the abundance berry to little 'chee, clicking his tongue to garner her attention. She seemed torn for a moment, between wanting to play with the other pachee and wanting some food.. But food won out. With a quick swipe of paws, the berry was in her grasp and soon to be mush.

"Thank you, Xentus," Sevyrn said to her acquaintence with a sweet smile on her face, taking the offered berries in to her hand. Button had simply wanted to play for a little longer, but when his new friend was torn away by the idea of treats it was a good time for Sevyrn to offer him his as well. The woman crouched down to be closer to pachee level and called the male over to her, holding the berries that she had been given out to him.
Food! Button's pleased chittering warmed the woman's heart as he took the long blue berry from Sevyn's palm and held it close to his body. This is mine now, his body language seemed to be saying, and before long he was done with that one and ready to take the other offering being held out to him. If Sevyrn recalled correctly from her last trip down here with pachee, those berries were designed to help pass along his genes in to the hopefully stunning babies, as well as give them the opportunity to have multiple.
"It seems that they really like their snacks," Sevyrn remarked as Button finished up with his snacks. She stood back up to her full height and wandered towards the leopard just as Button bounded back towards his lady friend.

"They certainly do", the leopard chimed in reply, watching as the berry mush absorbed into the pachee's paws. It was.. Difficult to remember sometimes that they were more like plants than animals. But that aspect only added to why he enjoyed the little creatures so much. Once the pachee was done with her little snack, she was unleashed from her harness and allowed to play freely with the male, much to her excitement. Her little wings fluttered as she scurried off.
"This one looks forward to seeing what kind of young these two may have", the mammalian mused as he straightened, "And thank you, Miss Severn, for accompanying Xentus on this venture." He'd only done this once before with the company of another - his first pachee breeding was with Miss Ferella. But in comparison to going it alone, the shared experience was much nicer. Getting to meet someone new, seeing what their pets were like, and garnering new life in the process. What wasn't there to like?

There she was, ready to play! Button was filled with excitement as the little lady fluttered about. She was done absorbing the nutrients out of her snack now too, so they would play together - he hadn't been about to interrupt her mid snack, after all. The pachee reached out to her with one paw, wanting to bring her deeper in to the room. Sevyrn simply watched the pair with a sweet smile on her face, turning to Xentus when he spoke up.
"I can't wait - they're going to be beautiful, I'm sure," Sevyrn acknowledged. The hardest part of sharing a breeding with someone else? Trying to figure out who took what baby home... The company was great, Sev did enjoy having someone around if only because time seemed to flow a bit easier, but sometimes it hurt having to pick babies. She was going to have to come back on her own some time, if only to be able to bring a whole litter home with her for the first time in a whole.
"No, Xentus - thank you," Sevyrn returned with the same level of pleasantry. "She's absolutely beautiful, and it's nice to come across a new face. Maybe once I have some more 'chee we'll have to come up with another potential pairing."
