Already so soon, Xentus found himself back at this facility to breed pachee again. He couldn't help but to find great interest in rearing these strange little plant-animals. Plus, they were rather cute. He'd posted another advert to find a male to breed with his bird winged female, with an added bonus this time - the addition of a magical berry. They apparently did something with lotine in particular, but could also do something with pachee as well. What exactly.. Seemed to be undocumented as of yet. Being the curious feline that he was, Xentus was more than happy to discover its use for himself. Hopefully, it would prove to only be beneficial..
The leopard was sitting in the stark white, sterile lobby, little 'chee curled atop his lap. He hummed gently to her, stroking that fluffy mane. The pachee had been here none too long ago, but this place was still oddly unnerving. Bright lights, strange creatures, strange people. There was no safer spot than this warm lap.

It had been a little while since Nadia had been to the breeding centre with her pachee. While being back and forth like a yo-yo with her houluh, she hadn't found time to fit in anything else - but an interesting proposition had led her to reconsider. The experimental use of a magical berry in the mating. This was a new person, though, and any excitement was almost entirely erased by her nervous energy. Sprinkles was as perky as ever, but she had rather a droll look on her face when she entered the lobby and scanned around for her partner. "Ah... excuse me!" There was a mammalian sitting nearby, a feline with a pachee. Surely this was the very person! She offered as much of a smile as she could in her anxious state, and offered her hand for a shake. "Are you Xentus, by any chance? My name is Nadia." [2] |

As usual, Xentus lost himself in thought while waiting for his partner to arrive. This time, about the recent result of his last pachee pairing and how lovely they turned to be. And how lovely the next set of young would undoubtedly be as well. It wasn't until little 'chee perked up with a squeak that he was snapped back to reality. It seemed his partner had arrived, excellent. The pachee on his lap bounced down to the floor to get a closer look at the male, pressing herself against the man's foot for comfort. She was always interested in meeting another pachee.. Even if she was a little shy about it.
Now with his lap freed, Xentus stood and offered Nadia a kind smile and a bow. "Ah, yes indeed. Pleasure to be making your acquaintance, Miss Nadia", he greeted her, upfront with his pleasantries. He offered a hand forward to shake, "Xentus thanks you for coming. He is looking forward this venture."

Sprinkles was without hesitation. The second Nadia allowed him down from her arms, he was scurrying over to get a closer look at the female, eyes bright and inquisitive. A new friend, maybe! A pretty friend. Would she like to play? A thousand thoughts darted through his mind, but he settled with sniffing at her. Very gentlemanly. Nadia shook Xentus' hand - it felt different, to human hands! - and felt her smile melt into something altogether more natural. Perfectly friendly. Of course; no one who had advertised this kind of thing had ever been rude to her. "Likewise. I have never observed the properties of the berry you speak of," She said, voice still a little shy but growing in confidence by the minute. "Shall we find the room?" The rooms were homelier than the waiting room, at least, and better for casual conversation. Given the emptiness of the seats around them, she guessed that they could go straight through! [4] |

"It should be interesting, with hope", the leopard mused thoughtfully. Ah, to solve a mystery. He wasn't sure how often Nadia here might've participated in pachee breeding, but it was oddly assuring to know that he wasn't the only one curious about the effects the berry might have. Thinking on a tangent though.. This was now the third lady he'd come to partner with for pachee propegation. Two was a coincidence, three was a trend. Not that it bothered him any, but it was almost funny. He kept that much to himself, though.
"Yes, let us be off then." He gently tugged the leash to beckon his winged pachee to follow along as he led the way toward the colorful playrooms. It was a rather short walk down the adjoining hall to the first empty room, the door of which he held open for Nadia and her colorfully dotted pachee. Little 'chee returned Sprinkles' gesture and sniffed at him, leaning forward to touches noses, before she was hoisted off to go walking with her person. As much as she wanted to play now.. The time for it was sure to come soon enough.

Nadia bumbled along quietly, observing the man’s pachee with fondness. What a beauty! As well as that, she thought she would be wise to invest for some leashes for her own... it was sheer good luck that Sprinkles had decided to follow them to the room. There were days when he’d sprint around in random directions. “Your girl is quite beautiful,” She said as she ducked into the room, with a thrown in thanks for holding the door. Something about coming to the centre to meet a stranger and breed her creatures always made her shy. It seemed... crass, in a sense. Uncouth. Like there should be a chaperone present - though, she supposed, that was meant to be her. “I have never seen wings like hers. Incredible.” With the room wide open to him, Sprinkles was twice as enthusiastic. He was doing laps of the perimeter before Nadia could look twice - she hoped he’d find some more interest in the female. [6] |

The leopard dipped his head in appreciation at the comments, following after the ginger haired lady into the playroom. "Why thank you. She looks much like her one of her fathers.. Blackbird, yes. One from Miss Jack's collection", he said thoughtfully, looking at his own pachee as she sniffed about the plush carpet. His eyes then glanced over to the male. "Yours reminds this one of chocolate ice cream.. Dusted with sprinkles", he commented with a chuckle.
"Here, a few cherries on top for your dessert", the leopard laughed as he offered a couple of berries to Nadia - a red one flanked by leaves and a bundle of bright pink grape-like ones. After handing them off, he knelt down to give little 'chee her share of berries as well. The pachee seemed to enjoy this part the most. Who didn't like treats before play time? Her portion consisted of the light blue pepper-like berry and the magical one. The female fluttered her wings happily, paws grabbing for her snack.

“You know Jack?” Nadia found the man rather charming without a connection to one of her good friends, but hearing that didn’t hurt. “She has quite the extraordinary collection! Far more creatures than I could ever hope to look after. She takes on a heavy load.” The comment about the berries made her giggle, and she gratefully accepted them, stooping down to offer them to Sprinkles. At first, he had no interest in drawing close to her. It was only when he realised that his new friend was snacking that he wanted in on the action. “Ah, I see. Ever the fickle one,” The girl teased as he took the first of the berries from her. A voracious eater, he was consuming it and coming back for more in just moments. “The ice cream eats its own toppings! A marvel to behold.” A marvel indeed. Sprinkles was beginning to think that the female was quite marvellous, in fact. [8] |

Ah, yet another who knew Jack as well. He really shouldn't have been surprised at this point; he decided that Jack must have been most famous person around the city - especially with how she even rented out her creatures for those looking to do some breedings (at a fair price, no less). Oddly enough though, he'd run into Jack by chance in the mines before he even learned of her impressive collection of creatures. Xentus mentioned as much aloud to Nadia, seeing that she seemed fond of Jack.
Meanwhile, little 'chee had no interest in the babble between people, now that the berries were in her grasp. They were quickly mushed up and absorbed, a shiver sent down her back as the magical berry's juices flowed into her paw-roots. It was energizing! When nothing remained, her leash was unhooked from her collar and she was finally free at last to play with the delicious looking chocolate male! The pachee chittered gleefully and squirrel-hopped around her suitor before nuzzling at his cheek.

The mines, indeed! Nadia hadn’t ever met another person on her excursions there, but maybe that was for the best. She was rarely in good form while digging around in the dirt. Plus, she would bring her gem wyrm with her, and he wasn’t the most polite of company. No - this was a far better way to introduce herself. Sprinkles cared little for manners. All he knew was that he was VERY excited to be around this new female, and that he had very much enjoyed having some berries, too. Not long after reciprocating that sweet little nuzzle, his tail was thudding at the ground. Time, already? Nadia was startled by how fast it occurred. “My, that was quick,” She said. It was almost disappointing to have to leave their acquaintance so soon after arriving. Still, the intended job was done, and she was grateful for an easy ride. [10] |
